Lotopharg Since this morning, all three ladies have risen from the soil. Very nice! 😌👍🏼

Lotopharg I let the girls do their thing with just a little water from the spray bottle. They got a bit leggy in the first week. I adjusted the fan and gave them a bit more light, and they immediately responded and stopped stretching. Overall, I'm very satisfied with them, as they will be defoliated a bit at the bottom anyway, due to the snail collar. The S.A.D has a slightly nibbled leaf, but I consider that a harmless mutation. I like them a lot and I'm curious to see what the next few weeks will bring. Thank you all for your attention!

Lotopharg The girls are doing well, but I haven't started training yet because I want to let them stabilize a bit more. I really like the compact little stature of the Afghani 1. I also like how the Cream Caramel stretches. I'm very happy with the girls! 😎💖

Lotopharg The ladies survived my absence well. They were really drooping yesterday, but after a watering, they perked up. They must have been a bit dry for a few days since the lower leaves were cannibalized. The soft topping was well tolerated by the photos, and nice secondary shoot tips have developed. I repeated the process today. I also trimmed the leaves of the outer shoot tips that were growing inward. You can see this well in the photos of the SAD S1, in case you can't quite picture it.

Lotopharg The girls want to go outside (out of their too small pots), and you can see it on them. However, since it's still quite cold at night (2°C and 3°C for me this week), I've decided to "soft-top" the plants again despite the end of the ice saints and wait for the main shoot to grow out again (at least 1-2 days) before putting them outside. I probably should have given the Cream Caramel a bit of Epsom salt, but I won't start that now. For the photos, I also stole some fan leaves from the bottom for transport and snail collars. Overall, everything is hanging again. Watered too infrequently once more, but at least they're nice and small for transport. All in all, I'm still quite optimistic.

Lotopharg All the girls have handled the heat of the last few days well. Since I haven't trained them further, especially the autos have really taken off, and you can see the formerly good side branches just kind of hanging down low. The photos have kept their nice shape, and one auto has too, so it's not a complete failure for the soft-topping. I probably could have removed a few more leaves. Now that they're outside, I won't be removing any fan leaves anymore; they're doing their thing now. The CC deficiency is finally over. The good garden soil and the less calcareous water have done their job. They still look a bit light green, but I think I won't fertilize for now and let things run their course. Both the SAD S1 and the Cream Caramel have a different feeding pattern than the LSD25 Auto. Something seems to be munching on them. As long as there are more uninfested leaves than infested ones, I'll let it run for now; they look super healthy. A little munching is, I think, part of the relatively healthy ecosystem (and otherwise, I'll either water with nematodes or release ladybug larvae). First, I won't lose my head; the plants are now part of a bigger whole, which I actually don't want to disturb much. There were indeed planting holes; I must have had too much energy or no drill for the planting augers or something. They all actually look significantly darker green than in the photos; every time I came into the garden, they were praying hard, except when I came around to take photos. Typical! Lotopharg SAD has red rust spots, similar to "CalMag" LED "disease"/spider mites. It's also been eaten up quite a bit, but it's stable. CC also has quite a bit of rust and munching, but I really like its structure. Unfortunately, you can't see it in the picture, but the Afghani really has powdery mildew everywhere. I didn't have any baking soda or milk in the garden, so it had to be defoliated quickly. It looks really weird now; if it comes back, I'm considering topping it, but the powdery mildew is really everywhere around it, on the plants. I think I can cautiously say goodbye to it, but maybe something will still happen. Thank you very much for your attention! 😎

Lotopharg The LST/HST of last week has borne good fruit. At least with SAD S1 and CC, they understood the assignment and I was able to free them from their stakes. The Afghani#1, on the other hand, was not impressed at all; it simply continued to grow with unbroken Akipaldominance. This is not unusual for the strain; I've read a few times that topping is discouraged, and I think that is simply showing right now. I pressed it down a bit more; if it adapts, I will let it free again next week. I just wanted to see if another week makes a difference. Afghani#1 is the unyielding one in the truest sense of the word. I don't get the impression that it has grown significantly below and pumped growth hormones and sugar into the secondary shoots. It has also been fertilized a bit, but less strongly than the other two, due to its powdery mildew problem. Too much N makes the tissue too "spongy". Thank you very much for your attention! 😎

Lotopharg The garden photos have finally started to bring me some joy. Everyone received a preventive Leaf Coat treatment again. I need to remember this for next year; the pest pressure is quite high in the garden. The elite dominatrix offspring is doing the best of the three photos. She is finally out of her N-deficiency. The Akipaldominance has returned, so I "supercropped" the main stem to the side. I was a bit enthusiastic with the massage (one could also say clumsy), which is why the treated stem was hanging limply around afterward. This is obviously not good with the current temperatures, so I set a few more stakes, this time for support. Additionally, she received a little selective defoliation to strengthen the lower hidden stems. I really like her structure now. Of course, she is much too small for week 10, no question. But for being wild in the way too small pots, she has done quite well so far. The Cream Caramel is still lacking a bit. Or rather, she is already showing signs of N-deficiency again. I have therefore fertilized her vigorously again. Of the three photos, she is definitely the hungriest. She has recovered wonderfully from the branch snapping and shows even growth in the shoot tips. She has actually started to timidly invest in her side branches. I really like that. But what I liked even more is that she has been free of powdery mildew.

Lotopharg The garden photos have all remained very stable during the heat. They were able to put on some leaves despite the ongoing heat. I was too worn out to go watering. The good survival indicates well-branched and stable roots, which makes me happy. The side shoots of the Afghani#1, which I praised last week, have unfortunately been pretty eaten up, but there are still some remnants left, maybe something else will happen. The Cream Caramel is nice and bushy and a bit hungry. I staked it to the side after the picture. The SAD S1 has also grown nice and wide, and was also trained to spread out. All photos got a bit of silica in the watering. Thank you very much for your attention!

Lotopharg The three girls in the garden are doing well, but they're quite the eaters. Since I didn't want to pour more liquid fertilizer into the soil, I fertilized them with 20g of HMP each. Since they still aren't flowering but are showing signs of nitrogen deficiency, I think they might just make it to flowering.

I also tidied up the soil zone a bit for all three. A lot of green manure had grown into the plants. And since I was at it, I removed water shoots from the bottom 1/4 and lightly lollypopped the plant. After that, I removed heavily eaten and chewed fan leaves. Overall, I really like the three, it's a bit of a shame that the Afghani#1 will end up with one main stem, but at least decent secondary stems have formed.
