Kali_flauer Welcome to my backup for plant #1 on my other outdoor diary! LSD-25 was the only strain I had in mind as a backup due to her overall resilience and ability to thrive outdoors, so let's see if she can live up to the name! Already I was a little nervous germinating her. I put her under on 02/27 and she popped today 03/05, 6 days later. Much slower than the last 5, which only took 48 to sprout. Hopefully the rest of her grows quickly as I am fighting the clock a little on this grow. I have just under 3 months to grow, dry, and get a little cure in before leaving, so let's make this happen! 💪 Setup is the same as the other journal, DIY Supercompost on the bottom layer of a 3 gal pot with FoxFarm ocean forest as the top layer. No added nutes other than some FoxFarm Big Bloom at the end for some added PK. She will sit indoors for about 5 more days, or until I see roots coming out of the plug. I'll update again when she goes outside. Happy growing everyone 🌱

Kali_flauer 03/05/26 is officially her 🌱 day! She finally has a true leaf sticking out, so I'm gonna count today as the start of veg. Like I said in the germination entry, she will get transplanted to a 3 gal pot and sent outdoors in a matter of days. I'll update again when I move her. Thanks for checking this out! 03/07/26 was a warm and windy day and just happened to be the day her taproot came out the bottom of the plug. I put her pot together and then planted her in the new home! She's outside with the mixed autos and will be about 10 days behind her sisters. That will be it for this week. Thank you for checking this out and have a great grow!

Kali_flauer Modest little update for my modest little LSD-25. 03/13/26 - week 2. 8 days from sprouting. This has been a brutal week for sure. We had lovely spring weather for almost 5 days, but now spring is over and summer is here in full force! 🌞 The last few days have been 86°F at the high and nights are staying pretty warm now too. It's been dry, all the bugs have woken up, and all my plants are under attack. BUT, we persevere. The one guide that I read for outdoor growing said one of the key factors is to just accept whatever happens and be Zen about it. That's what I will aim for with the remainder of this grow. The one saving grace is I have found several lacewing eggs on leaves that have fallen onto their enclosure. These little larvae are absolute WARRIORS when it comes to plant pests 💪. If you don't know much about them, I recommend you look into their behavior and development. You won't be disappointed! Thank you for checking this out, and have a great grow everyone 🌱

Kali_flauer 03/20/26, 15 days from sprouting and she is still hanging in there. Caterpillars have become my #1 enemy in life as they are eating her (and many of my other plants) about as fast as she is growing 😢. Hopefully there will be an end to their voracious hunger, but if The Hungry, Hungry Caterpillar book taught me anything as a kid, it's that caterpillars can put their food AWAY 😂. Thanks for checking this out, I'll give a midweek update if anything changes, otherwise I'll update again next week🌱

Kali_flauer 03/26/26 - 21 days from sprouting and the start to week 4. Everything is going a little better with my trippy little lady, but the damage done by caterpillars is still stifling her growth. There are several other factors including limited direct sunlight (5-6 hours/day) and my untested DIY compost fueling her, but even considering all of that, she is still behind where I want her to be. I'm a little nervous with this grow because of my limited timeframe to work under. I'm doing what I can though. I'm sure the private security I hired is helping with any caterpillars or slugs 🦎. I love the lizards we get here! I think of them as little scaly puppies 😂. Anyways, thanks for checking this journal out, and have a happy grow!

Kali_flauer 04/02/26 - 28 days from sprouting and the beginning of week 5. She's not really flowering quite yet, but I have seen tiny preflowers show up on her secondary branches so I am going to optimistically say she's starting her stretch this week. Definitely still on the small side. I will be curious to see if this location yields better results this summer. I slightly over watered her a few days ago, but she still seems to be ok despite that. Not really much else to say. She hasn't grown a ton which hasn't given me much to work with, but she also hasn't had any major issues 🤷‍♂️. I'll be ok if she stays small as long as she matures quicky and doesn't interfere with my summer plans. Thank you for checking out this diary! Have a great grow, and may your plants turn out better than this little one 🌱

Kali_flauer Sorry for the late update, this picture is from 04/10/26. She's still doing her thing. Not a ton of growth so far, maybe she's just gonna stay small (ok by me!). All I really need from her is to fully mature in time for me to harvest and dry her buds before leaving. Hopefully this works out, getting a little concerned with how slow she is being. We'll see 🤞 Thank you for following along! Have a great grow 🌱

Kali_flauer 04/15/26 - 42 days from sprouting. Similar to my other diary, as you can probably tell in my photos, this little lady got moved indoors 😁. So far she is making her big stretch, but not a whole lot else to report besides that. I'm hoping these colder night temps will start to give her that deep purple bud color, but I'll be patient. Thanks for checking this diary out, and have a happy grow!

