Schafe1001 This is barely 18 days from seed, can’t do that with soil (I don’t care how many things of that duty you mix in lol)

Schafe1001 Just a little aggressive on the nutrients. Gonna give it plain pH down water this time.

Schafe1001 Starting to dial it in, I think? Finally, it seems my plant was growing faster than the chlorophyll could keep up. Thai and some ph adjustment and I woke up smiling 🙂
Can somebody tell me something other than the ph that causes lighter colored leaves 🍃 at the early flowering site? The 400 W LED does not give off much heat and is even dialed back to 60% now. Scratching my head.
Schafe1001 I’m probably really a week behind number eight, but I just can’t contain my excitement. Lol everything‘s looking pretty good. The roots are plentiful in the nice shade of alabaster.

Schafe1001 Start of week 8, one step closer 😆 started May 20.. almost week 8 😆
I’m using some homemade CO2, yeast, raisins, sugar, 5 gallon warm water with bubbler on top.
This worked well 32 years ago but I’m curious about the current use/opinion on CO2
Hi! That's a classic and inexpensive way to produce CO₂, and it's still being used today—even by many growers I know in my country.
That said, if cost isn't a concern, there are easier and more efficient alternatives available nowadays.
By the way, I recently completed a genetic cross project by reversing a female plant, and I'm currently testing the results. I'd be happy if you checked out my page. 🙏👽
Schafe1001 Time stands still lol 😂 for the analog kid 👶
But BIG time things are happening in the Garden.
I gots to go see RUSH 😆

Schafe1001 Almost to the finish line. Bulking up like none I’ve seen before. Way to go 42. If you like this, please tell me if you see any areas I can do better. Only my fourth grow this year. How much bud can you actually get from two decent plants of auto flower?

Schafe1001 Oops, things started from seed on May 20, so that makes these about two months (56 days)
In other words, this is week eight and a picture of each plant after defoliation slightly. Ok, so now I got rid of the wrong pics for the wrong week and took current pics for the correct week. In the last few days, major development has happened that is not like any bag seed I’ve ever grown. One of the gelato phenos has colas that are 24 inches or more, that 2 feet! Amazed…2 more weeks. 😜 today was the final deflation and feeding… everything’s done but the waiting to do the cold dark dry closet for two days

Schafe1001 Made a little live rosin from larf. Got it crypto frozen, 1.4g and got back .35 rosin. Anyway, I don’t think I could get any better results unless I was blessed with better equipment. The green thumb is still working after more than three decades. I can see the compact one will be done probably 10 to 14 days before the tall one. But at this rate, the taller one is putting on weight and I’m hoping to see a half LB from it.
A little difficult to know when it’s ready but definitely strong and tasty. Other than these test pieces, the rest will go on Saturday, which puts it at around 83 days from seed to flower that’s the magic 🪄 number. Just added the night before harvest pictures. I am thankful
for all the crap people gave me on my mean questions. Lol.

Schafe1001 Yay, having difficulty finding any ambers still so this is a test harvest, I guess you’d say? I’m really hoping this Saturday when I have time to do things right almost 80 days… just added the night before Xmas 🎄 harvest pics. @FastBuds42 really do have great genetics I’d love to try ‘em all 😊👍
Schafe1001 Sometimes you ask a question of a community full of gurus and get all wrong answers?!? Does anybody want to guess the real issue that caused my pH problem in Hydro setup??? I’ll see if anybody can answer correctly that I didn’t already tell; glad my decades old education straightened things out. Anyway, false alarm on the harvest. Now that I fixed the problem nobody guessed, I’m hoping to get more bulk 😆
Why is it that I got so many wrong answers about my pH problem in a 5 gallon DWC??? Didn’t anybody think of simple stuff like did the air stone stop working because of the massive amount of white roots?
This site is almost as bad as getting medical advice from TikTok. I hope everyone enjoys stroking their egos while I’m smoking the dank
I think most people on here are trying to compete as top dogs, let’s just get down to a live taste test and see what’s really going on
If your talking about the questions section off the site then yeah it can become a dick swinging competition. It doesn't help that answering questions is linked to a competition. All I can say is never act on the answer until you research it. Some tend to answer without checking out the diary.
To be fare it can sometimes be hard to get it correct through just pictures and limited information. So long as you enjoy your own grown weed and it does the job then your a winner.
It's paradoxical to talk about other people's ego using self-reference. Sure, your weed is the dankest of them all, Schafe. Trichomes in your last picture did look delicious; your eyeballs, not so much!

Schafe1001 In the window, hopefully it’s open not closed lol
@Natrona, I remember that guy. Except I think I was getting my oxy from him lol. But seriously I did the math by pictures and it’s day 70. Maybe you could tell me if I’m gonna be safe waiting till day 75.
@Schafe1001, it is hard to see the trichomes in these piccs but they look milky. You can harvest a mid to lower bud to test ripeness amd harvest parts if necessary
@wolfvb, so far the supplemental light 💡 is doing great. You see I needed coverage at that area since the above light was to small. Besides, they all have dimmer switches now.
@Grimgrows, I do have a tent in there, but I didn’t set it up proper just a wall reflecting. I think the white Styrofoam actually reflects better. I just realized today some things to help me keep the pH better, like turning off the drip ring when the roots are already in the deep water. I also have a fan blowing directly at the buckets bringing their temperature down about 5°F.. So much to learn like also keeping the dehumidifier outside of the closet and yes, doing my best to seal that room.
@Schafe1001, it often does outperform mylar on reflecting, they insulate vastly differently though or else more folks would be used to it
something to keep your ph better would be adding something to reflect all the light coming into contact with your solution, prolly keep your hydroton in better shape for a few more runs too. likely a case where mylar's directionality would outperform the styrofoams overall brightness as far as getting some of that energy back up to foliage
im not a hater. you should seriously just look into a Terraform from ACI. the one duct function, essentially letting you run co2 in a tent without exhausting it immediately, also can run off VPD, which is where i imagine youd end up once pushing co2. would also integrate nicely into ACI ecosystem for co2. not that i care, but would help with any smells too since you said your nose is a bit muted these days
happy to have you back growing. 32 years is a lifetime for many
@ATLien415, some things change and some don’t but things were definitely different 32 years ago the real NL number one and the NL crossed with the haze
Like I said, this social website for growing is great. And you make a lot of good connections. I hope lol and get some good ideas. But it seems I need to just keep doing what I know how to do with the equipment that I have. If I was going to compete at growing, I would need a sponsor for a level playing field and then I would keep detailed notes for that.
It depends. I've seen some start flower at 2 weeks some 6 weeks, most somewhere in between. Are you keeping autos under 18/6? They need this 12/12 isn't enough.
So the extra 300 W Mars Hydro was like adding a barbecue 🍖 and I thought LEDs were supposed to be cool. So I’m gonna stick with my 400 W Fecida that gives off almost no heat and just position it better over both plants. Also, not doing that, the advice from whoever said it might be too much I guess has problems with heat control, I do not therefore my buds will be ginormous from the extra 300 W on the side where it needs it. I should probably use AI to verify all these comments that I get lol
