majklsoft Hi and welcome to my 3rd grow! I picked this Mephisto freebie for this round. Somebody on Reddit called this cross “Luke Sourwalker” and I like it! For the first time, I germinated directly in a pre-soaked fully saturated 12 L pot. Then I left for a business trip and didn’t water or touch it for cca 11 days. Kudos to my wife for refilling the humidifier!

majklsoft Watered the top layer lightly on day 11 (about 700 ml), while forcing the bottom roots to search the remaining water from the initial full pot soak, aiming for better root expansion. So far she isn’t the fastest, nor the slowest. Let’s see how she performs. She is an F1 cross, and these are known for vigorous growth. Supposed to be an interesting sativa indica hybrid..

majklsoft Week 3 is behind us. I’m letting her grow naturally so far. Compared to previous grows, the internodes are much longer. Probably because I’m keeping the lights further away, while maintaining the same DLI as in previous runs. It could also be genetics. On day 20, she showed first preflowers, so week 4 will be the first flowering week. On day 21, I noticed early tip burn on new growth — maybe the first round of nutrients was too strong (for the first time I’ve been a bit more heavy-handed as I underfed the previous runs) or the DLI too high for this one. I’ll observe it more closely in the next few days. Looking forward the stretch in upcoming days!

majklsoft stretch phase has started & I hope it will last for atleast one more week. I did a gentle & simple LST to even the canopy as for my space and my light the christmas tree structure wouldnt be too efficient. So, lets go! 🤩

majklsoft so instead of a power stretch the plant went in a 10 days drooping mode. Reason was probably too drastic drybacks resulting in root damage and PH drifts...

majklsoft as described last week. 7-10 lasting droopines ended up with severe deficiencies and stunted stretch :( Stucking was happening mostly just on the main bud...

majklsoft another rough week, but she is recovering. unfortunately the damage has been done :(

majklsoft she was moved from ten under window under pink (Red-blue) 50W light. she seems to be liking it. but mostly the watering regime is stable now. leafs are nicely recovered getting the healthy green again, finally... it is visible already that the buds will be on a leafy side.

majklsoft Hey there growmies! Gothic Remake just released, so there hasn’t really been time to keep a proper diary, folks 😂 Anyway, a lot has changed around my little gal. I had to kick her out of the tent, so she now dwells by the window. I bought her a cheap 50W blue/red spectrum light — around 20 euros — and she seems to like it. Observing the previous weeks, the recovery is something unbelievable. how she got green again.. nice job little lady As you can see, the buds are a bit on the leafy side. I’m not sure if I messed something up along the way, or if it’s just genetics. From what I’ve researched, Mephisto’s Grape, which is in her genes, is often quite leafy. She smells sour, grapey, and sometimes has hints of Hubba Bubba bubble gum. The main bud is huge though — at least for 50W and my “skills” 🤓 I wish you all a super-trooper summer grow 🤞🏻🙏🌱🌱

majklsoft GrapeWalkerKush × SourWalker — "Carrie" Setup: 50 W LED Harvest: Day 82 Yield: 29 g dry trimmed buds + 9 g frosty sugar leaves = 38 g usable material Efficiency: 0.58 g/W trimmed buds "Carrie" had a very promising and healthy start, but the crucial preflower/early-flower period was rough. Prolonged drooping/root-zone watering issues hit exactly during the stretch window. The result was almost no stretch and weak early stacking — probably the biggest loss of yield potential in the entire grow. She eventually recovered surprisingly well. Flower development resumed, buds filled out considerably during the final weeks and resin production was good. The main downside remained the unusually leafy and foxtailed bud structure / low calyx-to-leaf ratio. Despite the troubled middle of the grow, she finished healthy enough and produced respectable flowers. 29 g of trimmed bud under only 50 W after losing much of the stretch is a solid recovery, although clearly below the plant's potential. The standout was the aroma/flavour: unusually fresh and cooling — peppermint/mint-like, slightly herbal and spicy, with a subtle sweetness. For my wife it even gives an almost Asian-herb / Thai-food association. Verdict: Not the biggest harvest and definitely not a textbook grow, but a great example of how much an autoflower can recover. Carrie sacrificed stretch, stacking and probably a substantial part of her potential yield, yet still delivered 29 g of good flower from 50 W with decent frost and a genuinely unusual fresh minty-sweet flavour.
