Cereal Milk + Extras w/ Drip Irrigation

GoldenEYE Nothing notable about the strains themselves yet. Clones were somewhat different from their mother plants especially the pink passion, has way more vigor than the mother. Hoping to find a good cereal milk pheno as I have to start from seed where I’m at. Got them off a reputable site and even spoke to the store otp so just have to hunt thru and find the one I want. Advanced nutrients has been good other than buildup in the reservoir. Had better success with them over Athena but most likely due to me using Cleanse. Kills off microbes ruining the terps and makes weaker stems. Everything’s controlled with the controller Ai. It waters 1hr after lights on in 3% increments 15m inbetween increments until hitting max WC (40-41%) then dries back for the rest of the day. Will be flipping these to flower shortly so you can see what to expect from the Pink Passion fruit strain since I haven’t seen any diaries yet.

GoldenEYE Plants drinking up to 1,000mL of nutrient mix a day. Following Athena’s irrigation methods with coco so won’t be getting a feed until 50-60% WC loss from the 1.5gal pots until week 5 which promotes generative growth (more bud sites) Papaya sherbet hasn’t stretched like at all since starting flower and was on the road to getting left behind so they’re up on some risers. No signs of balls yet but I got my eye on em 🔍 👁️ seems like 10% of ppl growing these seeds will run into that unfortunately

GoldenEYE Going good this week just a few small errors with the Cereal Milk clone in the front (now the shortest) I had the heater on pointed inside the tent and only intended to leave it for 5m and that turned to 30-40m so it was 90° inside and harmed the branching. Also because I had the soil sensor inside that pot im noticing how it’s in taking less water than before but the irrigation system is based off that pots WC%. ACinfinity just has some mid products like basically only 1x sensor on the Ai controller for your soil probe so I was unable to have at least 2x for better readings. Slight tip burn on the papaya sherbet but only a few leaves. Most likely caused by the lack of runoff since irrigation system goes till max WC% in the now injured cereal milk so it’s not able to fill past that pots maximum. If you’re curious about the irrigation system it’s: Water pump + soil probe set to go on once pot WC% hits 50% of its maximum (in my case 40% WC is my max so we look for 20% before watering again. This typically takes 2x days so the pump goes on every other day on the app. It goes on for 5m totaling 500mL of solution which is equivalent to about an 8% irrigation shot for the 1.5gal pot size. It then goes off for 45m before turning on again for 5m and so on until reaching max WC% in the pot.

GoldenEYE Nothing notable this week other than the Cereal Milk fully dying off it seems. It’s unable to pull nutrients effectively through burned stems and has resorted to pulling from the leaves. Not much faith left in that one, you can see I swapped the riser with the papaya sherbet to the left of it but I doubt it’ll become any larger, hoping it it’ll be good for a ice water bath tho. Pink passion fruit is the only one with a scent so far and it’s very sweet Plants drinking about 2,000ML nutrients every other day, cereal milk is taking up nothing or close to it. Hoping everything will start to stretch now that it’s been defoliated including a lot of the lower sites that have now been exposed. We’ll have to wait till next week to see how the results turn out. You can really see how beneficial the extra 150W top lights on the sides of the AcInfinity 2x3 bar led lights and the undercanopy is providing light throughout the bottoms. A lot of the lowers were just slightly smaller than the buds just below the top but same size as the buds getting minimal light Just increased undercanopy from lvl 4 to 10 so the lowers will become a lot more pronounced as the weeks go by PPFD on the highest buds are 950 while the rest fall under 500-650. So you can see we need a big stretch here! Still using generative irrigation strategies by watering to max WC% in 8% shots (500ml) with 45m intervals until maximum.

GoldenEYE Cereal milk and pink passionfruit smell absolutely amazing, both extremely sweet scents with cereal milk taking the lead on sweetness. Smells just like a bowl of sugar, can only hope that this translates well in late flower and cure. Fastbuds papaya sherbet still smells like air, nothing at all coming off but when you run your fingers on the trichomes there’s a lil something you can smell but nothing close to the other two. As you can see I removed the injured cereal milk as it was starting to smell bad and growing mold. There was a home of gnats inside its pot that might’ve caused it to be unable to recover but none the less it’s out and tent is looking healthy. Going back to vegetative watering this week so 3% irrigation shots (1.5gal =5,678 mL / 3% =170mL) with 15m intervals between each irrigation event. Looking for 25% dryback of max field capacity between the end of irrigation to the next day irrigation event. Also fairly sure the cereal milk seeds are from premium cultivars since the website I bought them off of uses the same image as the breeder. No issues with them so far and it’s the sweetest smell in the tent so I have faith it’ll live up to what I’m searching for. Also side note this next week I’ve switched to HGV nutrients with no additives so PPM is 1420 on the .5 scale. Considering adding bud factor X but I’m good on potential build up in the reservoir. Changing it out this week there was plenty of gunk buildup on the airstones and inside the water pump and for efficiency sake I don’t want that to be a weekly occurrence.

GoldenEYE Switched to HGV. A lot cheaper and faster to mix. No buildup in the reservoir. Mixing w 7.0 RO water the PH drops to 5.5 which is fine for me tbh but starting with 7.5PH water would be best.

GoldenEYE Going into flush week. Nutes are at half strength for 4x days then no strength for 4x days after this 10gal res is empty.

GoldenEYE Definitely would check out breeders who’ve taken the breeder cut and reversed it. Doing that now SoLoud.com
