Papaya Cookies Auto Living Soil. Week 0 - Living Soil

MrMaabra Den Samen habe ich von 24FastBuds und ist seit der Legalisierung in Deutschland die 5. Sorte die ich von 24FastBuds anbaue.Start am Freitag, 12.12.2025 mit Floating im Wasserglas, bis der Samen aufpoppt. Danach in einen ungedüngten Kokostabs gesteckt und mit dem Tab direkt ab in den Living-Soul-Stofftopf. Insgesamt waren es vier Tage, bis das Pflänzchen die Erde durchstoßen hatte. Ich nutze nur Leitungswasser ohne PH-Anpassung und ohne irgendwelchen Zusätzen, auch kein CalMag. Ich wende LST und Topping an, weil ich wenig Platz habe und mein 60x60x140cm hohes Zelt auf meiner Waschmaschine im Badezimmer steht. Leider hatte ich es versäumt, von der Keimphase Fotos zu machen. —————————— The seed is from 24FastBuds and it’s the 5th strain I’ve grown from them since legalization in Germany. I started on Friday, December 12th, 2025, by floating the seed in a glass of water until it popped. Then, I placed it into an unfertilized coco coir tab and put the tab directly into the living soil fabric pot. It took a total of four days for the seedling to break the surface. I’m using only tap water without any pH adjustment or additives—no CalMag either. I use LST and topping because space is limited; my 60x60x140cm tent is sitting right on top of my washing machine in the bathroom. Unfortunately, I missed taking photos during the germination phase.

MrMaabra Um die 75% Luftfeuchtigkeit zu erreichen, stelle ich einen abgeschnittenen PET-Flaschenboden in den ersten beiden Wochen über das Pflänzchen. Damit das Living Soil nicht so schnell austrocknet, nutze ich spezielle Stoffabdeckungen für den Topf. —————————— To reach about 75% humidity, I place a cut-off PET bottle bottom over the seedling for the first two weeks. To prevent the living soil from drying out too quickly, I’m using special fabric covers for the pot.

MrMaabra Habe mich in der 2. Woche von der Stoffabdeckung getrennt. Das Handling beim Gießen ist mir zu umständlich, daher Stroh besorgt, zerkleinert und 3cm Schicht aufgetragen. Passt perfekt beim Gießen. Ansonsten weiterhin nur Leitungswasser ohne PH-Anpassung. ————————— During the second week, I decided to ditch the fabric cover. Watering was just too cumbersome with it, so I got some straw, chopped it up, and applied a 3cm layer. It works perfectly for watering. Other than that, I’m still using only tap water without any pH adjustment.

MrMaabra Die Woche über weiterhin immer wieder LST nach Bedarf, damit die Grundstruktur sich entwickeln kann. Die Lady entwickelt sich prächtig weiter. Aufgrund des Living Soils habe ich ein paar Trauermücken, die mit Gelbtafeln an den Zeltwänden bekämpft werden. —————————— Throughout the week, I continued with LST as needed to help the basic structure develop. The lady is coming along beautifully. Due to the living soil, I have a few fungus gnats, which I'm tackling with yellow sticky traps on the tent walls. Still developing splendidly!

MrMaabra Zum LST habe ich noch Clips benutzt, um die Haupttriebe weiter in die Breite zu zwingen. Leider war ich nicht vorsichtig genug und habe einen Haupttrieb abgebrochen - das ärgert mich. Aber hey, es gibt immer ein erstes Mal und jetzt hat es mich zum ersten Mal erwischt. Da waren es nur noch 5 Haupttriebe. Ansonsten entwickelt sich die kleine Dame prächtig weiter. Steht schön im Saft und Grün. Bisher liefert Living Soil gute Arbeit. So darf es weitergehen. —————————— I used LST clips to force the main branches to spread out even further. Unfortunately, I wasn't careful enough and snapped a main cola – I'm really annoyed about it. But hey, there's a first time for everything, and now it finally happened to me. So, down to 5 main branches. Other than that, the little lady is developing beautifully. She looks lush and vibrant; so far, the living soil is doing a great job. I hope it stays this way!

