Sprouted on 4/4 in mix of 50% Happy Frog, 50% Ocean Forest with a few handfuls of perlite and sprinkle of Mykos too. Just watering about an ounce or so at a time. Soil was moist when I planted seeds. I use tap water that I treat with vitamin C powder and set out for 24hrs. These were free seeds so I started by using what I had on hand to keep it a cheap grow. Then later I mixed it up...of course 😉

Light coconut water feed with plain water followed by the GH Flora trio at 1/4 strength and silica at 1/4 too. I had not transplanted these into living soil yet and hadn't planned on it so I started light nutes. Then I got the living soil...plans changed.

Tried to FIM some side branches and while the side branchs below went crazy and I love it, I'm still not sure I got 4 tops from it. Think I just oddly topped and not quite did the FIM deal. Still pleased with results as most lower branches have caught up in height all of a sudden on sugar. Sugar lost one of the main branches due to my dog and his tail...but she's now a bush! Accidents happen and it looks to be a good thing for her. Trying to root the broken piece. Sugar and Northern are femimized seeds but Blue is a free from friend seed and waiting to see sex...

Anyone out there able to identify N deficiency on newer leaves or if the lighter color is just the way the strains new growth looks? I worry and have the habit of wanting to do more more more which I am trying to stop. Trying organic. Should I roll on, feed N, or top dress?

I don’t see any Nitrogen deficiency in these plants at all. The lighter green is just the new growth coming in these looks pretty healthy to myself. If you have nitrogen deficiency the older leaves towards the bottom of the plant will start to turn yellow, wilt and die off. This is due to the plant prioritizing new growth over old growth and is robing nitrogen from lower growth to support the new growth. Just be carful you don’t want to over due it and get into nitrogen toxicity. I myself am doing living organic soil and have red wigglers in my pots to break down organic fertilizers. Good luck!

We have had highs in the 90's and now cloudy 80's here but all 3 are growing and looking healthy. I did top dress them with more ocean forest and living soil mix because they'd all lost about an inch or so in the pots. Blue I am pretty sure is a girl!! My eyes aren't amazing and the parts are so little I'm still not 100%. I have her in a fabric pot and didn't want the hot ground to bug her so I set her in another pot. If she is a girl, I'll probably transplant her to that pot. Since they got the top dress I'm just watering with plain water, then silica water, then coconut water. Repeat. Trying to keep them good through the weird weather swings and gearing up for the heat next week. 100's are coming. They dried out quicker this week so I just lightly watered as needed and didn't drown them. Any suggestions?

Lots of heat and they've been drying out every other day. So I've been doing compost tea, coconut water, water, silica water. Repeat. No probs here. Blue Dream is scarying me...maybe seeing tiny balls. Free seed so oh well but stilling hoping for girl and waiting until they're little bigger. I've been hoping this long wait meant a girl and the old wives tale about crossed stipules...that hasn't always panned out for me. Well see. I also have been putting a few ladybugs out in the plants a few mornings a week. Keeping things clean and pest free thus far. Otherwise just cruising along in veg 👍

Keeping up with compost tea (made with Nature's Living Soil concentrate and molasses), water, silica water, coconut water watering schedule. They seem happy and healthy and heading into flower with little preflowers popping out all over. I'm gonna chop ol' blue dream. One branch has male and female preflowers. I wish I could just cut that branch but I don't want to mess up my other two feminized seed plants so buh bye blue! Also happy to see some praying mantis friends around! Weather is gonna get back to 80's for a week. Shall be a nice break for these babes. Any ideas or recommendations for what to feed as they transition to flower?

**Finally measured plants with measuring tape. I kept guessing and was told I was way off. I was. They're taller than I thought. Ignore prior heights i guess** Same water/tea/amendments routine. Still green and lush. Took off a few lower leaves. I also sprayed the fans with neem oil. Heard that lime or lemon and cloves can help ward off flys and pests so giving it a shot. I was out of town for a week and had my mom 😂 take care of them for me. She did well! I feel like I should be doing more for them but I think that's the old nutes schedules and such that I'm used to tinkering with nagging me. They look good and appear happy so maybe it's time to smoke and kick back 👍

So I'm out of the soil concentrate i was using to brew tea. It was higher in N than I need now anyway. I tried ordering some Roots Organic flowering food but it was lost by Amazon 😐 and they sent Botanicare pure blend pro bloom for soil as a replacement...its made with organic and natural ingredients so I hope that is ok. Otherwise seems like a lot of good stuff and higher P and K for flower 👌. All is well otherwise. Having fun with pics

***UPDATE- I went for it and transplanted these ladies. Yes in flower. They really needed it to keep going. Not ideal but we were able to break the clay pots they were in and barely mess with the plant. It was so bound up with barely any dirt. Of course some roots were messed with during transplant (even purposely to break up root ball a bit) but neither plant drooped or has had any issue since repotting. I know this was too late to transplant and not recommended but with care, if its really needed, it's possible 👍 Well buds are progressing and looking nice...but within the last 10 days or so I've starting getting yellow fans. It could be temp stress as we've swung from the 100s to now 80s and cloudy with 100s on the way. It could be nutes/ph but I've been careful and feeding them the same way they have enjoyed. I think this time it's them being or almost being root bound 😭 this is my 2nd year growing outside and these two plants took off and grew way bigger than I expected. I also let them veg for way longer than last year's outdoor crop (sprouted beginning of April). I should have transplanted once more before July. I'm stuck now I think because they're flowering and in clay pots. The top soil is very dense with roots and I've tilled it a bit with my fingers to help water penetrate a bit better. This is frustrating because all was going well but hopefully babying them will see these girls all the way thru. Any ideas or tips for this kind of issue?? Help me out if so. Better go bigger pot or in ground next year. Live and learn and all that but dammit. Dropped the coconut water for now as it's the buggiest month here and ants are lurking around. I still add ladybugs to the garden every once in awhile to help clean up 👍

So the babes have new homes which was scary but both responded well! No issues that I see...we had a few crazy hot days so we threw a shade over them, it was just too damn hot! Got my little bug army keeping things cleaned up ( ladybugs and mantis). I've also been giving them a coconut water sip here and there. Keep growin' buds!!

