Kushycat Here we goโ€”the outdoor gardening season has begun ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒž The seedlings will be started indoors for about 14 days ๐Ÿก๐ŸŒฟ, so donโ€™t be surprised to see them in the tent at first. Iโ€™ve chosen four early varieties: three from Delicious Seeds ๐ŸŒฟ and one from World of Seeds ๐ŸŒ (see other posts). Iโ€™m using Terra Preta soil from Frux, which Iโ€™ve inoculated with INOQ mycorrhiza for balcony and garden plants. In one of the pictures, you can already see how the mycelium has started to colonize the soil ๐Ÿ„. I let the seeds germinate in small jars and then planted them into their new home for the first few days. Once theyโ€™ve acclimated to outdoor conditions ๐ŸŒค๏ธ, theyโ€™ll be moved outside into 19-liter geotextile pots ๐ŸŒฟ. Sadly Lemon Gazzy is not listes yet. @Delicious Seeds

Kushycat They seem to be doing well so far ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ˜Š At first, I was a bit worried about the low RH, but since thereโ€™s still a flowering plant in the tent, itโ€™s manageable for now. Over the next 2โ€“3 weeks, Iโ€™ll gradually acclimate them to outdoor conditions and move them outside little by little ๐ŸŒค๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ I water them as needed from both the bottom and the top, being careful not to overwater them in order to encourage strong and healthy root growth ๐Ÿ’ง I use tap water that has been sitting at room temperature for at least 24 hours, and every second watering gets a small dose of CalMag โš—๏ธ The stems were a bit weak in the beginning, so I supported them lightly to prevent them from falling over or snapping ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ˜„ Right now, a gentle breeze is helping strengthen their stems so theyโ€™ll be able to support heavy flowers later on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒธ

Kushycat Everything is going well so far. I think sheโ€™s developing just as well as her sisters of the same age have up to this point. The roots are already peeking out of the bottom of the pot, which surprises me. Although the pot isnโ€™t huge at 1.3 liters, Iโ€™ve never seen such rapid root growth before in the 0.5-liter pots I used for starting them. The pots seem to be working exactly as intended, and I can now fully share the enthusiasm . Furthermore, I think the mycorrhizal preparation I used for the first time is also contributing to this. Unfortunately, I have a few fungus gnats in the tentโ€”not a major infestation, but still annoying, and their larvae arenโ€™t good for the roots either. Iโ€™ve hung up yellow sticky traps and treated them with neem oil. I suspect the fungus gnats are coming from the Neudorff seed-starting mix, since they only appeared after I introduced the zucchini plants into the tent. I thought Neudorff would be more careful about things like that. From now on, Iโ€™ll only use Frux seedling soilโ€”Iโ€™ve used it before, and the small plants are in it as well. Even though the larvae are probably already in the zucchini soil, I also watered the small Kushy Cadets with a neem solution as a precaution. I actually meant to keep this shortโ€”I donโ€™t think most people will read this far anyway. ๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜› 17.05.2026 Being the klutz that I am, I went a little overboard with the watering again, and the day before yesterday I noticed the leaves drooping slightly. Well, long story short, the lower part is looking a bit pale and yellowish now. I loosened the top layer of soil a little, and itโ€™s slowly drying out again. For now, Iโ€™m just going to leave them alone and keep my hands off. I think itโ€™s only minor damage, and they should look better again in a few days. Iโ€™m hoping for good weather this week so they can harden off properly. After that, theyโ€™ll still have plenty of time to grow big and strong before flowering in the garden this fall.

Kushycat As I mentioned in last weekโ€™s report, I unfortunately ended up with water damage on top of my roof damage. xD No, seriously โ€” I meant well, as Iโ€™ve done too many times before, and it really makes you feel like an idiot when you keep making the same mistake over and over againโ€ฆ Well, theyโ€™ve already recovered somewhat, but of course I still couldnโ€™t keep my hands to myself and ended up pruning her and her sisters, removing the drowned leaves in the process. I know that might sound a bit drastic, but basically I was the deer in the forest, and now sheโ€™s developed a strong survival instinct and will come back with full force in a few days. ๐Ÿ˜น Like her sisters, sheโ€™ll still have a long vegetative phase outdoors before flowering begins, and I think by the next update weโ€™ll finally meet again in the outdoor garden.

