The weather has been ok for the first few days, the sun has been out consistently till late into the evenings so fingers crossed it will continue. Being an outdoor grower you can never quite guess weather patterns so I'm hoping this year will be as good as last years summer. At present the outside temp is 19 degrees but inside the grow tent it's a nice 24 degrees. 👍🏻
This week there was rain, rain and more fecking rain ☔️
Growth has slowed a little as I have encountered some nutrient burn.. Bastard!! I think it has only effected the first two leafs, the newer growth still looks a healthy colour. I am trying the trurantula and Piranna nutrients along with sense cal mag and canna cocco a and b. I must have used to much at the start of week 2. I won't be adding as much next time to hopefully avoid nutrient burn.
The weather hasn't been the best but hey I'm in England so should be used to having a shite summer.
This time last year it was blue skies and sunshine for months. That aside, I think this little lady is coming along nicely. She has recovered from the nutrient burn from an eager early feed. I am now in the hands of the gods regarding the sunshine.
This week the weather has picked up and has been consistent for a change. The growth has picked up which is a relief as earlier weeks I encountered some nutrient burn. I flushed as soon a I noticed so fingers crossed this lady with now show off what she is capable of. 🤞I will be starting the low stress training on her tonight so hopefully she will florise.
This week has been a stressful one for me and the little lady. As I started the LST on her last Sunday evening i was nervous as to how she would react at this early stage. She has bounced back tremendously. On Thursday morning I awoke to find the main stem munched by slugs! I have quickly made adjustments so they can't attack her again. Anyone who has grown any type of flower or vegetables outside will have encountered these little shits at some point.
This lady is going from strength to strength following last weeks slug attack! I'm sure it may have slowed growth just a little while she was repairing the wound created by the slug munch.
The weather has been nice and consistent, all adding to the healing process and the low stress training encountered. 👍🏻
The Gorilla 🦍 has started to flower! I'm really excited to see this lady take off. She has reacted nicely to the lst that began a few weeks back, I have been re-adjusting as I could as I was unable to move any higher as she has reacted as it were a scrog in place in some parts. I hope I haven't just made a nice pattern with the main stem rather than nice bud. 🤞
This week has been a good one all round. The sun has been beaming down all day for days and I still due to continue for a while. The gorilla 🦍 has now started to get to a nice bushy size, unfortunately outgrowing the original tent position. After the mistake I made with the Rhino Ryder I grew by taking the bold move to leave permanently in the elements, the cold temps at night really slowed bud production. I have had to improvise and make a shoddy attempt at lifting the tent to allow the room needed.
Weather wise this week was great up until the weekend. Rain, rain and more fecking rain which will cause my nemesis the slugs to appear again like a thief in the night..
The smell at the moment is very pungent, very much like the stink from a zoo! Weird but sure is strong.
I have just added some bat shit into the feed along with a table spoon of molasses to give her sugar boost.
I can wait for this lady to finish she is looking real nice if I do say so my self. Lol.
Things are going really well for this lady. She has continued to produce copious amounts of tricombes and the smell is just unbelievable. I've had to source some air fresheners to hang around the garden to try and mask it.
I've removed a few of the new growth at the bottom of the main stem a some they are only going to suck energy that can be better used.
The tricombe production on this strain is ridiculous! It looks amazing under my microscope. The heads are mostly milky coloured so this may be finishing sooner than expected.
The space in the tent is getting a bit tight so I'll be glad to have more room when this lady has done her thing.
New flowering continues to develop on this lady, she seems to be swelling up day by day.
Yellowing of the fan leaves has started which usually means it's time to flush, I need to check the trichomes to see how amber they appear before I do just in case the flavour or yield could be effected.
The bud sites are just covered in tricomes, I had my magnifying glass out to check the colour and most are milky but not as much as I thought by going by the pistol coloring, as they are mostly brown.
There is a more of a spicy dank smell to her now and the fan leaves have mostly died or are close to dying.
Hopefully I can start the flush process soon but will not do this till I'm happy with the tricome colouring.
The flush is on for this one, all major fan leafs have curled and done their job and the fade on the sugar leafs is looking nice.
Hopefully by Monday or Tuesday I can place her away from the tent to the shed where she will have two days of darkness after the final watering and checking the run off water's ppm.
I canna wait to try this lady! 😋
She has finally been chopped and is currently hanging in the dark slowly drying ready for the trimming stage.
I was tempted to leave her for a few more days but she looked ready under the microscope.
I have not been able to weigh the plant pre chopped so am unable to provide any weights at this stage.
She has been hanging since Thursday of last I am just waiting the opportunity to trim and post pics of this stage.
19th Sept 2019 - a week after drying I was able to sample this lady. She has a dank spiced taste which is similar to the original gg4.
A long lasting high that is definitely indica lead. I was nicely baked for a good hour or two.
In comparison to the original gg4, I didn't find that I had the same buzz in the way that this one hits hard instantly whereas the original I felt I was getting more stoned and the buzz getting stronger by the second. I'm not criticising fast buds gg4 I'm just pointing out the difference I found.
This was a nice easy plant to grow, just pop in the beans after germination and your in for treat. I think I stressed this lady a little but not enough for her to start changing sex on me.
Fast buds have done a great job of keeping the Gene's alive from the gg4.
I would recommend this to anyone who wanted a fast stealthy experience with an auto flower.