**Update- After spraying the lower fans, stems, and soil with GrowSafe, I've seen no issues. Everyone is healthy and green. I am going to go forward with an overall spray at the same 2% solution rate. I hope this knocks down any pest issue for good! So I've noticed ants in the topsoil and "honeydew" secretions on some fans...looked around and followed ants up a branch right to a Scale bug. Shoot. So I looked all over plants and found just a few more. I decided to use an horticulture oil treatment. It's called GrowSafe and it states you can use it from clone to harvest. I contacted the company about spraying on my buds explaining where am I in flower. They gave me good directions about the amount to use and how and assured me it was fine on flowering plants. So I mixed it up and sprayed the soil, all lower stems and some low fans. At night. Im going to give it a few days to make sure plants still look good and if so Im gonna spray them all over. I have gotten off the few scales I've found. Not many thankfully. Never had this before, what a gross pest. My good guys are still around and the oil shouldn't harm them. Oh outdoor growing...it's a long adventure! Otherwise all seems well. Buds are fattening up and im getting more whiffs of their scent 👍

Not much to report. Gonna stop silica soon and bringing coconut water back. Few more weeks for sugar black rose and probably longer for northern. My pal mantis is around and the growsafe spray seems to have really helped out with bugs! Hoping for a nice easy week of bud fattening!

Defoliated both gals a bit, mainly Northern Soul who has always been incredibly leafy. Northern also is about a week or two behind Sugar on flowering, just took longer to start. Im keeping her on the Botanicare food a bit longer. Sugar looks to me like she'll be ready for harvest sooner, like a few weeks. I'm going to drop the Botanicare and just do water and coconut water for her until harvest. Weather is finally cooling off too so hoping Sugar starts getting some color...

Weather here the next few days is all over the place! Today 99 and windy. By Monday...rain 😪 gonna get the pop up tent out again. Got a new jeweler's loupe. Still not great with it but I like checking trichomes. Also adding some ladybugs to garden every few days trying to keep things nice and clean. All is well with plants. Just waiting...and watching 😳 few more weeks for northern soul maybe 10 days for sugar but we shall see!

Well i haven't been great on filling this out exactly every 7 days and these gals are more in week 10 of flower. I've only been giving them water and a very light coconut water here and there. Buds seemed to have finished the last spurt of white hairs and are browning up. This weekend is gonna be windy and rainy so i plan on cutting them inside in a few days...hella excited! Very happy i didn't see caterpillars this year outside!!

Grew well! Really took off after topping. Big strong stems and big nice buds! Not very smelly while growing and after drying but smells fruity and earthy when i grind some up. Sticky but not terribly much. Nice smoke and good mellowing high. I dont have a scale...but i got five big Bell jars full.

After drying theres a faint smell but it smells fruity and earthy when i grind some up. Sticky but not terribly much. Nice smoke and good mellowing high. I dont have a scale...but i got five big Bell jars full. I put most in a sun tea size jar just because it looked kinda funny to me. A huge ass jar of weed 😂👍 i wet trim the fans and the easy to get sugar leaves and then hung branches in cardboard boxes that i taped closed for 4 days with some small air holes. I have a low humidity issue and cardboard helps slow drying down a bit and keep humidity around 40 ish in the box. Then i opened boxs and started checking and 2 days later i trimmed more and jarred. Now burping and tasting! Not bad so far bit will get better with curing.

Northern Soul really is easy to grow. This was the 2nd summer growing her and both plants grew fast and tall. Good amount of buds on the smaller side but sticky and nice smell. So many fans on her...definitely should have defoliated more.

@sdelapena85, glad you liked it! I always cross compare different sites because as we know the internet can be good or can be very bad lol just keep that in mind! Another word of advise get yourself a note pad and write everything you do to the plants down so you always have a reference to fall back on incase something happens and you can always check back on what was done because we all forget things from time to time!

Well at that point I hadn't yet transplanted to the living soil. I was given a 1lb bag of Nature's Living Soil Concentrate and followed the directions about mixing with soil. I used 1.5 cu ft Ocean Forest, .75 cu ft Mother Earth Coco Perlite, little Happy Frog I had left and some Mykos mixed with the concentrate. I sprinkled more Mykos right where roots went. Filled my three containers and transplanted outside on 5/5. At that point I dropped the Flora Trio and Ph up/down because its bad for the microbes and such. Got another bag of living soil to top dress eventually and to bubble tea with. Also been giving them coconut water and silica. Everyone is happy so liking it so far. Don't know if I am dping 100% right haha just learning on this one. Thinking about kelp meal and guanos and earthworm casings but there's so much research to do!! Cheers!
