Danylo Like the others this run this SFT F1 #8 seed sank to the bottom of the solution-container (a plastic shot-glass π¬) after just a few hours and then chilled there until it got into the soil.
It only took a little more than 3 days from first contact (water) to breaching the soil surface. I think thats at least partially due to the relatively warm 23.5-24Β°C (~75Β°F) temp they got during this time.
Compared to the other two she seems to be somewhat more compact - even considering that she is about one day younger. Excited to see if she continues like this until harvest. I love compact plants as I have been abused by some pure sativas recently.π
Danylo Technically these pictures are 8 days after the last ones, but rather than skip a week I'm gonna "bend" the rules ;)
It appears this lovely Fruit Tartare #8 took my indica preference and monkey-pawed my ass into bonsai land. π€·
She grows VERY compact (~7-8 nodes in about 11cm total height) It'll be very interesting to see what kind of adult plant she will end up being!
The very colourful lower sides of the leafs did not continue onto the newer leafs. Not a surprise - I haven't seen this on a young plant's advanced leafs until now. Not a botanist but AFAIK early leafs and adult leafs don't share all of the genetic code.
Had to boost her up a few centimeters because the Chemdog grows with large internodal spacing and she was getting quite a bit less light intensity. Some of her petite-ness can probably be attributed to me not doing this earlier.
[Edit]: In the next few days they will all move into the larger 80x80cm tent. Probably moving into their final pots too!

Danylo Soo Week3V just finished. The SFT was the last of my three this run which got transplanted.
While being transplanted she was the one that (already) smelled the most:
Just touching stems and moving leafs through the air created a lovely spicy/herby aroma! β€οΈ
She is also the one looking most healthy after all the abuse! The two others are a little angry right now, but they'll come around.
Next week will be some recovery + topping, after that they will all be set to 1212 for flowering!

Danylo Not long after making herself comfortable in her new pot, she got two major modifications this week.
First: we did some heavy defoliation. It felt like having to defoliate a patch of moss.. where do you even start?! But it had to be done, so I tried to utilize/apply the rules I go by usually when defoliating and we got it done somehow. π€·
.. two days after that she got topped (finally). All three are now topped and waiting for the switch to 1212.
On new growth-tips she has some kind of multishaded discoloration. Different from the usual fertilization-zing IMO. Never seen this before.. will keep observing!

Danylo Its Week5Veg for this indomitable Sour Fruit Tartare F1 #8!
You thought last week's defol put a dent in it's vigour? WRONG!!
Just a few days later I had to deal with the bushmonster again... It appears as if she doesn't like to grow vertically very much atm but its the last week of veg right now so we'll see how she'll act through flower stretch very soon!
Had to do the 1212 prep cleanup like with the others so a lot of green mass had to go. Felt bad like always, but as I'm writing this from the future, she'll bounce back with a vengeance!
Danylo About ten days of 1212 now, and she is transitioning realtively fast into flower.
She has already stretched somewhat so I went in and cleaned her up a little. π
While doing that (unlike with the others atm) my fingers got a little sticky even! Rarely get that just from jacking stems (this early).
Cut off 2-3 branches that were out of bounds (tent is always limited in space..) and while I looked at the first in my hand a little closer, I realized that she is already getting colourful! Barely into flower and already doing that? Fastest on any plant I grew until now. π
Very excited to see where the next few weeks take us!
[Edit:] Changed/added some pix.
Danylo Another week has passed. These 6-8 weeks until harvest are probably my favourite weeks in a plants lifecycle. Most of the work is done and you can (without much stress) watch the plant reach its genetic target.
This lovely SFT#8 is a unique plant (to me) in more than one way. First the smell - It still has the "sour rhubarb, spice and berries.. maybe cilantro" base, but now there is also something sweet in the background that really ties the bouquet together!
Second is the colour: From afar she looks dark purple, maybe even black. But with lots of light and less distance, she looks almost pink-ish at the moment. Super cool to watch, excited to see how much of her even remains green.
This week was MKP-week (right after stretch ends), where I add 200mg/L of MonoKaliumPhosphat (0-52-34) every watering to help provide changing nutrition-needs from vegmode-flowermode. It's somewhat of a PK 13/14 analogue. Had good results since I started doing this so I'm not going to change a running system ;)

