Martin82 Today I trimmed them down a bit. It was necessary to keep them low-profile, as I live in a security-sensitive area with regular police patrols and civil services around. I hope it's enough to keep them below the fence line during the stretch.
Oh, and the blackbird family is doing well! The parents are making regular support flights in and out of the garden. It's 3 or 4 chicks; I don't want to get too close and possibly disturb them. They should start to run around the garden next week, perhaps Iโll be able to get an exact count by then.

Martin82 It has been pretty hot here over the last few weeks, but they're doing great! The first pistils are showing up now, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the first real bud sites. ๐
