StealYourFaceNW This is Southern Sunset, the Breeder is Bread and Butta Seeds, It is also known as Southern Sunrise. Bread and Butta describe it as: Gassy, Candy, OG Funk. Clones are from Kaprikorn. Genetics are: Motor breath 15 x Granola Funk Peach Oz. MB15 is Chem D x SFV OG Kush. Granola Funk is Forum GSC x Wookie 15, Peach OZ is OZ Kush x Peach Rings. They look stressed after transplanting the clones from Kaprikorn here in Portland Oregon. I think they will recover. Nothing but 70/30 coco/castings and vermiculite/perlite water and cal/mag. I used Bigfoot Myco on roots during transplant. The ph was 5.8. Going to raise to 6.0 when I do the first nutrient watering with the Cronk Puur Organics Line later today. I will be adding Armadillo Armor Monkey juice and Sticky Bandit as well.

StealYourFaceNW They greened up and perked up and so I topped them before they got to big. They are even bigger now. I thought they would have a period of stress, but with the Cronk nutrients they just seem to be taking off. This next week I will start adding Silica into the mix. 😀 I am just following the nutrient feeding chart that comes with PuurOrganics, for week 4 right now because the clones were kinda big to start with. I think I will flip to flowing in 1 week max, maybe sooner, Kaprikorn said they will triple in size.

StealYourFaceNW One interesting thing about this Southern Sunset is that its structure is not like a christmas tree, it shoots a leave and a node on one side, and nothing on the right, and then the same thing above that on the other, alternating. I was worried this thing would out grow my tent, and it may. I have started tying down the branches. Also surprisingly, it seems like it will yield alot as you will see in the coming pictures. Starting to smell a little skunky and a little like peach or mango. At this point just a little frost on the nugs developing. Cronk is killing it.. nice green to the tips.. the plants seem to love it.. and roots seem to be going crazy.

StealYourFaceNW These are from this morning. I have added a dehumidifier inside the tent now too, but its kind of a weak one. They are just loving the Cronk. I can see tiny little yellow on some tips, not all and not much, have to look for it.. which is worriesome because those are the ones closest to light. I have been tying them down with wires connected to the corner bars to encourage the lateral growth to go up. It seems to be working, but Its getting PACKED with buds already. 5 more weeks left supposedly, I think these nugs will be huge. Smell is very noticeable now, but not as loud as the GG4 I grew.. at least not yet.. Its kind of sweet smelling a thick mango or peach, nice myrcene smelling terps with a back end of flowery perfume and a tiny bit of skunk. Very interesting terps on this strain. 😃😁đŸ’Ș🙏. If any of you pros, wanna give me some tips, I am open to listening. I really wanna opinions on whether I should defoliate, a lot, a little, or just leave them??

StealYourFaceNW 2 days left in week 9 of flowering. They seem Frosty and Dense and Heavy, this plant has very little natural stem strength, I have had to support many of them, they get huge buds on small stems, which may have been the goal in breeding this, I am really surprised with this strain and I wish I would have cloned it. If I was to grow this again I would start with much smaller clones and train them right off the bat, and then double scrog at a much lower level. Also I would consider a less powerful light. I am measuring 1k ppfd on some buds.. its close to too much. Now it says 9 week strain on kaprikorn but 9-10week on bread and butta, and I saw somewhere 65 days.. which is a little over, I am temped to wait till week 10. Unsure. I see lots of trichs filled but not many amber yet.

Week 14. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

I love the outcome. Its Dank, OG Flavor, Piney, Incense, sweet peach finish. Not skunky.. its like a forest.. and freshness. I did the VIVI Pack cure. (Excellent first time for ViVi) It is a heady up buzz at first then it slaps you hard and you get body buzz, will make you space out. If I had not got such huge stretchy tall clones it would have produced incredibly. I would immediately train this strain down and mainline it I think. The smell and buzz are great and if comes through in the flavor, I kept temps for drying in the 62 degree f range and 52- 60% humidity but the temp did swing up to 68 sometimes. Vivi seems to be great, I might harvest a few days later next time.. i harvested on day 65 of flower. I am happy with the outcome 11.3 ounces after Dried..

StealYourFaceNW Pleased with the outcome. Difficult grow.. Plants are amazing though. If you are experienced Id give it a go.. great genetics. I love the OG Foresty Incense Flavor.. and it is so smooth.. I dont know if it was the ViVi cure or what.. but I can take huge hits and you just love the flavor coming out.. and no coughing. Great Strain overall, hard to grow I would say.

@UnorthadoxDude, Yea I heard of it while working at a dispensary for awhile here in Oregon. The breeder is Bread and Butta Seeds, known as Southern Sunrise also. I have only smoked a vape of it. Kaprikorn grows great weed, and these were all clones from them. Supposedly an Indica, but you guys be the judge.. its so hybrid.. it really grows all crazy and more sativa like for me.. but now these big chunky nugs already popping.. and I didnt think it would yield.. I bet outdoor this strain is a beast. Thank you for the support!!!!!🙏😄😃😁

Amazing resin coverage, beautiful bag appeal and it sounds like the flavor turned out exactly how you hoped. Always satisfying when a challenging grow ends with quality flowers like that. Congratulations on the harvest 👏