Danylo This is the plant/week that made me want to switch/buy an actual camera. None of the photos I took were doing the real plant any justice. π
The combination of green and dark purple just never looked right.π€·
This week I tried taking pics with an older digicam (10-ish MP / 15 years old) in addition to the usual phone (Moto G84 5G) to at least provide two perspectives.
However different the plant might look on these pictures she is doing very well! Packing on (a lot of) mass and keeping the crazy bouquet at it's usual high level! You know .. at first I think I couldn't _really_ appreciate the aromas/combinations because they were SO unusual compared to most of the strains I grew before. But after getting familiar with her now.. I'm starting to grow anxious in expectation to smoke this stuff =)
Stumbling upon something actually new is always such a cool experience!
Plant maintenance-wise nothing exciting happened this week - plucked a leaf here and there but mainly it was just watering!
Danylo Ok, soooo .. not the best pics this week sry. The fucking chemdog (right beside this lovely, innocent pant!) has decided to overload his spaghetti-ass stems with hilariously unproportionate buds and ruined my whole week. Taking pics in the tent is a challenge atm. I plan, however, to do my usual solo shooting in front of a dark background on harvest day. Hopefully those pics will look as pretty as she is in RL.
Smell intensity here should have a STRONG+ option because just looking in her general direction makes the room stink! She went a little further into the berry direction this week. YUM! π
Unfortunately she has aquired a taste for her own leafs. Not very photogenic but a lot of really interesting plants have strange quirks like that. π€·
Most relevant trichomes are milky-white so it shouldn't be long before she gets the axe. 7-10 days I think.
[edit:] Whoopsie forgot one of my favourite pics!
What a unique plant! Both regarding looks and aroma! I still struggle to describe the aroma correctly I think. In early flower she smelled like sour rhubarb, currant and coriander. Now (harvested, drying for a few days..) she smells like sweet, dark fruits of the forest with bitter/sour undertones and some doughy/vanilla notes. Taking good pictures of this plant is nigh-impossible! She was always very pretty IRL but the photos never looked right. =( The more trichomes she grew, the worse this effect got. The only way to get pictures faithful to her IRL-looks was taking pictures in low-light. [Edit: Damn I just realized the trimmed parts on my table look normal too - maybe my tent-lining is the culprit!?]
Vaped, the taste is unlike any strain I tried before - almost didn't taste like weed? ... always very cool to experience new stuff like this! Effects are a great hybrid high.. maybe a little indica-leaning. Needs further testing though ;)
She was very easy to grow, no real complications during any stage.. the only downside would have been the almost too-compact structure before flower, but she stretched herself right out of that.
(will probably update this post with stuff and/or pics I forgot the next few days)

Danylo She was the first out of my three to get the axe. Aroma, trichomes etc. she had peaked :D So waiting would just have meant lower quality.
This run I'm experimenting somewhat: Usually I exclusively wet-trim. But I wanted to see how the other half lives, sooo.. I'm trying to do half of the plant wet and half dry-trim. Never done a dry trim before so I better go watch some youtube guides!
Wet trim part was easy enough. Buds didn't really have a lot of leafs to trim off. π€·
Like the buds, scissors and cleaning wipes were dark purple the whole time though β€οΈ
I also prefer indica, but the Tartare stretches quite a lot β youβll see for yourself π Itβll be interesting to watch how it progresses for you. I wish you lots of luck.
@Mr_Juice, [Week 2 Flower] Bro you were right! She was super small until the change to 12hrs light. I already dreaded all that comes with a too small/dense plant.. but now she is actually in the progress of stretching herself free! This is way more stretch than I'd have expected! Didn't want to believe it but here we are! β€οΈ
Nice diary again bro! A tip for the future, invest a bit in buying a good (camera) light, something with a nice daytime colour, which you can preferably set in strength/colour (often a bit more expensive though). Light makes all the difference in pictures, or try taking them outdoors or near a window for direct sunlight, put down a black or white background and shoot them with as much natural light as possible, success guaranteed!
@DutchPassion_Official
, Yep I think that would fix a lot of problems! At the moment all the lighting for photos is provided by whatever LEDs are in my MarsHydro FC-E3000πΆ
[Edit:] Damn I just looked over the last few pics again and the one with trimmed buds in the black saucer on my trim table actually does look a lot better because it got daylight π¬
π±πͺ Incredible progress! Your ladies are thriving and it really shows ππ₯ Keep crushing it! I also share grow content on YouTube would appreciate the love and support ππΊβ¨
@SaintVITHUS, Yours is also very pretty! When I got mine the seeds for #16 where unfortunately out of stock. How would you describe the aroma of your pheno ? π½
Looking great as always mate, she can be really fast in flowering to show her true colours indeed, especially the #8 is usually a bit faster than the #16, nice to see her stretch now at 12/12, some beautiful purple flowers are going to appear soon!
