Humboldt Trainwreck x Pistachio

Puff_TM_Dragon Transplanted from seed starting tray to 3 gal fabric. Looking good so far. This is only the second Humboldt pheno hunter I’ve tried but they seem to exhibit excellent vigor.

Puff_TM_Dragon Making good progress. Nothing major to report this week.

Puff_TM_Dragon Kind of a boring week for this one. No nutrients. No training. No pruning. This thing is really growing quickly. I have another fem in the tent that is a couple weeks ahead of this one so I’m glad it’s growing fast. I will be setting them to flower at the same time and the rapid growth from this one is helpful. That’s a big reason why I opted out of topping or training as of yet. I may just let her ride it out with minimal interference. Not sure yet. I want to try cloning this but I don’t think the tent schedule will allow it and I prefer not to grow outdoors.

Puff_TM_Dragon Still on the fence about topping this. It’s a vigorous plant and I think it would recover just fine but I am going to concentrate more on defoliating. It has nearly caught up in size to the other fem in the tent despite being nearly 3 weeks behind. That is why I have been wary of topping or LST. Trying not to delay or stunt growth, I need it to catch up. Hoping to go 12 hrs in another week or two. Removed a couple of big sugar leaves that were blocking the lower bud sites.

Puff_TM_Dragon Couldn’t resist topping this week. Cal mag and all purpose Gaia. Maybe a dose of Recharge this week and then proceed with bloom nutrients. I’ll probably be flipping to 12 hrs light next week since this one is sharing space with another plant that is a couple weeks ahead.

Puff_TM_Dragon Lightly top dressed with Gaia all purpose and also with Dr Earth Tomato and Herb. Got a dose of Recharge between the feedings. Topping seemed to slow her down a little bit but recovering nicely nonetheless. Trying to induce a little more growth before switching to 12 hrs.

Puff_TM_Dragon Seems to be doing well. Minimal interference as far as training and defoliation. Started Gaia bloom nutrients. 1 week into 12 hrs and starting to see bloom. Not seeing much stretch at this time but steady growth.

Puff_TM_Dragon Watering every other day. Topped dressed Dr. Earth Flower Girl. Minimal training. Other than topping I haven’t really messed with this plant too much. Well behaved plant so far.

Puff_TM_Dragon Other than feed and water I have been mostly hands off with this plant. Topping really slowed this thing down but looking happy and healthy.

Puff_TM_Dragon Topped dressed with Gaia Power Bloom. Doing the bare minimum with this plant. Topped once, water and feed, some minor defoliation early on but really haven’t disturbed this plant much. Big, healthy leaves and buds to match. I really like the appearance of the buds. There isn’t a ton of them but the buds that are present look like they are going to be big and sticky. I don’t have a ton of experience with Humboldt but these pheno hunters are no joke. Makes me want to try some of their more established strains.

Puff_TM_Dragon Top dressed with Gaia Power Bloom. Watered in some CalMag a few days ago. Not a ton of flower sites but the the main ones look thick and packed with sticky pistils. I have yet to grow a plant that has them packed so densely. Still trying to keep a hands off approach with this. With the natural structure and spacing of this plant (minus 1 topping) it really hasn’t demanded my attention.

Puff_TM_Dragon Top dressed with Gaia power bloom. Removed a few leaves from underneath but mostly been hands off. The buds are looking and smelling amazing. Not expecting a huge harvest but this is looking like some quality bud. One of the lower branches almost formed a fasciation? The buds were almost fused early but are clearly twins. Nice surprise.

Puff_TM_Dragon Great looking buds. Very easy plant. 3 gal and a topping so it didn’t go too crazy. Not super needy. Gotta love hybrid vigor. Very unique smell. Clone worthy although that ship has sailed …unless I attempt a reveg. That takes a little more patience than i am not sure I have. Can’t wait for harvest!

Puff_TM_Dragon These buds look and smell amazing. This plant is well behaved and does what it’s supposed to. Very little attention required. You can just tell the quality genetics are in there despite being a pheno hunter seed. Top dressed with a little bit of Gaia Power Bloom. Cool seeing the doubled up bloom on top of one of the stems.