Kushycat The flood victims have recovered quite well and are now back outside, although theyโ€™re still under cover with plenty of light but no direct sunlight. After all the water and the stress from pruning, I wanted to give them a little time to recover. Over the next few days, Iโ€™ll be looking for a better spot where they can get more direct sun and wonโ€™t have to stretch as much. They, along with their sisters, have already been toppedโ€”see the previous update for details. Iโ€™m also thinking about bending the main stem a bit further. Iโ€™ve come up with a plan and just hope I donโ€™t damage them in the process. ๐Ÿ˜… They wonโ€™t be staying in their current pots for much longer. Soon theyโ€™ll be transplanted into 19-liter geotextile pots and given their dose of Biotabs to help them settle into their new home.

Kushycat Iโ€™d say theyโ€™ve really bounced back nicely after the water damage. Theyโ€™re a little stretched out, but thatโ€™s okay. The spot where they were standing wasnโ€™t exactly ideal, but my main goal was just for them to recover and look vibrant againโ€”and that worked. Now theyโ€™re heading into the big setup, probably tomorrow. To get back on track, thereโ€™ll likely be a new update a bit earlier than usual since Iโ€™m running slightly behind. Iโ€™m happy for now, and itโ€™s great to see them growing and thriving again. Now they can really get huge. I might supercropp all four of them. Somehow it feels like their growth is practically screaming for it.๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿคฃ What do you thinkโ€”any other ideas? Topping is definitely going to happen either way.

Kushycat ๐ŸŒฑโœจ I repotted the ladiesโ€™ group and, just like their older neighbor, fed them some BioTabs Guerilla Tabs. Each of the sisters ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ received about 3.5 tabs per 19 liters of fresh Terra Preta soil. Hopefully the soil wonโ€™t get too hot ๐Ÿ”ฅ, but I stayed within the dosage recommended by BioTabs just to be on the safe side ๐Ÿ‘. I also have some Guerilla Juice ?๐ŸŒฟ in the cupboard for future feedings, along with a few other goodies ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜„. Yesterday, we had a severe storm โ›ˆ๏ธ with hail ๐ŸŒจ๏ธ and all the usual drama, but they came through completely unscathed ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒฑ. Tomorrow they'll be moving once again ๐Ÿšš, and after that they'll have a south-facing spot โ˜€๏ธ with sunlight from morning until late afternoon. Hopefully they'll be very happy in their new home ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿก.

Kushycat Hi everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐ŸŒฑ Sorry for the late update, but unfortunately I've had a lot on my plate lately. On top of that, I may have a fracture in my already injured foot. ๐Ÿ˜… Hopefully I'll know more soon. Well... I finally found some time and, more importantly, the motivation to write an update again. To be honest, the whole situation has been pretty tough on me lately, and I've been struggling a bit mentally. But hey... life goes on somehow. ๐Ÿ’š Oh, and it looks like the woman is gone too, so I guess I'm single again. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™ˆ Now to the important part! ๐ŸŒฟ As you can see, I think the girls are doing extremely well. They handled all the storms like absolute champions. ๐ŸŒง๏ธโ›ˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช I also had a small thrips infestation, but it was quickly taken care of with Spruzit Spray. It's environmentally friendly and doesn't harm bees or our other little garden friends, which is really important to me. ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿƒ I always try to avoid harsh chemicals whenever possible. Technically, this is already Week 9, but I'm going to stick with my weekly update schedule and hopefully stay on track with a new update every seven days from now on. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ“…๐ŸŒฑ Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're all having an amazing grow! ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ

Kushycat Oh yeah, I'm late with the update again, but you guys already know how it goes... struggling every day. ๐Ÿ˜น As you can see, the girls are doing pretty well. They were just a little thirsty when I took the pictures, and they're hungrier than I expected, so they've started eating themselves. I guess it's because I used a little less than the recommended BioTabs dosage. That's why I gave them some Guerilla Juice last Fridayโ€”see below. Normally, you feed it once a week, but if they're still this hungry after the last feeding, I'll give them another dose a day or two earlier. Other than that, I'm really happy with how they're doing. My brother and I also put new plastic sheeting on my little greenhouse. ๐Ÿ˜Š There's not much space left in there, though. If it gets too cramped, I'll move them to another spot or just place them next to the little greenhouse. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

