The_Kitchen_Raccoon Hi guys, and welcome to my very first grow on GrowDiaries ! ☺️ A little about me : I’ve been growing organically for the past 20 years, both indoors and outdoors. I’ve mostly worked with clones and, over the years, I’ve built up a pretty solid collection of mother plants. I’m a big fan of Barney’s Farm genetics and currently run several of their strains as moms. For this diary, though, I’m switching things up. I’ve picked strains from Barney’s that i have not grown before. Who knows… maybe I’ll uncover a new keeper or two along the way πŸ‘€πŸŒΏ I’ve just invested in a brand-new setup dedicated to seed runs, and I’m excited to share the whole journey with you all here. The seeds are now in their pots, so grab a seat, roll a fat one, and let the party begin! πŸ”₯πŸ’¨πŸŒ±

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Start of Week 2 and the ladies are looking strong and healthy πŸ’ͺ🌱 Light intensity has been increased from 20% to 30%, and they’re responding beautifully. Unfortunately, the Jealousy didn’t make it this round, but that’s part of the journey. Nothing major to report otherwise β€” steady growth and good vibes all around. Added a photo of today’s smoke 😁 Some proper old-school Purple Haze from one of my mother plants, originally grown from 90’s seeds that were gifted to me from my dad before his passing πŸ˜‡ That makes this one extra special. I absolutely love these old genetics β€” the lavender and deep violet aroma, with that smooth, nostalgic haze flavor… just πŸ”₯ Timeless for a reason.

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Hi guys ! 🌱 We’re kicking off week 3 and the girls are looking healthy, happy, and full of life. The light is still running at 30%, and I’ve started increasing the nutrients slightly, they’re responding really well so far. I’ve also picked up everything I need for this year’s outdoor grow, so things are moving in the right direction. Hope you all had a great weekend! Looking forward to seeing how everyone’s gardens are coming along 🌿

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Hi growmies, and welcome to the start of Week 4! 🌱 The girls are settling into their new 15L homes and gearing up for their final couple of weeks in veg. The light is currently running at 50%, and this week they’re only being fed Root Juice to help strengthen those roots. The Papaya Frostings are absolutely thriving and looking better every day. I spent the weekend tending to my clones, the living soil grow and getting the garden prepped for this year’s outdoor run, exciting times ahead! Hope you all had an awesome weekend. See you next week! 🌿 Mid week update : Defoliation.

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Hi everyone! Welcome to the start of Week 5 🌱 Last week the girls were defoliated and fed only root juice. The light is currently running at 60%, and they’re responding really well so far. Cherry Pie seems to be a bit of a slow grower, but that’s perfectly fine. This week they’ll be back on nutrients, and the plan is to top them next Sunday. After that, I’ll give them another week or two before flipping the switch. Hope you all had a great weekend! ✌️

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to Week 6, the final week before we flip the switch! 🌱 The girls were topped a few days ago and are already starting to bush out nicely. They’re back on nutrients, the light is now running at 70%, and everything is moving in the right direction. They’re responding really well so far and looking happy, healthy, and full of life. Excited to see how they develop over the next few days before the big flip. Hope you all had a great weekend! 🌿

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to " week 1 " of the flowering stage! The transition has begun, and the process is now underway. The plants are looking healthy and vigorous overall. A couple of the Papaya Frosting phenotypes are showing very early signs of nutrient burn, despite a moderate feeding schedule and the use of plain water between feedings. The symptoms are minor at this stage, but as a precaution, they will be on water only for this week before gradually reintroducing nutrients next week. Lighting intensity is currently set at 80%, and daytime temperatures have been slightly increased from 22°C to 24°C. Hope you all had a great week-end ! 😊

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Nothing beats a refreshing glass of soursop juice to combat a dry mouth 😊 Hello everyone, and welcome to Week 2 of flowering. The plants are now back on nutrients, and the light intensity remains at 80%. Daytime temperatures are steady at 22°C, with nighttime temperatures around 18°C. Humidity in the grow room is holding at 60%. Overall, the plants are looking vibrant, green, and healthy. The stretch phase is now becoming more noticeable across the canopy. There are no significant signs of flowering just yet, with the exception of the Cherry Pie, which had already begun showing early signs prior to the flip. As a fast strain, this is completely normal. I hope you all had a great weekend! Happy growing 🌱 See you next week.

