Batch 1 and 2
Bubble hash for the win. This was made with 1-1.25 year old material. Too much material to worry about being picky.

Batch 1 and 2
Okay, a lot of excess material from 1 and 2 years ago. Two batches have been processed and pictured in this harvest week. Future batches will get their own harvest week.
I tried something a bit different than in years past and it's been ~3 years since I made any bubble hash on top of that. This came out dark and I'm not certain if it is the material or the different methods employed. Fourth wash of first batch was oily - beyond normal. In the 2nd batch I lumped the last several washes together and avoided the oiliness but kept the expected yield. I think that's a fair trade-off, and it's convenient.
"Oily" = contamination and green = contamination.
The goal is honey colored and a sandy texture. Deviation from that may be due to longer wash cycles or the material used - age and/or strains. I'll figure that out with the next batch.
Revisions going forward:
Next time I'll do 12-minute wash cycles and a sieve the first ~6 wash cycles. The last half, give or take, will be lumped together. Total wash duration will still be ~3 hours cumulative.
If the shorter wash cycles still produce darker colored yield, it's the material and not the process employed. Also, I'll choose a more-informed point at which to lump the last portion of yield together.
I recall the first 3 washes being of higher quality than the rest and not much need to delineate after that. Six shorter wash cycles should be safe to figure out that demarcation line.
Also, never doing 2 batches in 1 day again. That was too much, lol.
