xgrowbertx In all of my grows, putting the seed into a glas of water always works the best. Took around 2,5 days before I put it into the pot, and a further 2 days before it popped out of the earth.

xgrowbertx First week went by fast and without any big surprises. For the first couple of days, the plant looked really tiny and I was a bit worried about it not making it or at least being really slow. However, towards the end of the week it picked up growing speed.

xgrowbertx In week 2, the plant stretched towards the light, so I added more substrate to avoid any breaking. Towards the end of the week, growing sped up again. Will start adding nutrients to the water next week.

xgrowbertx She picked up some speed in growing and I used some LST to spread her out. Unfortunately I broke off one bigger branch while doing so. However, the plant recovered fast and I bound her down in the following days to allow an even canopy in the end – hopefully. Also cut some of the larger fan leaves, as they were in the way of the light. Finally, I also started with some BioBizz Bio-Grow.

xgrowbertx Continued with LST and was happy how the plant grow with it. Unfortunately, towards the end of the, I discovered a pest while watering. Did some research and found to have some springtails in my soil. They don't seem to harm the plant itself, but I didn't like the thought of having them jump around in my soil now and buds later. I stopped watering the plant for 3 days and then put 1 ml of neem oil into 1 l of water – with that I watered twice within 4 days and it seems to have done the trick.

xgrowbertx The plant started flowering this week. The second watering with neem oil to get rid of the springtails was done at the beginning of this week and it seems to have worked. Towards the end of the week, I couldn't really find any ones jumping around when watering. Also reduced the amount of watering – I believe I'd overwatered before to attract those sprintails in the first place. This week also marked a pretty remarkable stretch in the plant that started it's flowering late last week.

xgrowbertx Flowering proceeds as planned. Had some yellow leaves that I took off – I believe this might also be an effect of my being pretty cautious with the watering amount after the springtails pest of the previous week and the neem oil I mixed with the water. This week, however, I completely returned to the normal watering schedule without any neem oil. Flowering looks pretty good to me, also there has been another stretch.

xgrowbertx Flowering continues as it should, there are some fine colas building up. The smell on the Royal Haze is way less strong than other grows I had in the past. Took off some leaves that where in the way of the light, but overall tried to do as little as possible in terms of defoliation.

xgrowbertx Everything is going as expected. I'm afraid, there are still springtails in the soil, but I was hesitant to use the neem oil again, as I wasn't sure about the effect on the plant. The buds themselves are getting thicker and I'm looking forward to the next weeks and the home stretch of this grow.

xgrowbertx Didn't do much this week apart from some light defoliation and cutting of some of the smaller flowering sites way down the plant. The main cola is getting bigger by the day and the others look fine as well.

xgrowbertx At this point, I'm just maintaining and sticking to the process. We're on the home stretch with this grow, and I'm basically just waiting for the trichomes to turn ember. Probably will take two more weeks until I will cut the plant down for harvest.

xgrowbertx The plant is getting frostier and frostier. Most trichomes are still clear, some milky ones can be seen too. Waiting on some more ember ones and I'm guessing it will take a good week (and a half maybe) until I'll be cutting her down. Started with just giving water from Day 70 on.

xgrowbertx Switched to only giving water now and just waiting for those trichomes to turn milky and ember – I'm guessing I'll cut her down around Day 80-83. Let's see.

xgrowbertx Just waiting now for more ember trichomes. I thought I would have cut her by now, but she seemed to have needed a couple more days than I assumed. The plant smells pretty intense and has a strong citrus-note, which I really appreciate.

Happy Harvest Day!

Growing the strain was pretty easy and forgiving. I could've optimized it a bit more when it came to LST, but I wasn't going so hard on maximum yield, since I was just trying the strain out. Haven't smoked it yet, since it's still in the curing stage, but will try in the next couple of weeks.

xgrowbertx I cut the plant down on day 91, however, it was good and ready a couple of days before. Since I didn't have time to wet trim on Day 89, but was happy with the amount of ember trichomes, I left her in the dark for 2 days. I stopped giving water on day 85, so she was drying out for nearly a week. The wet weight was around 37 g after trimming, the dry weight after 9 days of drying out in the tent around 18 g. Pretty happy with that.
