Grow Nr.2

DerFredlFesl This time I decided on two cuttings from Barney's Farm. So I've already saved myself the first two weeks. Today, the two ladies were placed in 1L pots with some Starttrex and Mycotrex.

DerFredlFesl I think I can say for myself that I'll be going back to seeds for my next grows. The Runtz Muffin is doing really great, while the RS11 is still struggling... I'm giving them until Sunday, then I was planning to transplant and start the LST training. The Pink Honey from Grounded Genetics has also already germinated and would take the place of the RS11 if it doesn't recover.

DerFredlFesl The Runtz Muffin has handled the repotting well, the Rs11 seems to be a bit of a diva, with slightly yellowing leaves showing up. I think like everything else, it will just be a matter of waiting, and in a few days, the good one will have recovered. Now, I'm doing a bit of LST training every other day, the goal is to tie them around the pot and then let them grow nicely upwards.

DerFredlFesl So today the ladies were watered with 500 ml of water and tied up a bit again. I'm curious if I can still stick to my plan and really tie them around the pot one more time. What I notice is that they don't seem as vigorous as if I had used seeds, but that impression can be misleading. I just don't think I've really saved any time because of that.

DerFredlFesl So, today I tied down the two ladies properly again and gave them their first decent haircut. Yesterday and today I watered them with 500ml each since the pot was super light; I think by the end of the week I'll try out the irrigation system.

DerFredlFesl Today I tied down the two for the last time, I'll let them grow up for the next week or two. Then they'll be properly defoliated for the first time and tied under the net. I think in about 14 days I can slowly start the flowering phase.

DerFredlFesl So the two are completely off the charts. They have now grown by almost 6 cm since Sunday. I think I shouldn't wait until next Tuesday to switch to flowering. I'll keep an eye on it for another day or two, and I think from Thursday or Friday I'll change the timing and hang the net in the tent. On April 15, I will switch to flowering tonight, otherwise I believe I will have problems in my tent 😅

DerFredlFesl So today was the first long night dark in the tent. I will leave the two alone until Sunday and then comfortably set up the net. I hope I can still train the two well under the net.

DerFredlFesl The two are really taking off now, I'll leave them alone until Sunday and then I’ve planned the first proper defoliation. I've already bent the higher shoots under the net.

DerFredlFesl So today I properly thinned out the jungle for the first time, and I also removed a few small shoots that would never have reached the light anyway. Now the two ladies will be left alone for a few days so they can recover from the stress :D

DerFredlFesl The two are literally exploding! Everything looks pretty good so far, just my lamp is really at its limit now hehe. The two will get defoliated one more time on Sunday before my three-week vacation. And then they'll be on their own.

DerFredlFesl What has happened here in the last three weeks 😍. They look super nice! Tomorrow I might defoliate them a bit more, but otherwise, these two are making a really great impression.

DerFredlFesl It's getting really wild in the tent. The Runtz Muffin is turning a really nice purple, and the RS11 is getting a really nice yellow tint. I think we'll be harvesting at the end of the month 😋.

DerFredlFesl Tomorrow, Friday the 12th, the Runtz Muffin will be just under 60 days into flowering since the time change. I’ll harvest the good one tomorrow or at the latest on Sunday so that the RS11 gets a whole week of nice light from all sides. I have the impression that the two have less yield than the Cookie Casket. But the smell in the tent is insane 😍 What I notice about the Cookie Casket is that I should have cut way more. The buds are all super small. I’m really curious about the result. Next run, everything below the net is getting ruthlessly cut out!

DerFredlFesl I don't know what I did "wrong." I find the buds on both plants super small, and I think I won't harvest more than 50 g (which would be just right here in Germany lol). Still, I think the two are super beautiful for my second grow. The RS11 will also be harvested this weekend; the trichomes are really nice and milky, and a few are already amber-colored. For the next grow, I've already ordered the 8.5-liter pots from Autopot. I think the 20-liter pots were a bit over the top for my tent size.

DerFredlFesl I could have stayed in the tent for another week, but the risk was unfortunately too great for me. I'm curious about the result after drying.

DerFredlFesl So, second run finished with a few problems and learned something for next time: D. I'm really looking forward to the aroma in a few weeks!
