HandsomeTerpz The first week is done, and both seedlings of Terpyz Spice Temptation are off to a strong, healthy start. With 60% RH, 23°C, and an 18/6 light cycle at around 200 PPFD, the conditions are right where they should be—and it shows. Both plants have established cleanly and are now developing their first true leaves. No stretching, no signs of stress—just steady, controlled growth. Exactly what you want to see at this early stage. Right now, consistency is everything. Keep the environment stable and be careful with watering—roots are still small, so avoid overdoing it. If things continue like this, they’ll transition smoothly into the vegetative phase. Strong start, everything on point—this run is set up properly from day one. 🔥

HandsomeTerpz The first week is done, and everything is right on track. Both seedlings have established themselves well and are developing their first real leaves. Growth is steady and healthy, with a compact structure so far. The environment is dialed in: 25°C during the day and around 19°C at night, combined with a humidity level of 70%, which is ideal for this early stage. The light cycle is set to 18/6, delivering about 300 PPFD, keeping the seedlings happy without stressing them. The substrate mix of Light-Mix, All-Mix, and perlite seems to work great, providing a good balance between nutrients and aeration. With a pH of 6.0, nutrient uptake should be optimal. Feeding is minimal at this stage, just a light support with BioTabs products (Bactrex and Orgatrex) to encourage root development and microbial life. At 7 cm height, the plants are still small but look vigorous and stable. No stretching, no deficiencies exactly what you want to see in week one. Now it’s all about maintaining stable conditions and letting them build a strong root system. The foundation for a successful grow is being set right here. 🚀🌱

HandsomeTerpz Week 2 of vegetation is going strong and everything is running smoothly so far. The Spicy Temptation is developing nicely, currently sitting at around 11 cm with a healthy and compact structure. Conditions are well balanced: 25°C during the day, 21°C at night, and a steady 60% humidity. The light cycle remains at 18/6 under the MIGRO Aray 4x4 LED, with a lamp distance of about 35 cm and around 300 PPM. The plant is growing in a 12L pot using a mix of Light-Mix and All-Mix with added perlite. Feeding is based on the BioTabs lineup including Bactrex, Orgatrex, Mycotrex, Startrex, and Organic Fertiliser Tablets to build a strong living soil foundation. Watering is currently done manually with about 2L per plant per day. Airflow and filtration are handled by a 6-inch inline fan and carbon filter setup, keeping the environment stable and fresh. So far no issues at all – the plant looks happy, vigorous, and ready for the next steps 🌱🔥

HandsomeTerpz Vegetation Week 3 The Terpyz Spicy Temptation has adapted extremely well to the transplant and is now starting to explode with growth. Every day the plants look stronger and more vigorous The single-leaf mutation is especially fascinating The structure looks completely different compared to regular plants and that’s exactly what makes this grow so exciting right now. Every plant is developing its own unique character. Right now the entire grow is running purely through the living soil ecosystem Everything the plants currently need is already present inside the substrate, so at the moment only water is being added. That’s exactly what fascinates me about living soil the microorganisms do the real work and the plants are responding incredibly well so far

HandsomeTerpz The mutant Spicy Temptation by TerpyZ Mutant Genetics is honestly one of the most exciting plants in the tent right now 👀🌿 She grows completely different compared to the others and keeps developing these crazy single-finger leaves in several areas, which gives her such a unique mutant look 🔥 I’m extremely curious to see how the leaf colors will develop later in flower because this genetic already has a really special vibe. Besides the mutation traits the plant itself is growing very healthy, vigorous and surprisingly strong. Structure and growth speed are both looking great so far and she responds very well to training 🌱 Definitely one of those plants where you constantly stand in front of the tent just staring at her wondering what she’s going to do next 😅🔥

HandsomeTerpz he Spicy Temptation Regular girls are developing really well so far. Growth has been vigorous and healthy, with lots of new side branches forming every day. Both plants look strong and full of energy. At the moment neither plant shows any clear signs of being male. One of them is stretching a bit more aggressively and grows slightly taller than the other, which could be an early indicator, but for now it’s still too early to tell. What really stands out is how perfect this strain is for LST training. The branches grow long, flexible, and very easy to bend without stress, making canopy control super smooth. The structure is opening up beautifully and allows light to reach deeper growth sites. Overall I’m really impressed with the vigor and morphology so far. Now I’m especially excited to see how the flowers and colors will develop later on. 👀🔥

