EpixXx 3. Flowering week, the good one was really eager to become a jungle again. So today there was a little haircut so that the lower shoots can get some light and the air can circulate better.

EpixXx 4th week in flowering. Today I removed a few leaves that were hanging over the shoots. Otherwise, the plant still looks top fit and the buds are starting to get thick. The trichomes on the sugar leaves are also becoming denser. I'm very satisfied so far. A really great and easy-to-care-for strain that @RoyalQueenSeeds has created. 😎

EpixXx 8. Flowering week. I've been struggling a lot with a pH drop in my soil down to 4.9 over the last few days, which caused the plant to stop taking up water and nutrients. Watering with Bio Enhancer from Green House Feeding and osmosis water has at least stabilized the plant enough to make the trichomes a bit more amber. I think it can be harvested in a few days. Thanks to the Bio Enhancer, I was able to halt the leaf die-off. It's drinking again and taking up nutrients as well. Time for the final stretch! 😁

Happy Harvest Day!

Summary: After 90 days (17.12.2025 – 17.03.2026), my very first grow is complete. The plant remained extremely compact with a final height of 55 cm, mainly due to the almost completely absent stretch at the beginning of flowering. The result is very dense, frosty buds with an intense aroma of lemon and earth. Challenges & Problems: Height & Structure: The plant had extremely short internodal distances. Due to the lack of stretch, it grew very bushy and squat. This made massive and regular defoliation necessary to ensure air circulation inside the plant and to allow light to reach the lower flower sites. pH Stress: In the late flowering phase, the pH level of the soil dropped to 4.9. This led to nutrient lockouts and necrotic leaves. However, by quickly counteracting with pH-adjusted water and bio-enhancers, I was able to secure the harvest successfully. Difficulty & Handling: Difficulty: Medium. Handling: Due to the compact structure and the many leaves in a tight space, the plant was labor-intensive. If you're looking for a discreet grow with little vertical space, this is the right choice, but you must be ready to put in a lot of work into leaf management. The SCROG net was essential for optimally distributing the short shoots. Final Verdict: A steep learning curve for the first grow! The combination of compact growth and pH problems challenged me, but the result makes up for everything. The weed is now drying at a stable 19.5°C and 53% RH. A complete success for the first time! I’m excited to see how it will taste and what the effects will be!

EpixXx Weekly Comment: The Finish Line is Reached! After 14 weeks full of ups and downs, it was finally time for the chop this week. The lady gave it her all until the very end. Condition before the cut: The buds were extremely compact and heavy, covered in a thick layer of sticky trichomes. The aroma at harvest time was an explosive mix of sour lemon and a deep, earthy note. The Harvest: Breaking down the plant showed how effective the SCROG net worked despite the low height. I opted for a "Wet Trim" of the largest leaves and hung the plant in individual branches to ensure even drying. Current Drying: The harvest is now hanging in perfect conditions in the tent (about 19.5°C and 53% RH). The exhaust is set to minimum to preserve the terpenes, while a small fan provides gentle, indirect air circulation. Conclusion of the Week: It's an incredibly satisfying feeling to see the finished product hanging in the tent after three months of daily care. Now patience is required for the quality to mature to perfection during drying. The first run was an intense experience – thanks to everyone who followed the grow. In about a week, there will be another update on the trimmed and dried buds and a final weight.
