I may have over trimmed my 00 kush, too soon to tell. I added a 600w LED light to the grow at the beginning of the week. Still open for all advice, I did not use any nutrients
Hi there mate I see you are using a bloom nutrient Is that correct?
During the vegetative stage your plants do'nt need any extra P or K
You only really should use the bloom products once the early flowering stretch is over and
flowering has well and truly begun.
Stick to your grow product at around half strength and you should be good to grow mate ๐
Looking forward to seeing those buds
The 00 kush stretched,I have almost 10 inches between the light is this good at 7 weeks or do I need to prune the top? How much is too much defoliation at this point, can I do away with the fan leaves? Could use advice for the future on how to know when to flush the plants?
@410newb Hello again mate If those girls keep stretching you may need to do some supercropping https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-bigger-cannabis-yields-with-super-cropping-n815
Also a light defoliation to allow more air flow in and around the bud sites would be a good idea.
As for flushing Once your plants have reached the stage when the trichomes are clouded You can then flush for the final week and harvest During the normal lights out period . Remember if you supercrop you must do it now so it wont stress the plants too much which could effect the final yield and even potency. Any other questions you have feel free to message me and I will do my best to help ๐๐
@DILLIGAF, The 00 kush is an auto. I'm running the lights 24 hours, had to place my tent in a cool, dry, basement to finally control the temp. I'm hoping the extra electricity is worth it
@dilligaf Thank you, I super cropped the two branches that stretched the most, I also placed in support to hold up and apart the different bud sites. Thanks for the help.
Hi @410newb! Trust your soil and only add some root stimulator if you have some, otherwise you will increase the risk of a toxicity on such young seedlings. Remember that it's way easier to fix a slight deficiency than to recover from a slight toxicity. Plus you will reduce your costs in terms of fertilizer, hey that's also why autos are great no? :-) Pay attention to the plant's reactions (mostly the leaves and global coloration) and do not add extra nutrients, unless your plant asks for it, your soil should contain enough nutrients for the first 4-5 weeks. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! ๐
Here's my two cents to your question. Let the plants feed on the soil, only start nutrients when you spot the early stages of a deficiency, those pots will feed the plants on their own for several weeks. As for nutrients, it does not matter, pick whatever you like and keep it simple. I would get a bloom nute only, most probably the amount of soil you have will allow you to skip the whole veg stage without needing to feed anything.
Hi. You should wait couple weeks before giving any nutes. Soil has some in it and young plants overfeed easily. If you feel you have over fed them you should give just straight water few waterings. Also good idea is to try how much them pots weight and decide from that when to water.
Hope this helps and good luck with your grow! ๐
@410newb is 00kush an auto or photoperiod plant mate ?
Also curious as to what lighting schedule you are running ?
I am trying the 20 hours on 4 off schedule on my auto grow seems to be allright
wouldnt reccomend for big hps lights tho as those extra running hours would probably run up the
light bill and temperatures
Will keep watching with interest ๐
@410newb, wow 24hrs I couldnt afford that bill with the cost of electricity where I live in Oz ๐ I've gone LED to cut my power costs which will unfortunately cost me final yields I expect
But thems the breaks ๐