MrMaabra Die Lady steht voll in der Blüte und der Geruch wird immer intensiver - süßlich, fruchtig. Es sind allerdings schon erste Mangelerscheinungen an den Blättern sichtbar. Egal, denn ich greife nicht ein und möchte sehen, ob die Living Soil bis zum Ende genügend Nährstoffe liefert. —————————— The lady is in full bloom, and the scent is getting more and more intense – sweet and fruity. However, the first signs of nutrient deficiencies are starting to show on the leaves. No matter, though – I’m not going to intervene, as I want to see if the living soil can provide enough nutrients until the very end.

MrMaabra Blüten entwickeln sich weiterhin sehr gut. Stretch ist beendet und Pflanze ist jetzt 38cm hoch. Lampe steht auf 70% Leistung. Am Ende der Woche SANlight auf 80% Leistung für die letzten beiden Wochen gestellt. Blüten werden immer dicker und dicker. Geruch wird auch intensiver. Trichome entwickeln sich wunderbar und sind mit dem bloßen Auge erkennbar. Keine Düngestress aufgrund Living Soil. Entspannter Grow. —————————— The buds continue to develop very well. The stretch is over, and the plant is now 38cm tall. The light is currently at 70% power. At the end of the week, I set the SANlight to 80% power for the final two weeks. The buds are getting thicker and thicker, and the scent is also becoming more intense. The trichomes are developing beautifully and are even visible to the naked eye. There’s zero nutrient stress thanks to the living soil. Such a relaxed grow.

MrMaabra Die Buds entwickeln sich auch in der dritten Blütewoche prächtig weiter - insgesamt ist die Lady in der 8. Gesamtwoche. Der Geruch ist mittlerweile stark fruchtig und süß. Und ich wiederhole mich: Noch nie wie ein Grow entspannter, man kann sagen fast schon langweilig. Ich finde jetzt schon, dass mein erstes Living-Soil-Projekt ein voller Erfolg ist. —————————— The buds continue to develop beautifully in the third week of flowering – the lady is now in her 8th week overall. The scent has become very sweet and fruity. And I’m repeating myself here: I’ve never had a grow this relaxed; you could almost call it boring. Even now, I feel like my first living soil project is a complete success.

MrMaabra So, es wird herbstlich in dieser Woche und damit der Hinweis, dass wir in der finalen Phase sind. Auch die Pistillen verfärben sich ins Orange-Braun. Habe heute den gesamten Grow rückwirkend hochgeladen. SANlight Evo 1.5 auf 100% Leistung (190 Watt) für die letzten beiden Wochen gestellt. Trichome zum ersten Mal gecheckt: sind noch 50/50 milchig und durchsichtig. Geruch mittlerweile sehr stark süßlich und fruchtig. Wer Papaya schonmal gegessen und gerochen hat, wird den Geruch wiedererkennen. Die Blüten werden fester und schwerer. Es gibt nahezu täglich trockene Blätter, die ich abmache. Es ist klar zu sehen, dass sich die Pflanze die Nährstoffe aus den Blättern holt. Dem Living Soil geht wohl am Ende die Power aus? Wir werden sehen … —————————— Well, things are starting to look quite autumnal this week—a clear sign that we’ve entered the final stage. The pistils are also turning an orange-brown color. I’ve just finished uploading the entire grow history retroactively today. I’ve set my SANlight Evo 1.5 to 100% power (190 watts) for these last two weeks. I also did my first trichome check: they are currently about 50/50 milky and clear. The scent has become very intense—sweet and fruity. Anyone who has ever eaten or smelled a papaya would recognize the aroma immediately. The buds are getting firmer and heavier. I’m removing dry leaves almost every day now. It’s obvious that the plant is pulling nutrients from the fan leaves—it looks like the living soil might be running out of steam at the very end. We’ll see...