Kali_flauer 04/22/26 - 49 days from sprouting. I regret not training her at all. I wasn't concerned about it when the plan was to stay outdoors, but now that all the light she is getting is coming from directly above her, a more even canopy would have been preferable. Her height isn't an issue as she is still shorter than all but 1 of her big sisters, but it means she will just grow a single large cola instead of multiple big ones. I'm a little disappointed in the lack of strong lateral branching, but I know this is also an older strain so maybe that was not a focus in her lineage. I'm also wondering if she will fade to purple at all. Seems like it's really common for the deep colors to show up in this strain, but so far no hint of purple in her or any of the mystery gals. Same as I documented in my other diary, she had a pretty heavy thrip infestation, but bounced back very fast after getting that issue solved. Biggest concern over all else is how long she takes. I have just a little over a month for her to wrap up and get dried. Hopefully she will get there, and I will be thankful for what she provides. Thanks for checking this diary out! Have a fantastic week and great grow yourself 🤙

Kali_flauer 04/29/26 - 56 days from sprouting, and the beginning to week 9. She is still doing her thing, no major issues or conflicts and therefore not a ton to report on. She is still very healthy looking which is great! Just watching those buds swell up, and hopefully soon she will develop her own aroma (currently no smell compared to the other plants in the room) Thank you for checking out this diary, and may you have an excellent grow yourself 🤙

Kali_flauer 05/06/26 - 63 days from sprouting and the start to week 10. LSD-25 is starting to really bulk up in size! That top bud is getting dense and chunky! Same as my other diary, I'm trying something slightly different with the pictures I'm taking. Hopefully they turn out better. Smell wise she is still not super loud, but I'll be patient. Someone else in the grow area definitely has an aroma that is masking hers, so it's a little tricky to differentiate. I'm also going to start to dial back nutes a little. She has the early signs of burn with the little faded leaf tips, but it doesn't look bad so I'm sure she will be fine. She also does not look like she will be the last to finish despite being 8 days younger than her sisters. I wish I had a microscope that connects to my phone so I could show you all, but I swear some of her trichromes are purple. It's definitely weird looking up close. Maybe one day that will fit in the budget 🤔. Lastly, I have gradually reduced daylight hours until this week when we reached 12-12. I'm hoping this will help trick her into thinking winter is coming. Thanks for checking this diary out! May your harvests be grand 🌱

Kali_flauer 05/13/26 - 70 days from sprouting and the start of week 11. Busy week, still not a lot to report. I am no longer concerned about harvesting her in time for my summer trip. She has about 50% orange pistils and mostly cloudy trichromes. She might be ready in a week or so, but only time will tell! Also this week I cut the extra bloom nutes. She's good to go till the end now. Aroma is still very difficult to determine in such a crowded space, but she is somehow reminding me of Blackberry from my last indoor diary. Not earthy, but fragrant with a sweet berry smell. Curious to see how that develops towards the end of her lifecycle. Thanks for checking this diary out, and may your harvests be grand 💪

05/20/26 - 77 days from sprouting, the start of week 12, but the end of her time here on earth. She has been harvested, the buds are a little bigger than I originally thought they were. The other cool part of her is the way she was fading to purple! I'm used to seeing it start earlier or just be a side effect of strong LEDs, but her purple fade came up from within her. It's like the outside of the buds look green, but underneath they are a deep purple. It was unexpected because I never looked at the underside of her buds with good light to notice it. She is very funky, but still has a little sweet berry smell to her. She is now occupying the Herbsnow dryer and will have a dry weight (hopefully) in 4 days. Thank you for following along with this diary! She was a real pleasure and I look forward to growing the other seeds I have of this strain. I'll be back with one or two last updates for the dry weight and post cure smoke test. Have a good one 05/25/26 - Dry weight update! She yielded 22g which is great considering I did literally nothing to her lol. In the future she will get better light and some real training to maximize her output. The buds themselves are dazzling! They have an almost perfectly equal balance of dark green, purple, and bright orange from those huge pistils! I hope the other seeds I have turn out with such a beautiful variety like this. They are not perfect though and seem a little leafy. That may be my fault, but who knows. Only 1 of the other plants I grew alongside her turned out a little leafy so I don't think it's the nutrients/medium or else it would have happened more. Lastly, her aroma is the best part about her! Now that she is isolated, I can finally get the full profile figured out. Her most dominant profile is still sweet berries. Her buds are so sweet that I don't even think they really smell much like weed. Behind the sweetness, there is a burnt wood smell that compliments the sweetness, and finally a touch of gas at the end. The gas isn't overwhelming though and it all comes together really well! I will update again with an actual smoke report after it cures for a while. I've heard the effects of this one can be pretty unique, so I look forward to trying her out! - As I'm getting ready to leave, I opened up all my curing buds to check them and noticed that all of my LSD buds are continuing to fade to purple? Those last 2 photos are of the exact same bud but just a few days apart . I'm not really sure how that works post harvest, but it's definitely pretty!