Kushycat Oh well, what can I say... a little late again. ๐Ÿ˜น No more promises, but I'll at least try to stay on schedule this week. I've been pretty busy with my foot and my emotional lifeโ€”you know how it is, same as always. My foot isn't broken, which is good, but it still hurts, which isn't. ๐Ÿ˜… So, it's back to the doctor again. Yeah... it gets pretty boring after a while. Now, back to the main topic! To my great joy, I'm happy to announce that I somehow managed to join the BioTabs team! A huge and very heartfelt thank you to Mia for making this possible. ๐Ÿ’š The ladies in the small tent each got one more BioTab, placed about 5 cm deep into the soil, along with a little Myrco in a small hole, all watered in with Bactrex. Oh, and I also added some Silicon Flash as a top dressing. I still had some leftover soil from the last run, so I topped up the pots because the soil had settled again over time. The ladies are absolutely devouring the nutrients, so they can definitely use everything that's in there right now. They should be heading into bloom very soonโ€”in fact, I'd say the first signs of pre-flower are already showing. ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒธ

Kushycat Hello, fellow plant lovers! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ˜„ The journey continuesโ€”no reins, no rails... just rolling with it. xD We're now clearly in pre-flower mode, which makes me really happy. ๐ŸŒธ The ladies are all getting pretty hungry, but the Sugar Black Rose is by far the hungriest of the bunch. ๐Ÿ˜… At first, I wasn't planning on using Boom Boom Spray, but she's burning through nutrients so fast that I've decided to give her a doseโ€”and while I'm at it, the other ladies in the little greenhouse will get some too. Shortly after that, they'll get a feeding with PK 13/14 together with some Guerilla Juice. My goal this year is to stay ahead of any nutrient deficiencies instead of chasing them later. Fingers crossed! ๐Ÿคž๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

Kushycat Hi everyone, Unfortunately, Iโ€™ve been having some issues with the site and havenโ€™t been able to post any updatesโ€”sometimes I couldnโ€™t even access the site. I think it has something to do with the updates. In the end, clearing my browser cache did the trick. If anyone else is having similar problems, this might be worth a try. But now, on to the actual topic, which is Weeeeed. ๐Ÿ˜ Outdoor: Light distance: ~149.6 million km Light source: The big one in the sky ๐Ÿ˜‚ So far this year, Iโ€™ve been a happy grower. If you disregard the minor teething problems I caused myself, there havenโ€™t been any disasters or anything like thatโ€”unlike last year. The only issues were a few thrips at the beginning, when I moved the plants outside, and now another minor infestation. I used some Spruzit again, but that was the last time Iโ€™ll use it. Itโ€™s insect-friendly and pretty harmless, but Iโ€™d rather not have it on the flowers. Silicium Flash stopped the fading, and a few days ago I watered them with Bactrex. Yesterday, the girls got a little Guerrilla Juice. Flowering is now in full swing, and next week Iโ€™ll use my secret weapon: Bio PK 5-8. ๐Ÿ˜ Iโ€™m really happy, and itโ€™s good for my soul to spend some time with the girls and take care of them a bit. Happy growing, everyone! ๐ŸŒฑ

Time flies! Especially when you are dealing with a lot of health related things and trying to manage everyday life. I hope you are feeling a bit better lately. The plants are looking good. I wonder if they already moved to their new pots. I'm wishing lots of sunshine for you and for them!

@India_Calcoen, Hello, well, things are so-so. The heat is actually doing me quite a bit of goodโ€”since itโ€™s dry and hot, I donโ€™t notice my stupid arthritis as much. Iโ€™m still in pain, though, and Iโ€™m very disappointed in someone, but oh well, Iโ€™m not giving up. Somehow, life just goes onโ€”or I guess it has to. Iโ€™ve repotted all the plants. Iโ€™ll take some pictures later and put them in their final spotsโ€”then I think theyโ€™ll get a big growth spurt in the next few days. Unfortunately, I seem to have a few thrips on one plant. Tomorrow Iโ€™ll spray it with neem oil or something, and then it should be fine again.