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to week 3 of flowering 🌱 Over the past week, the plants have shown strong vertical growth, and the canopy is now developing into a dense, uniform structure. The Cherry Pie and Super Boof cultivars have exhibited less stretch compared to the others, so they have been elevated accordingly to maintain an even canopy. Lighting intensity is currently set at 100% and will be gradually reduced to 70–80% toward the final weeks of flowering, alongside a slight decrease in room temperature. Watering volumes have now been carefully adjusted for each plant, and all are responding well, showing healthy and stable development. I will also be adding another grow tent dedicated to the vegetative stage to support these upcoming seed runs. Wishing everyone a great start to the week, and see you for the next update 😊

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to Week 4 of flowering 🌱 Unfortunately, we’re starting the week with a bit of bad news. One of the Papaya Frosting plants showed strong signs of hermaphroditism, with a significant number of male flowers developing throughout the plant. This is not something I’ve typically encountered with Barneys genetics @Barneys so it’s a bit disappointing but that’s the nature of cultivation sometimes. Thankfully, no open pollen sacs were found, so it appears the issue was caught in time. The plant has since been removed and destroyed as a precaution. Its noticeably taller growth compared to the others was the initial sign that prompted closer inspection. On a more positive note, the rest of the plants are thriving. Resin production is progressing nicely across the Papaya Frosting, and especially on the Cherry Poppers, which is already developing a subtle cherry aroma. I’m particularly excited to see how this one finishes. Nutrient levels have been slightly increased, and all plants are responding very well so far. Hope your gardens are doing great too, see you next week for another update! 🌿

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to Week 5 of flowering. This week has been remarkable. Two phenotypes from the Papaya Frosting cultivar are expressing exceptionally intense terpene profiles, dominated by overripe mango and papaya notes. The aroma is so pronounced that it barely resembles traditional cannabis, leaning instead toward pure overripe tropical fruit. Over the past 20 years, I’ve smelled some truly crazy terpene profiles, but these Papaya Frosting plants are something special. Even a colleague visiting from Spain, who works in the industry, was genuinely impressed by the uniqueness and strength of these expressions. I’m especially pleased to have taken clones from both plants, as they clearly show keeper potential. The Cherry Poppers cultivar is also developing nicely, offering a more subtle profile with delicate cherry notes reminiscent of a Leffe Ruby-style beer. Overall, terpene development is accelerating, and resin production is becoming increasingly impressive. Environmental adjustments this week included slightly lowering the LED and reducing humidity to 50%, which the plants are responding to very well. They remain healthy, vigorous, and on track. Looking forward to seeing how things evolve from here. Happy growing, and see you next week for the update.

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to Day 27 of the flowering stage. Upon opening the grow tent this week, I was immediately met with a strong aroma of ripe fruit. Several cultivars are expressing particularly intense terpene profiles, especially Papaya Frosting and Cherry Poppers. The Cherry Pie, in contrast, is producing a notably pungent scent, sharp and almost chemical in character. Lighting remains at full intensity, and watering frequency has been slightly increased to support ongoing development. The plants have now completed their stretch phase, and trichome production is accelerating significantly. This is most evident in the Papaya Frosting, Cherry Poppers, and Lemon Cherry Gelato cultivars, which are showing especially heavy resin development. Overall, the plants appear healthy and vigorous, with no signs of stress or nutrient deficiencies. Early signs of senescence are beginning to emerge, which is expected at this stage of flowering. This natural process involves the gradual aging of the plant, during which energy is redirected toward flower maturation, often accompanied by subtle fading of foliage as nutrients are mobilized. Hope you all had a great weekend, See you next week for an update 😎

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Hello and welcome to Day 33 of flower 🌸 Things are definitely getting more aromatic and a bit sticky this week 😁 The girls are thriving overall! One Papaya Frosting is showing slight nutrient burn, but nothing serious. She’ll get a couple of extra water-only runs this week, my fault entirely… Note to self: no strong hash before feeding πŸ˜… I’ll be slightly increasing nutrients across the board and lowering the lamp height just a touch. Daytime temps are holding steady at 26Β°C, with relative humidity around 50%. We’ve definitely got a few keepers in this run πŸ‘€ Some of the Papaya Frostings are pushing out super ripe mango and papaya terps. The Cherry Poppers are giving off a uniquely strong yet light cherry aroma, while the Lemon Cherry Gelato has a subtle citrus note. Super Boof is just intensely pungent so far, still hard to pinpoint the exact terp profile. Cherry Pie smells deep and sharp, almost like a rich, unsweetened cherry, hard to describe but very distinctive. Interestingly, the White Runtz hasn’t developed any noticeable aroma yet. Hope you all had a great weekend! 😊 Happy gardening πŸ˜ŽπŸ’š

