purpleme A lot has happened with the setup again. New UCL with 120W, side lights, exhaust + intake fans, 2x controllers for above the canopy + below (incoming air) + IR 5 minutes after lights out. Everything has been gradually added and adjusted during the flowering stage, which is why the ladies suffered a bit under the initial settings and experiments. But they have really thrived. I was able to learn a lot, and the yield looks great so far. I'll take some separate shots of the setup in the next few days + recordings of the top and lower buds. + The first shots with the new camera and a macro lens are also on the way to squeeze out a bit more quality. Otherwise, we're slowly approaching the end (Bt43). This means nighttime temperatures are being gradually lowered, humidity remains nice and low, and daytime temperatures will also be adjusted soon + PPFD is being reduced and the final part will be replaced with fertilizer.

purpleme It's been a good week. Put on some weight + ripeness too. Had to support a lot with yo-yos. Dimmed the PPFD down to 650 umol/m²/s, adjusted the side and undercanopy lights accordingly so they don't burn more than the light from above. That would stress the plant massively. Accordingly, the temperatures have slipped a bit + I'm cooling my lung room down a bit, so I get to 24°C room temperature. I'm currently running irrigation drier during the day. 3 hours before lights out, I give it almost to capacity, so in the morning I only need one or two maintenance shots. Learned this from Faven for better quality. This time I also took shots of the lower and mid buds to provide an overview of how much the under canopy and side lights make a difference. But I'll go into more detail about that in the conclusion. Everything down there is already very firm, and I haven't cut anything away. No lollipop or defoliation. According to Faven, the IR should ensure that the full flowering time is 10% faster after lights out. So next week they should be ready. The trichomes are about 70% milky, 30% clear, and some are already amber. The photo shows a top bud, so the others are still a bit behind. When the middle buds are 90% milky, I'll harvest. Then I'll give a brief overview of the setup at harvest.

purpleme Here we are. Flowering Day 56 and ? day. This is the first run where I feel a bit sorry to chop them down. Learned a lot. From crop steering (especially during the stretch), to proper under canopy light, to homogeneous ventilation and exhaust, controlling the VPD as well as PPFD values both above and below (undercanopy), and ultimately the right selection of light spectrums at the right time. What a ride. They all did super well. The Cherry Chewbanger was by far the most temperamental, really took the drought stress during the stretch hard and ended up being the biggest. A real challenge to tame her while also not letting her completely wilt. She showed quick ripeness but never really got thick. However, the terps and trichomes were well present. It's always a balancing act between quality and quantity. Chimera #2 was the constant in the tent. Got thick, nice structure, held up pretty long without support, good frost and smell from the start, and by the end, it even developed its special red wine bouquet. The smell will come in the next report, after trimming and drying there will be some nice nug shots + everything else. Odo was by far the most photogenic, also had a nice bud structure, but had to be supported quickly. It turned out to be quite easy, like the Chimera. There was also a winning pheno in there. But I didn't take any cuttings. Honey Banana gained some real weight and could have probably stayed in the tent for another 2-3 days. It doesn't look very appealing, but it makes up for it with its special smell. It definitely stands out from everything I've grown so far. The strain wrap-up will come in about 2 weeks.