MrMaabra Die 11. Woche startet und was soll ich sagen? Ich hatte bisher noch keine Buds diesen Ausmaßes von einer Autoflower. Die Buds werden dicker und sind sehr sticky. Jetzt kann das am Living Soil liegen, welches ich erstmalig nutze oder an der Topfgröße, denn auch 30 Liter Topfvolumen nutze ich auch erstmals. Oder natürlich die Kombination aus beidem. Einen groben Vergleich kann ich in ein paar Wochen ziehen, da mein zweiter Grow auch mit Living Soil läuft, allerdings in einem kleineren Topf mit nur 15 Liter Volumen. Dann kann ich das besser einschätzen - aber, ich finde diesen Grow aktuell großartig und bin rundherum zufrieden. Zu den Buds … Die Trichome werden in der Masse milchig, allerdings sind noch keine bernsteinfarbenen dabei. Ich schätze in ca. zwei Wochen sind sie erntereif. Ansonsten habe ich mir eine Analyse meines Leitungswassers besorgt und daraus geht hervor, dass der PH-Wert bei 7,4-7,6 liegt, was ich nun auch reporte. Tag 77 - Ende der 11. Woche. Die Lady steht bestens da. Der Trichom-Check zeigt, dass wir demnächst an meinem persönlichen Sweet-Spot sind und geerntet werden kann. Ich bevorzuge 10-15% bernsteinfarbene Trichome, der Rest milchig und noch ein paar klare Trichome. Ich denke, ich ernte in den nächsten drei Tagen. —————————— Week 11 is starting and what can I say? I’ve never had autoflower buds of this magnitude before. They are getting thicker and very sticky. This could be due to the living soil I’m using for the first time, or the pot size, as I’m also using 30-liter pots for the first time. Or, of course, the combination of both. I’ll be able to make a rough comparison in a few weeks since my second grow is also running with living soil, but in a smaller 15-liter pot. Then I’ll have a better idea—but for now, I think this grow is amazing and I’m completely satisfied. About the buds… the majority of the trichomes are turning milky, but there are no amber ones yet. I estimate they’ll be ready for harvest in about two weeks. Other than that, I got an analysis of my tap water, which shows a pH level of 7.4–7.6, which I’m reporting now. Day 77 - End of week 11. The lady is looking great. The trichome check shows that we’re approaching my personal sweet spot for harvesting. I prefer 10–15% amber trichomes, with the rest milky and a few clear ones remaining. I think I’ll harvest within the next three days.