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to Day 40 of Flower 🌱 With approximately 20–25 days remaining until harvest, the garden is entering the final stages of bloom exactly as planned. Overall plant health remains excellent, the canopy is thriving, flower development is accelerating, and the buds are beginning to noticeably swell as they stack biomass and resin production. Feed strength has also been increased slightly to support late-flower development, helping drive continued bulking, resin production, and overall flower density through the final weeks. The terpene profiles are continuing to evolve across several cultivars, with some very interesting phenotypic expressions emerging: Papaya Frosting #1 is expressing a unique profile dominated by unripe banana with subtle grape undertones. Papaya Frosting #2 leans more toward tropical mango and papaya, complemented by a pronounced gassy backend. Papaya Frosting #3 stands out for its exceptional trichome production, pushing intense ripe mango and papaya terpenes with heavy resin coverage. White Runtz is developing delicate notes of peach and vanilla, subtle but refined. Cherry Poppers carries a loud aroma of tart, underripe cherries layered with a creamy finish. Lemon Cherry Gelato is producing a sharp blend of citrus lemon terps and fuel-heavy gas. Cherry Pie delivers an aggressive, sharp cherry profile with a deep, almost chemical β€œpoison cherry” nose that cuts through the room immediately. Super boof delivers a light citrus and oily aroma, quite pungent. Environmental conditions remain stable and dialed in: Lighting: 100% intensity Relative Humidity: 50% The tent aroma is becoming richer by the day as the cultivars continue their late-flower terpene maturation and resin development. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Happy growing πŸ’š

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to Day 47 of flower of this indoor organic grow 🌱 After a week away on holiday in Italy, it feels great to be back with the girls. Big thanks to my brother for taking care of them while i was gone ! As every grower knows, taking holidays isn’t always easy haha. A lot has changed in just one week. The plants are really starting to mature now, packing on biomass and resin every day. Terpene profiles remain consistent with last week, but overall development has accelerated nicely. After checking the trichomes under the microscope, most cultivars are currently sitting around 70% milky and 30% clear with the Super Boof ( photo 3 ) slightly behind the others. Since THC levels peak at the milky stage, and considering these are mostly hybrid cultivars that I’m still getting to know, I’ll likely harvest around 80–90% milky trichomes with 10–20% amber. Some of the more indica-dominant cultivars may be pushed a little longer. I have started to flush pheno #3 of Papaya frosting. Next week I’ll begin reducing light intensity down to 80% and start flushing a few more of the cultivars. Photo 1 : Papaya frosting #3 Photo 4 : Lemon cherry gelato Photos 5&6 : White runtz and her typical grape type flowers. Hope you all had a great weekend! See you next week 🌿 Happy gardening πŸ’š

