Germination

JJGreen Dropped the bean on Saturday morning, in soil. About 1/2 inch finger hole, then covered bean with soil. Then I poor about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water over the bean in the middle of the fabric pot. About a silver dollar size water spot should be seen on top of the soil after watering. I have two lights hanging from the top of my tent and I drop those down to about 12 inches above fabric pot to prevent stretching of the plant. This is my first grow with two full spectrum LED lights so I will have to play with the intensity, trying to keep the temp between 70 and 80. My tent likes to stay at around 50% humidity, so I spritz the inside of the tent and pot with sprays of water until it gets into the upper 60's. I like 68% humidity and 80 degrees F.

JJGreen Seedling stage. But they do not have that option. Sages are germination, seedling (until it gets 3 sets of true leaves), veg and flower. One week exactly has passed and Lupe is still a seedling.

JJGreen 3rd week, second week of seedling stage. 3rd set of serrated leaves have sprouted and as soon as they fold out completely I will start with my fertilizer schedule. My LED lights are about half strength, turning them up as she grows. I will water with a half gallon of water on a 5 gallon fabric pot. I sill use fertilizer after every 2 waterings and only water when soil is dry.

JJGreen Week four total. I topped Lupe this week and she is doing great. I have had to up my watering schedule as she grows, now I have to water every single morning getting close to the 1/2 gallon max suggested by my grow bible. I fertilize every 3rd watering. I have not flushed to get ppm as of yet but will next week. Noticed a light aroma now permeating from Lupe. Smells delicious. Will have to turn up my air pump and filter and raising my lights little by little as she grows. My fan is on a low speed just to keep the air circulating. At this point just want to keep her green and happy.

JJGreen Had a slight scare but a flush fixed the issue. Removed 3 of 4 fan leaves to allow light to the future bud sites. She is spreading out nicely and do not see a need to manipulate or tie down. I will begin to lollipop her this weekend. She is drinking approximately 1/2 gallon of water every morning when lights go out at 5:00 am. I am fertilizing her every 3rd watering. So 2 waters then fertilize on the next water cycle.

JJGreen Going to flip on Saturday, will begin to train to allow each future bud sites access to light. Had an issue with Lupe being very saggy after a light cycle. Decided to move the two lights up higher away from the plant. From about 1 foot to 2 to 3 feet away and it has helped. Going for 8 weeks in flower stage and changing light cycle to 12/12. I will also start her on the ILGM "Flowertime" fertilizer.

JJGreen Flipped on Saturday after a flush and Veg feeding. Installed the SCROG trellis netting to train the stems/colas to grow at same height. Sunday started her on FlowerTime nute's from ILGM. Now on a 12/12 light dark schedule. Shooting form 8 weeks of flower but only the trichomes will tell the tale.

JJGreen After flushing her last Saturday her PPM was very low at 432 ppm. So I fertilized 3 out of last 4 waterings and I will flush again this Saturday to take another reading. Looking to get it up to about 900 ppm. She is hungry and thirsty, never seen a plant eat or drink this much. Other than that she is doing nicely. Browning a bit on the tips, to be expected. Starting to see pistols and the cola bearing stems are stretching nicely. Hope they do not hit my lights. Maybe I need to raise my trellis netting to damp her down a little?

JJGreen Lupe stretched and 4 stems hit the lights. May be able to move my lights up another 6 inches. Tied down the 4 stems to my trellis netting. Newbie to this training so I hope I do not break anything. Judging by the looks of her after 3 weeks in flower she is going to take 8 to 9 weeks at a minimum. Can not wait until she starts to develop those delicious colas.

JJGreen Moving along nicely. Feeding her every other water and still cannot get the ppm up to 1000. Lupe is so hungry. I prune her every day taking only a handful of fan leaves and low on stem stuff. The cola's are developing very slowly, hope this is a good thing. I need the buds to form solid all up and down the stems. My biggest issue is keeping the stems from hitting the lights. I am having to super crop, kind of scary, and twist tie all the stems down to each side of the trellis netting. By doing this the tops of the developing cola's are no longer directly under the lights. I hope this does not cause underdevelopment??

JJGreen Colas forming lowly. Several stems grew past my lights. This is the time in your grow where you have to keep close attention to things. My last flush as at about 1000 ppm. Getting high humidity levels at night of up to 65 %. Turning up the fan and exhaust has helped. Keeping a close eye on her, looks to me she has at least 4 to 5 weeks left.

JJGreen This has not been a bad grow. My biggest issues seems to be the stretch. I have 4 or 5 stems that are hitting the top of the tent. Trained most of the rest but it has not been easy. Think I am going to ditch the tent on the next grow. Hopping the plant booster with 27P and 27K will boost my cola formation. I am looking for dense colas. Maybe 3 or so weeks left, wont know for sure until I start to see some amber trichomes.

@Aeromatics, thanks, only my 5th grow but trying to make this one count. If I can grow 2 good plants a year, then I can get high on my own supply and save a ton of money. Shooting for quality, good THC % and a nice cannabinoids. GSC extreme touts 30% THC.

@JJGreen, that's awesome! I'm the same. A self grower! Although I grow too many plants and end up having way to much flower haha!
