TerpToad This Alaskan Do-Si-Dos will be one of my two fast flowering photoperiodic plants growing in some DIY wick systems on my balcony this season. I chose this strain for its short flowering time and the Do-Si-Dos genetic, which I know I like.
I started three seeds to give away two of them. They started out quite thin and tall, so I upped light and ventilation. They will stay in my seedling tent for the first weeks before moving outdoors.

TerpToad First week of veg is over and the seedlings start to enter veg. I was anxious if they would perform ok in my spiderfarmer seedling tent (which works extremly well for veggies), but by now they start to strenghten up. I had to use some wires to stop them from tipping over the first couple of days.

TerpToad I chose one of the Alaskan Do-Si-Dos and gifted the other two to friends. The remaining plant is now in the care of a plantsitter and will be moved outside after I returned from my holodays in ten days.

TerpToad The Alaskan Do Si Dos was staying with a plant sitter for two weeks and didnt grow much during this time. A week ago I transplanted her into her final selfwatering pot on my balcony and she is showing great growth since. I added 30 grams of BioGrow and water by hand until she roots through the whole soil.

TerpToad Since the Alaskan DoSiDos shows strong and vital new growth, I decided to do some training. I removed most of the big fanleaves to support branching and took out some branches facing to the wall or some that were simply to low.
I start using the wick watering system to have them drinking on their own by next week when a heatwave will hit us.

TerpToad While there is a new lifetime heat record in my country, the Alaskan DoSiDos is taking in every bit of sun she can get and turns it into strong growth. The wick system works fine and my plants dont show any signs of stress despite the temperature.
I continue taking out branches and fanleaves to maximise airflow and prime budsites.
