Skunk #1

Misfitgrower Week 1 uneventful. Plants germinated without issue and are growing as expected.

Misfitgrower I fell behind on logging. Have a male and female which I will be pollinating a bench for seed stock and saving pollen for future projects. Very easy to grow. Plant smells good looks good and needs very little maintenance.

Misfitgrower Week 6 all is well. I kept the male to pull pollen a dumped it on accident :*( The male and female looked identical. There is no doubt to what you are growing with both the Skunk 1 and Haze, they look exactly how you picture them. She smells much better than I thought. Skunk is there for sure and you can smell it from a long ways away but a stem rub gives a sweeter smell. Not like candy sweet, maybe like a floral sweet. I’m sure it will develop more as we go and I can be more accurate. The buds are bigger than I was expecting. Really she looks like a breed standard Indica. She is very easy to grow. Low watering and nutrient needs. The only stress I saw was when I was feeding her with cold water. She would droop for a day. I now adjust the water to be in the 65-70f range and no issues.

Misfitgrower She only grew an inch so stretch is over. Her colas are fattening up nicely. She is a short and bushy plant with a pleasing structure. She is currently doing her best imitation of a cactus :) She is continuing to have a sweeter smell as she grows. Currently I would say she has a juice fruit/skunk smell going. It is very pleasing. I grew this cultivar for the nostalgia but I may have to put her in permanent rotation! We still have several weeks to go so we shall see.

Misfitgrower Ok a few issues but she handled them well. First I got lockout in a few of my plants. I flushed her with 700ppm until the runoff was good then kept her there. She was a little light colored so I bumped her to 850ish ppm. She is starting her fade so really any damage is done if there is any. The bigger issue was a light leak where my plants had 2 days at 18/6 due to a smart plug I plugged into that had an old schedule on it. None of the plants seemed to care but we will see. I am keeping an eye out for herms. She is starting to smell exactly how I hoped, Skunky Patchouli. It zaps me right back to the 80s!

Misfitgrower Nothing new this week. Steady as she goes. Her buds are beautiful. She has a strong smell. I can’t really explain it because it is blended but distinct. Her buds are more dense than I see on average. She is starting to frost up. It isn’t a modern full on icing but it is respectable. I’m interested to see where she ends up.

Misfitgrower Things are moving along. The only excitement was one of the limbs snapped off. The buds are starting to foxtail but that’s from the load of stress she has been under this grow. Her buds are fat and very very dense. The trichomes don’t look horrible so it is a nice early sample. My guess is we have 2 weeks left to chop.