HandsomeTerpz The Spicy Temptation keeps developing beautifully. Despite the unusual single-leaf growth and duckfoot-style leaves, she continues to show healthy vigor and surprisingly wide node spacing. The female plant is becoming noticeably bushier week by week and is developing a very interesting structure. An exciting update: it turns out that the second plant is a male, which means we have the opportunity to produce seeds once again. I'm really looking forward to this project and seeing what traits can be preserved for future generations. Because of this, the Doctors Choice plants had to move into the other tent, which actually works out perfectly since that's where the stronger flowering light is located anyway. Now the big question remains: will the wedding be successful? Stay tuned! 🌱💚

HandsomeTerpz Well, it turns out last week's update was fake news on my end! The plant I was convinced was a male has officially revealed herself to be female after all. That means both Spicy Temptation plants are now girls and fully focused on flower production. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy about that surprise. Both plants are settling nicely into bloom and are starting to stack flowers across all sites. The structure looks promising, internodal spacing is good, and the first real signs of bud development are becoming visible. At this stage they're still building their framework, but the potential is definitely there. I'm especially curious to see how the two phenotypes develop over the coming weeks. Right now they're showing similar vigor, but it'll be interesting to watch differences in flower structure, resin production, aroma, and overall growth pattern as they move deeper into flowering. For now, everything is running smoothly and both ladies seem eager to show what they're capable of. Looking forward to the next update.

HandsomeTerpz Week 8 – Terpyz Spicy Temptation The two ladies are doing very well and are now fully focused on flower development. One of the phenotypes is already putting a lot of energy into building dense buds, and I'm starting to see some beautiful pink and rose-colored tones appearing in the flowers. The other plant is taking a bit more time, but that's completely normal as different phenotypes often develop at different speeds. That said, I suspect the light I'm currently using may be holding them back slightly. The fixture is a budget 400W LumenKing LED, and while it gets the job done, I don't think the spectrum is ideal. My guess is that the far-red portion of the spectrum is lacking, which could be affecting flower development, maturation, and overall performance. Despite that, both plants look healthy, vigorous, and promising. I'm excited to see how they progress over the coming weeks.

HandsomeTerpz The plants have pretty much stopped stretching and are now fully focused on flowering. Unfortunately, this week has been challenging due to extremely high temperatures in the tent, reaching 32–34°C (89–93°F), with relative humidity occasionally climbing up to 70%. Bud development is not progressing as well as I had hoped. I suspect the environmental conditions are playing a major role here, as the setup is currently far from ideal. High temperatures combined with elevated humidity can significantly reduce flower quality and overall performance. One thing that surprised me is how quickly the pistils are turning brown. At first glance it seems a bit early, although heat stress can sometimes accelerate pistil aging. Whether this is simply a genetic trait of the strain or a response to the environmental conditions remains to be seen. For now, I'll keep monitoring the plants closely and see how they develop over the coming weeks. Hopefully they will still put on some weight despite the less-than-perfect conditions. If your temperatures really are sitting at 32–34°C during lights-on, that alone could explain: Reduced bud swelling Faster browning of pistils Increased foxtailing risk Lower terpene production Less dense flowers With 1000+ PPFD and around 1000 ppm CO₂, those temperatures are not automatically disastrous, but only if the plants are otherwise perfectly dialed in with strong irrigation, nutrition, and airflow. At 70% RH, your VPD is also quite low for late flower, which can further slow flower development. How many weeks of flowering does Spicy Temptation still have according to Terpyz? If you tell me the breeder's stated flowering time and whether you're running CO₂ continuously, I can estimate whether the buds are genuinely behind schedule or still within a normal range.

HandsomeTerpz Flower Week 10 is here, and unfortunately there isn’t much happening anymore. 🤔 One of the two plants is only producing very small buds, while the other has developed slightly larger flowers. Even with a solid feeding schedule and an extra PK booster, I haven’t seen the final swell I was hoping for. Not every genetic or every setup performs the way you expect—that’s just part of growing. I’m still curious to see if the buds put on a little more weight and mature over the next few days. Now it’s all about staying patient and making the most of the finish. 🌱💚