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to Day 54 of flower for this indoor organic run 🌱 The finish line is getting close 😎 Everything is progressing right on schedule this week. Most of the girls are in their final bulking phase, with biomass and resin production looking excellent. Senescence is also lining up perfectly with the expected harvest window. Papaya Frosting #2 and #3 are mid flush and are scheduled for harvest next Saturday or Sunday, around Day 60. The remaining plants will stay on nutrients for another week before beginning their flush, with harvest expected around Days 65–70. Lighting intensity has been reduced to 80%, while relative humidity remains stable at 50%. Terpene profiles are mostly unchanged from last week, but a few phenos are really standing out: Papaya Frosting #2 is producing incredibly intense ripe mango and papaya aromas, easily the loudest terp profile in the room right now. Papaya Frosting #3 carries a lighter mango profile but is developing exceptionally dense, resin-covered flowers. Papaya Frosting #1 is pushing strong banana terps, most likely expressing some of her genetic heritage. No major terpene changes from the other girls this week. The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to day 61 of Flower 😎 Papaya Frosting #2 and #3 were harvested yesterday on Day 60, coming down at approximately 80% milky and 20% amber trichomes. Both plants are now hanging in the dry room, where conditions are holding steady at 18Β°C and 60% RH. The terpene profile on #3 is exceptionally loud, with intense notes of ripe mango and papaya, backed by a layer of fuel and gas. #2 is also heavily mango-forward but has developed some intriguing spicy, peppery undertones over the last few days of ripening. I'll post harvest once everything is dry. After that, I'll be running Purple Pro THC tests before transferring the flowers into Terploc bags for curing. The remaining plants are progressing beautifully and should be ready around Day 65, with the exception of Super Boof, which looks like it will need closer to Day 70 to fully mature. Terpene Update πŸ‘ White Runtz – Producing beautiful peach and vanilla aromas that continue to intensify. 🍊 Super Boof – Strong pungent funk layered with sweet citrus notes. πŸ’ Cherry's Poppers – True to its name, delivering a delightful combination of sweet cherries and cream. πŸ’ Cherry Pie – Absolutely blasting out pungent cherry terps with earthy spice on the back end. The aroma is almost aggressively intense in the best possible way. 🍌 Papaya Frosting #1 – Straight banana candy. This expression was most likely inherited from her Banana Frosting lineage. πŸ‹ Lemon Cherry Gelato – Showing off a fantastic blend of sweet lemon candy and gassy fuel, creating a very balanced and complex profile. Overall, the garden is finishing strong, and the terpene expressions across the room have been impressive. Looking forward to seeing how everything translates after drying and curing. Hope everyone had a great weekend, and as always... Happy Gardening ! πŸ’š

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Final Update Before Harvest Posts 🌱😎 Welcome to the final week of this indoor organic seed run ! Cherry Poppers, White Runtz, Lemon Cherry Gelato, and Papaya Frosting #1 were harvested on Day 63 of flower. The photos were taken a few days prior to harvest. They are now drying in a controlled environment at a steady 18Β°C and 60% relative humidity. The Super Boof and Cherry Pie cultivars remain in the grow room and will likely be harvested in around another week. The terpene profiles coming from the recently harvested plants and from the two remaining cultivars are absolutely beautiful. The aromas filling both the drying room and grow space have been incredible. I'm very pleased with how this seed run has turned out, especially considering that I'm usually working with selected clones in my other gardens outside of Grow Diaries. It's been a rewarding experience seeing the different expressions and phenotypes develop throughout the cycle. I hope you're all having a great weekend ! I'll be back soon with harvest and drying updates. 😁 Happy gardening πŸ’š The Kitchen Raccoon.

An absolutely outstanding cultivar from Barney's Farm & Doja. Pheno #2 is bursting with intense ripe mango and papaya aromas, layered over a strong gassy backbone. The terpene profile is exceptionally loud, complex, and expressive. Effects come on quickly, last for hours, and strike an impressive balance between mental uplift and physical relaxation. The experience is happy, euphoric, smile-inducing, and giggly, while still providing a deeply relaxing body effect without becoming overly sedative. A noticeable boost in creativity rounds out the experience nicely. Final dry yield : 83 g Pheno #3 shares the same tropical mango and papaya foundation but leans more toward earthy pear notes. The flowers are incredibly dense, rock-hard to the touch, heavily resin-coated, and visually stunning. The effects are slightly more indica-leaning compared to Pheno #2, delivering a deeper sense of calm and physical relaxation while maintaining a pleasant overall balance. Final dry yield : 86 g I'll provide an update on Pheno #1 once drying is complete, along with a full comparison of all three phenotypes after a proper 6–8 week cure. In addition, I produced some beautiful 100-micron dry sift , which turned out exceptionally clean and flavorful. The quality is outstanding. I'll be running some material through a 73-micron screen soon.

The_Kitchen_Raccoon The Papaya Frosting from the Barney’s Farm Γ— Doja Exclusive collaboration proved to be an outstanding selection. The population expressed a remarkable level of quality throughout, with Pheno #2 emerging as the clear standout. I was fortunate enough to preserve several cuts, as this phenotype checks every box I look for in a keeper. Given its exceptional expression and overall potential, it is currently being considered for inclusion in a future breeding program.
