wolfvb 🌿 Hello World! The Journey Begins! 🌱 Welcome to Week 1 of this brand new run! We have official liftoff, and our tiny new girl has successfully broken ground. There is nothing quite like the excitement of a fresh sprout! πŸ“ˆ The Details / Progress Report: Breaking Ground: She has pushed her way through the medium and is standing tall and proud. First Leaves: The two little rounded cotyledons have fully opened up to catch those first rays of light. Even better, if you look closely at the top-down macro shots, you can already see the tiny, fuzzy first set of true, serrated leaves starting to push out from the center! πŸ”ŽπŸƒ Stem Health: She’s sporting a nice, sturdy little stem with all those natural tiny hairs catching the light. She's standing perfectly straight with no wild stretching, which means the light distance is dialed in perfectly for this delicate stage. πŸ’§ Next Steps: Right now, it is all about patience and a gentle touch. The main focus is keeping the environment comfortable nice humidity and warm temps while she works unseen beneath the soil to establish her taproot. I'll be keeping watering very minimal around the base just to encourage those roots to go searching. We are off to a fantastic start! Let's grow! πŸŒ±πŸ’¨

wolfvb 🌿 True Leaves and Taking Off! πŸš€πŸŒ± Welcome to Week 2! The little sprout from last week has officially established herself and is starting to lay down her foundation. She is looking perfectly healthy and happy in her medium. πŸ“ˆ The Details / Progress Report: True Leaves: The first set of single-leaflet, serrated true leaves has fully fanned out to catch the light. They have a beautifully vibrant, bright green color with absolutely zero signs of stress or discoloration. πŸƒ New Growth: If you look closely right at the center apex, you can already see the next set of multi-fingered leaves starting to push their way out! She is officially building nodes. πŸ”Ž Stem Health: Her stem is staying nice and short, thick, and covered in those tiny natural hairs. The lack of stretching is a perfect indicator that your light distance and intensity are completely dialed in for this fragile seedling stage. Cotyledons: Those two little round seed leaves at the very bottom are still plump and green, providing her with that early essential energy as her roots search the soil. πŸ’§ Next Steps: Right now, the game plan stays the same: patience and environment control. Keeping the humidity up and temperatures warm will let her focus entirely on building a robust root system underneath that fibrous topsoil. Watering stays very minimal, just watering in a ring around the outside to make those roots stretch and search for moisture. She is off to a flawless start! Let's grow! πŸŒ±πŸ’¨

wolfvb 🌿 Building the Foundation! πŸ—οΈπŸŒ± Welcome to Week 3! Our little lady is officially out of the fragile sprout stage and is settling perfectly into her medium. She is working hard on building that vegetative foundation. πŸ“ˆ The Details / Progress Report: True Leaf Development: She is making great progress! We now have multiple sets of true, deeply serrated leaves fully fanned out and catching the light. The newest growth at the apex is pushing out perfectly symmetrical nodes. πŸƒ Color & Health: The foliage is a beautiful, vibrant, bright green. There are absolutely no signs of stress, nutrient issues, or burning. She is perfectly happy in her current environment. Support & Security: I’ve got a piece of training wire resting gently nearby to help guide her if needed, and of course, the tattooed baby mascot is right there in the soil keeping a close eye on her progress! πŸ‘ΆπŸ‘€ πŸ’§ Next Steps: At this stage in Week 3, a massive amount of growth is happening out of sight beneath the surface. She is establishing her root zone in that airy mix. The goal right now is to maintain a consistent environment with warm temperatures and good humidity, watering gently in a ring around the base to encourage those roots to stretch outward. She is looking flawless. Let's grow! πŸŒ±πŸ’¨

wolfvb 🌿 Pink Rozay x Strawberry Banana - Slow & Steady! ?🌱 Welcome to Week 4! I completely know the feeling when you are monitoring them daily, this early vegetative phase can feel like it is moving at a snail's pace. ? But don't let the lack of explosive top growth fool you; she is actually making perfect progress where it counts the most right now. πŸ“ˆ The Details / Progress Report: Root Zone Focus: When a plant seems to "stall" above ground at this size, it almost always means she is putting all her energy into expanding her root network below the surface. She is establishing a massive, healthy root system in that medium so she can support the big stretch later. Leaf Development: she has successfully pushed out her first set of multi-fingered true leaves! The structure is beautifully symmetrical, and she is keeping her footprint nice and tight. Flawless Health: The color on this little lady is absolutely pristine. There isn't a single spot of discoloration, burning, or curling. The extreme close-up in 64236.jpg shows tiny, perfectly formed new leaves pushing right out of the center apex with excellent, tight internodal spacing. πŸƒ Security: The yellow ID tag is in place, and the trusty baby mascot is still keeping a watchful eye on her progress! πŸ‘€ πŸ’§ Next Steps: The hardest part right now is simply letting her do her thing without intervening too much! The biggest trap when they are growing slowly is the temptation to overwater or push nutrients too early. We just need to stay the course, keep the temperature and humidity right in the sweet spot, and only water lightly in a ring around the outside of her canopy to make those roots stretch out and search. Patience will pay off. Once those roots hit the edges of the pot, she is going to take off! Let's keep it growing! πŸŒ±πŸ’¨

wolfvb 🌿 Pink Rozay x Strawberry Banana - The Waiting Game! ?? Welcome to Week 5. I'll be honest, it really feels like she has hit the pause button this week. The top growth is moving at an absolute snail's pace, but I'm not panicking just yet! πŸ“ˆ The Details / Progress Report: Underground Construction: When a plant this size seems to completely stop growing upward, it is almost always because she is putting 100% of her energy into her root zone. Because she is in a spacious fabric pot, she is taking her time building a massive, sprawling root network. The breathable fabric is doing its job to air prune and branch those roots out, but it means we have to wait a bit longer for the vertical explosion. 🌳 Foliage Check: Looking at the close-ups in the new photos, she is holding onto her structure. The leaves are leaning toward a slightly lighter, lime-green color right now, which is pretty common when they are working hard on roots rather than vegetative foliage. The Setup: The trippy tattooed baby head is still holding down the fort in the topsoil, giving the whole pot that perfect surreal vibe while we wait for her to take off! πŸ‘οΈπŸ‘Ά πŸ’§ Next Steps: The absolute hardest part of this phase is resisting the urge to "fix" it. The biggest mistake right now would be to overwater her or hit her with a heavy dose of nutrients to try and force growth. I am going to stay patient, keep the environment dialed in, and only water lightly in a wide ring to encourage those roots to keep searching for moisture. Once she fully establishes herself in this pot, she is going to absolutely explode. Just gotta stay the course! πŸŒ±πŸ’¨

Grow Questions

wolfvbstarted grow question 6h ago
Hey everyone! I'm on week 5 with this Strawberry Banana, and the growth feels incredibly slow. It also took quite a long time just to germinate. Could you please check out my diary entries from the last few weeks and let me know if this looks normal for its age? Any advice on how

Yea man you need to water that substrate is bone dry, and hate to be the bearer of bad news, but sure looks like you got pest damage on the leaves.
