Grow Questions

Mbakinistarted grow question 6y ago
Was reading that Chemdawg seems to need additional doses of Calmag. I think it may have magnesium or phosphorous deficiency. Any comments? Ph 6.2 - PPM 1000 First week of flower. DWC was going todo a water change and re-introduce nutes Plants are consuming about .75 gal/day

I give mine around 4-700 as they are smaller and once they get bigger give more. So your doing good just calmag with every feeding and make sure your ph is perfect

Cal Mag with every watering. 1000 ppm is way too much, looking foward to your grow im doing Chemdawg from HSO next round.

A gradual increase in your PH from 5.8 to 6.2 is good as your plant need higher intake of different nutrients and mineral when flowering. I had found a chart which can from studies showing a different range of preferable PH level over the course of a cannabis plants life. If I find it I'll send it to you. I personally would not increase your feed over 1000ppms unless you are very comfortable increasing. Only you can know for sure how your plant is reacting to those levels but at any sign of tip burns you'll need to back off instantly.

Mbakini Week 7 Flowers are starting to fill in nicely. Last defoliation worked out well as it added more circulation and light. I am still trying to decide if I should cut some of the lower bud sites that seem to be getting decent light? I will probably shed them tomorrow!!! PH is stable and nut uptake looks solid.

@Mbakini hi mate put in a possible solution to your question hope it helps

Looks good. Keep in mind the extra nitrogen in the Cal mag when feeding this stage of flower. Let me know if you have any other questions! 👍👍🍀

Hi @Mbakini! I think your feeding schedule is fine, maybe a bit hot for autos. To me the problem comes from your pH, it's a bit high for a soilless setup: in DWC - as in hydro - you better have a ~5.8 pH in order for the roots to manage nutrient intakes at their best. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! 👊

Extra Nitrogen in flower? I think its just the opposite. Where did you get this data?
motaman311
motaman311commented6y ago
@Mbakini, I meant be careful because there is nitrogen in most Cal-mag supplements. You're right, it is the opposite thats why I wanted you to be careful hahaha . 🍀

Hi @Stick I toned down the PPM on the auto's to 700/800 PPM they are doing much better now . PH on all between 5.7 and 5.9 so its in the zone. They are growing about 1" inch + per day now. One last one? I bent a long branch in the middle so its sort of dangling and I secure it with a proper soft bendable wire. Will this come back? It will have a good bud site if I can save her. Will post more photos tomorrow.

Have had to add additional Cal-Mag was reading that Chemdawg seems to need additional doses. I was going to do some light dose Cal-Mag / URB foiliar misting as I was dealing with a slight magnesium deficiency. I like working with RO water however the plants are consuming about 1/4 to 1/2 gallon a day now so I am adding only PH'ed RO water with 5ML Cal-Mag every 3 days. And the rest of the nutes 3/4 strength every week. Any comments please let me know your experiences. Plants are really lush at this moment.
