KurtHighgrade Welcome to my Growers Choice Contest 2026 diary about the widely beloved SUPER BOOF 💚
I'm very happy having made it to the Growers Choice Contest finally and that a friend supplied me with important (good) equipment (tent, ventilation system, 240w LED) so that this became possible.
I'm super excited not only because it's my first contest on GD but also because I'm a fan of GC and got a great trust in this company's genetics- as the peace symbol out of GC strains in the pics proofs😂☮️
I will of cause give my very best to be be the fiercest competitor for the other starters🙃🙂💚
I thought this contest would be a good opportunity to test out GC's germination kit and compare it to the 'H2O2 in glass for 24 hours method'.
And...Yes, the germination rate with the kit has been better (3/4) than putting the seeds for 24 hours in H2O2 and placing them into easy plugs (3/6).
Root development has been the same with both methods.
Seven days after germination four seedlings got transplanted into 26 l fabrics, the two smaller ones will get smaller containers and will be sent to flowering two or three weeks earlier in order to have some properly cured buds when the smoke report gets written ..
⚒️ Equipment Infos:
🌞- CALUMA force LED 240w (Seoul Semiconductor LEDs, with an efficiency of 2.7🚀)
🌬️- PRIMAKLIMA temperature controlled 280m3 Ventilator and Filter
🏟️- 0.8 x 0.8 X 1.6m GARDEN HIGHPRO Probox Master
- LIGHTHOUSE Eco heat greenhouse heater 80w
- VPD controlled AC INFINITY humidifier
🌊- Osmosis filter MEASURY RO PRO
- PAR meter BLOOMSTAR,
- EC and pH meter MILWAUKEE (CD611, pH600)
The plants are 17 hours under 200μmol with a Dli slightly above 12 right now and I try to keep a VPD of 0.4 - 0.7.
Temperatures are round 24°C.
Peace, good luck, fun and happy growing, friends of the good G🖖🏼🍀💚 🍀💚🍀☮️

KurtHighgrade Hi💚
although it seems like that the Growers Choice Contest is no longer existing😓 (already saw myself riding on an e-fatbike through my hometown 😂) I will still give my best to let the six Super Boof plants shine bright 🌞.
So far everything's fine with the babes and they seem to like their home.
Keeping the VPD between 0.4 -0.7 (like it should be through the whole vegging stage) while keeping the temperature steady near 24°C is not that easy even with an extra heater.
Most of the time it is round 0.8 -0.9 but it will lower when temperatures outside and humidity inside will rise in the upcoming weeks.
The light intensity is about 400-500μmol right now for 17 hours, 7 hours darkness. The EC is at 0.4, pH at 6.2.
Hoping that the contest will go on...
Happy growing to all competitors and everybody who's passing by💚🍀🌞☮️

KurtHighgrade Hi💚 All plants are doing well and are taking up speed. The VPD can be kept stable at 0.7/0.8 and temperature is optimal now (24°C).
They got fed twice already with organic NPK and one plant is showing slight signs of having a bit too much. I have to be careful with the EC cause of the powerful soil mixture I prepared for the contest.
Next thing will be topping before New Moon on Thursday✂️
Peace and happy growing 💚 🍀 🌞 ☮️

KurtHighgrade Hi💚, the plants develop nicely and show an indica growth pattern during their first weeks.
They stay short and tend towards bushiness.
I topped them before New Moon last week and they reacted very good.
Another plant had to move out of the tent, I still don't know wether to do three or four, let's see...
I hung up a CO2 Bag and some predator mite bags as well.
Two plants show signs of slight overfeeding, two could take an even larger dose🙃😅
All in all the Super Boof seems to be an easy manageable cultivar.

KurtHighgrade Hi💚 Everything's nice and the plants are getting bushier. Pics are already a few days old, today they are big enough to scrog them.
Happy weekend 💚 🍀 🌞

KurtHighgrade Hi Growmies 💚, back with some pics from the last day of veg a few days ago.
Three plants are remaining in the box, one of the formerly four goes on an outdoor mission.
I've done some scrogging and a few more toppings here and there about 10 days before flipping three days ago. There should be enough nice and big colas in a few weeks 🍀...
450-550μmol, EC 0.9, pH 6.2, CO2 650, VPD 0.8

KurtHighgrade Hi💚 Two plants doubled their height after two weeks of flowering, the other one has got a more indica leaning growth pattern with shorter internodes.
I raised the EC to 1.4, the VPD is kept low at 0.7, humidity is about 70% still.
The leaves are catching something between 700 and 1050 μmol.
Yesterday I defoliated and pruned them.
Have a nice weekend, happy growing💚 🍀 🌞🖖🏼

KurtHighgrade Hi💚 Four weeks are done and everything's fine.
Happy weekend 💚 🌞⭐
@Stony_German, what a honour that you are following the journal👍🙃 honour cause i voted for you being the best grower on GD🙌 if you would have won the grow awards, i had charged some money from you. But you didn't win, so you're getting a consolation prize here🏆🏅💚
@KurtHighgrade, Thank you for your voting. I didn't get it until the voting was done an you can imagine how surprized i was when i saw my Grow is 5th Place. I never expect that for sure.😊 I'm curious how your Super Boof will look like. And if the Terps are similar etc. And thanks for the consolation Price😆