Trocken-Update: Nach 5 Tagen in den Dryferm-Bags habe ich aus ca. 60g frisches Flower-Rosin mit meiner Graveda-Presse gemacht - schön karamellig. Rund 160g kamen jetzt in Schwarzgläser mit jeweils einem Boveda-Pack 62% und einem digitalen Hygrometer zur perfekten Kontrolle. Klassisch werden die Gläser täglich gelüftet, bis sich die Luftfeuchtigkeit bei 62% eingependelt hat. Damit ist dieser Grow offiziell erfolgreich beendet. __________ Drying Update: After 5 days in the Dryferm bags, I pressed about 60g of fresh flower into rosin with my Graveda press – nice and caramelly. Around 160g are now in black jars, each with a 62% Boveda pack and a digital hygrometer for perfect control. I’ll be burping the jars daily, the classic way, until the humidity stabilizes at 62%. With that, this grow is officially and successfully finished. __________ Dieser Strain war in Verbindung mit meinem Set-Up (Living Soil) und den angewandten Techniken Toppen und LST eine ware Freude, ja fast schon langweilig. Die Papaya Cookies Auto hat das Topping und das LST sehr gut verkraftet. Am Ende hat sie ca. 10 Tage länger gebraucht als angegeben - es waren genau 12 Wochen vom Sämling zur Ernte. Aber sie verströmt ein sehr starkes Aroma und der Aktivkohlefilter läuft auf Hochtouren. Wer im Geheimen Growen möchte, wird sich hier schwer tun, wenn es empfindliche Nachbarn gibt. Und jetzt in der Trocknungsphase ist es noch intensiver. Sie riecht sensationell, hat eine hervorragende Trichom-Produktion und hat am Ende richtig fette Buds produziert. Beim Wet-Trim waren meine Handschuhe schnell klebrig und ich musste insgesamt vier Paar Handschuhe verwenden. Der Ertrag kann sich sehen lassen. Obwohl ich während dem LST einen Trieb (von sechs) verloren hatte (er ist mir abgebrochen), konnte ich mit einer Pflanze auf 60x60x140cm Zeltfläche (0,36 qm) 702g Nassgewicht nach Wet-Trim erzielen. Mit allen sechs Trieben wären das gut 840g geworden. Kein Problem mit Schimmel und Co., allerdings lag ich in der entscheidenden Phase immer unter 63% Luftfeuchtigkeit, daher hatte ich mir hierzu zu keiner Zeit Sorgen gemacht. Fazit: Wieder habe ich eine tolle Erfahrung mit den Samen von 24 Fast Buds gemacht - nicht umsonst mein Lieblings-Breeder. Sobald die Blüten trocken sind, werde ich dieses Mal auch den THC-Wert bestimmen lassen. __________ This strain was a true joy—almost boringly easy—in combination with my setup (Living Soil) and the topping and LST techniques I used. The Papaya Cookies Auto handled the topping and LST very well. In the end, she took about 10 days longer than specified, totaling exactly 12 weeks from seedling to harvest. She gives off a very strong aroma, and my carbon filter is working overtime. If you’re trying to keep your grow a secret and have sensitive neighbors, you’ll have a hard time here. It’s even more intense now during the drying phase. She smells sensational, has excellent trichome production, and produced really fat buds in the end. During the wet trim, my gloves got sticky fast; I ended up going through four pairs. The yield is impressive. Even though I lost one branch (out of six) during LST because it snapped, I managed to get 702g of wet weight (after wet trimming) from a single plant in a 60x60x140cm tent (0.36 sqm). With all six branches, it would have easily been around 840g. No issues with mold or anything else, but I always kept the humidity below 63% during the critical phase, so I was never worried. Conclusion: Once again, a great experience with seeds from 24 Fast Buds—they aren't my favorite breeder for nothing. MrMaabra Gestern war es soweit, am Ende der 12. Woche zeigten die Trichome genau das Verhältnis, das ich schätze: 10% bernsteinfarben, und die Masse milchig und noch ein paar klare. Zeit für die Ernte! Ich bin sehr happy über das Ergebnis meines ersten Living-Soil-Grows. Großartige Buds - davon 5 Hauptbuds (hätten 6 sein können, allerdings hatte ich in den frühen Wochen beim LST einen Trieb abgebrochen und konnte ihn nicht mehr retten), eine Menge sehr guter A-, B- und C-Buds. Die C-Buds verwende ich in 5 Tagen für Flower-Rosin und der Rest wird in Dryferm-Bags getrocknet und danach im Vaper konsumiert. Sobald ich das Trockengewicht habe, gibt es hier ein Update und jetzt erfreut Euch an den Bildern meiner Ernte. Lieben Dank an alle, die meinen Grow verfolgt, geliked und kommentiert haben. Keep on growing! __________ The time had finally come yesterday. At the end of week 12, the trichomes showed exactly the ratio I prefer: 10% amber, mostly milky, and a few clear ones. Harvest time! I am very happy with the results of my first living soil grow. Great buds—five main colas (it could have been six, but I snapped a branch during LST in the early weeks and couldn't save it), along with plenty of high-quality A, B, and C buds. I’ll use the C buds in five days for flower rosin, and the rest will be dried in Dryferm bags before being enjoyed in the vape. As soon as I have the dry weight, I’ll post an update here.
