Splint Got this seed as a gift, it’s my third grow ever. Let’s give it a try. I’ll add all the info and pics up until week 5/6 around the same time because I have started this diary later on.

Splint First week, growing low to the ground and quite slowly. I may have given too little water in the first night and the lights may have been too close.

Splint Due to some absence, I’ve added some watering-applications. The plant itself has been growing quite well, no issues so far.

Splint She’s been growing quite well, not gaining a lot of length but becoming quite bushy (makes sense to me since it’s 70/30 indica). That’s good for me because my tent is only 140cm high, I am on a budget.. I’ve started measuring the plant now and added that data. Also, the leafs gained some yellow spots, I included one picture. Parasites are still unlikely, if anyone knows what’s the issue, I’d be glad to get advice.

Splint I removed some broken leafs and some more because I noticed signs of pre-flower, so I thought if I want to do some de-leafing, I should do it now. I’ve had troubles getting the humidity low enough for the leafs not to have water buildup between them

Splint Everything is looking great so far, at least it looks like it to me. I have removed a few more leaves to prevent water-buildup between them and mold growing. I’m trying not to stress her but also don’t want to risk losing everything. The plant currently smells of diesel and cream with a hint of lemon. She is slowly reaching the limits of the tent in width and has also gained ~10cm in length this week. In the evening, she’s letting her leaves hang, in the morning they’re facing upwards. It’s somewhat visible in the included pictures, I think. I really like watching this process, it amazes me as I didn’t notice this with my last grow. Does anyone have feedback on removing more leaves? Should I be more careful so I won’t stress her or can I continue removing leaves to reduce chances of mold growing?

Splint Back with another update! Trichomes have been forming on/around the buds this week and the smell has been growing in intensity. I’m really happy with this so far. According to the given advice, I removed most of the leaves in the first 30% and only the most necessary ones that were resting directly on buds and shadowing them, additionally. Since then, the plant has taken on a darker greenish tone, that’s almost shimmering blue. :) The stretch seems to be over as she only gained 4cm in length this week but that’s quite alright since I can’t pull the grow-light further up anymore anyways. Even though I know that too much change in lighting can be stressful for her, I’ve changed the plan a bit to better fit my own schedule and to reduce the humidity. Let’s see how she likes it.

Splint Everything seems to be going great so far! I’m extremely happy with this grow, lots of new trichomes have shown up this week and the smell is still strong. She’s adapted to the change in lighting really well. I’m still removing some excess leaves from time to time to avoid mold growing. Otherwise no problems this week!

Splint I have noticed yellowing of some leaves and rusty spots on those, but the other leaves are still as green as they ever were, which makes me think it’s not just some change in color due to the flowering but some kind of deficiency (or excess). My best guess right now is Cal-Mag, so I started supporting with some. I added pictures of the damaged leaves, would be grateful for confirmation and/or discussion. By the way, even though the spots look a bit plastic on the pictures, I’ve looked at them under a microscope and they are not eggs, they’re just spots on the leaves themselves. Apart from that, everything is going great. The buds are getting more coated in trichomes and the smell is getting more pungent by each day. Under the microscope, the trichomes are milky and a few have turned amber already. I can barely wait for harvest-time :D

Are the rust-colored spots on the yellow-stained leaves caused by a Cal-Mag-deficiency?

It does look like a Cal-Mag issue at first glance, especially with those rust spots and the yellowing between the veins. But in week 9, this can also be part of the natural fade as the plant is finishing. I’d say it’s likely a mix: a slight Cal-Mag deficiency, combined with normal late flower senescence. At this stage, the plant is pulling nutrients from the leaves into the buds, so some yellowing and spotting is expected. If your pH has been stable and you’ve been feeding properly, I wouldn’t overcorrect now. Maybe just a light Cal-Mag support if anything, but don’t push too hard this late. Also, you might want to raise your light a bit. Sometimes reducing light intensity slightly can help take stress off the plant, especially in late flower. Overall your buds look good. I wish you some nice Couch events. 😊

Splint This week’s update is coming early, as I’m leaving for 1.5 weeks. Next week’s update will come on Saturday again, as per usual. The nutrients seem to be off in some way, it’s clearly visible on the pictures now. I tried lowering the PH, as I noticed that my tab-water might have one nearing 8, I’m not sure though. As I’m leaving today, I won’t really be able to try anything else and/or monitor whether there’s any improvement, so I can really just hope for the best .-.

Splint As you can see she survived but clearly didn’t like my absence and the lack of watering. Unfortunately, I couldn’t really avoid this situation. I’ve started watering her again and hope that trichomes will still turn amber soon. I can’t really close the grow-question either yet, sorry.

Splint I’m back with another update! I have removed most of the dried up leafs and continued watering her carefully. I noticed that basically all her pistils have turned brown, the trichomes are still milky though I’m considering harvesting her soon because I think that the trichomes might never turn amber due to the lack of water that she experienced last week. Also, according to strain reports, she should take 10-12 weeks. What do you guys think? Should I harvest now or wait another 1-2 weeks?

Happy Harvest Day!

Quite forgiving and strong smell. || Interesting smoke, I like it a lot! Different stages of harvest show widely different taste-profiles. I originally chose to grow this seed because it had the highest chance for a diesel-/gas-taste, which I have only found in buds harvested later on, so if you‘re looking for a diesel-taste, harvest when the trichomes are more on the amber side.. Strongest aroma rn is definitely lemon and herby/earthy, there are also vague hints of fruit, cream and diesel in every bud. || Dosage decides whether it’s giving me motivation and making me talkative or whether I’m just couch-locked while feasting on everything in reach. Definitely get yourself some snacks before this smoke! I wouldn’t recommend this while on a diet lol. Low dosage is great for emotional regulation and helps me with my depression though. || Weights are final results! Everything is harvested and jarred.

Splint So far (Monday, 30/03/26)I’ve harvested the thickest buds except for the main one, I’ll give that one a bit more time. I’m trying different methods to see which one fits me best. I’ll continue to harvest in several stages. Wet weight is more of a guessing but I will continue to update this and I’ll add the dry weight when everything’s harvested and jarred. Edit 1 (Monday, 06/04/26): I’ve harvested a bit more and taken the main bud to dry. Everything is looking great. I have trimmed and jarred most of the first harvesting-stage and I’m glad to report that there’s no budrot (my biggest fear for this grow because it cost me half of my last grows harvest)! I have also added some newer pictures.
