This is my first entry about my first grow ever.
Tuesday 3/2/2026
Today I planted three feminized sativa dominating seeds: Tangie, Lemon Shining Silver Haze, and Pink Mist. I planted all three seeds directly into soil and coco mix with a sprinkle of organic slow release nutrients. I watered center of the cup lightly with dechlorinated tap water pH'd to 6.8. Light is hanging 65cm above cup's edge and is set to 33% (±105W).
Air temperature ranges from 23C to 27C. I sprayed the inside of the domes with same dechlorinated tap water I used to water the medium to raise RH.
Thursday 5/2/2026
Today top of the medium started drying out so I watered lightly with dechlorinated water pH'd to 6.3.
Day 1 - Friday 6/2/2026
All three seeds sprouted overnight, roughly 2.5 days (60-64 hours) from the moment I planted seeds directly into medium. Air temperature ranges from 24C to 27C with humidity around 33%. I placed all three cups in a plastic bag and sprayed the container they stand in with water to raise RH to ~40%.
Day 2 - Saturday 7/2/2026
All three seedlings keep growing, despite high VPD caused by relatively low humidity. Cotyledons on Pink Mist look a bit thirsty, I'll be hanging some wet rags in the tent to battle the dry air. While it may raise some eyebrows, it also raised RH to 70%, dropping VPD from ~1.7kPa to 0.8kPa. I placed both rags in boiling water to kill any bacteria and I'll be repeating the "cooking" every 12-24h to prevent mold and bacteria growth. This is only a temporary solution, I ordered a humidifier, it should arrive on Tuesday. I watered very lightly from the top and bottom.
Day 3 - Sunday 8/2/2026
Today I "cooked" both rags in boiling water to kill any bacteria on them. No water today.
Day 4 - Monday 9/2/2026
My pH meter stopped working, so from now on I'll be using a more old school testing kit until I buy a new one. Pink Mist keeps stretching, now almost double the height of Tangie. LSSH is praying all the time and catching up to the other two ladies. I watered all three seedlings from the top and bottom. I also sterilized both rags in boiling water again.
Day 5 - Tuesday 10/2/2026
Still waiting for dehumidifier to arrive. Sterilized both rags. No water today.
Day 6 - Wednesday 11/2/2026
All three seedlings continue growing beautiful set of first true leaves. I sterilized both rags and watered all three ladies. Humidity drops from ~70% to ~50% overnight as rags dry out, though seedlings seem okay with humidity fluctuations as they keep growing and showing vibrant, healthy colors. Humidifier delivery is late, should arrive tomorrow morning.
