Soaked four seeds and all four sprouted. The fourth sprouted a couple of days later then the others and is growing noticeably slowly. I will watch it and may move it to the back yard instead.
Put the seeds in peat pods then moved them to 500ml styrofoam cups.
Previous seeds have streached a lot at sprouting so this time I moved the light down to 18" above to reduce streach, seemed to work.
Three of the plants are doing well and one is a little behind. I left the one in a styrofoam cup and will repot a little later. I might move this plant to the backyard and leave for a longer veg.
Increased the nutes from 1/8 strength to 1/4. I might micro top this week.
Thanks for looking.
Veg is going ok, the fourth plant that started off late and slow is not growing well. Still have not potted it up as it is still small, seems to be stunted. This one will be left behind.
Turned the heat off in the house and the basement is colder. Only 73 degrees during the day, the LED's do not give off much heat. Added a small heater to bring the temperature up to 77.
Thanks for looking.
Added Cal-Max to the nutrient mix and increased the veg amount. Also did a foliar spray this week, plants responded well and seemed to like it. I think I will keep doing this.
Potted up to ten gln. Fabric pots and recycled some of the soil from a previous grow. I ammended it with sheep manure, some fresh topsoil and perlite.
Topped a couple of the plants mid week, let's see how that goes.
Thanks for looking
Did some mico topping on some plants and the others got the FIM treatment. Working on the canopy for flower.
Added molasses to the nutrient mix and they seem to like it, I guess. I say I guess as they do not react in a negative way.
I figure I have another five weeks of vegetation left until room opens up in the flower room, they should be good size by then.
Starting to run low on nutrients and thinking about changing. Not foe any reason jist thinkimg about it as I first tried organic as it was one solution and seemed easier. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Nice growth this week, a big stretch.
Let the pots dry out a bit more than I normally do. Usually I water every three days and let them go five. They looked fine, pots were light and no drooping though. All good. Did a seaweed foliar spray during this time, i am liking this and will keep doing it.
Plants are a good size so I might put them into the flower room early on the edge of the lights. I could leave them there until some space opens up. Given the previous plants I have grown on the edges, this will be fine.
Thanks for looking.
First week of flower and got a good stretch going on. Plants are on the edge of the light waiting for some room to open up. I rotate the plants to even up the light.
Stopped the veg nutrients and started the bloom.
Plant streached out a bit more this week not sure if it is over yet. Flower is coming along and the buds are starting to form. Now the fun part starts. I'm sure everyone loves the flower phase.
Did a defoliation, seemed to work the first time so I will keep doing it.
Took two of the three plants an put them in a tent. There is no space in the flower room and did not want to compromise the grow. I guess I was a little over anxious and poped these seeds a bit early. No big deal, a tent is always good.
It will be interesting to see the difference between the two areas flowering. This will come down to cheap led fixture vs 1100 true watts of the timber grow vero 29 3000k cobbs. Fornthe cheap led fixtures I have 2- 1600 watt, a 1000 watt and a 600 watt. Ok this is the advertised watts and not true watts. I don't know the true watts either.
I have to say they seem to work great for veg and thats what I used them for until I ran out of room.
I am hoping the reflective tent will help.
Any comments or tips are greatly appreciated.
Happy growing.
Cheers!
Again, added silicate to this grow too, probably should have done only one first to see how it does. Time will tell.
Did some super cropping on this grow too, seems to work.
The plant under to cobbs seems to be doing slightly better. Not really sure as they are just over a week longer into flower. I am tracking this and will know more at the end.
Buds are building and a pretty sight.
Going to water less and more frequently, lets see how that goes. Also during flower I am not going to let them dry out as much. Maybe half way, as best I can and then water again.
Cheers
Had to rearrange everything and start using the 5 x 5 tent for all the flowering. Put the 11 Timber Grow Vero cobbs set up in the tent. Had to customize the frame to fit it in. Customize is code work for cut up. Did not change the cobb spacing at all, just trimmed the overall frame so it is slightly smaller. They fit good. The tent is bright. Had to install a 6" exhaust fan to the tent to suck all the warm air out. This gets dumped outside without a charcoal filter, haha. I can smell it in the backyard, I wonder if anyone is going to say something. Who cares though, haha.
Installed two small fans above the lights to cool the cobbs and a larger floor fan to keep the air moving around in the tent. The end result is good however the temperature is still slightly higher than I want. I will work on ways to lower it.
Plants are doing good, smell is stronger now. The smell is great too. Buds are bulking up and really frosty.
The silicate seems to be working fine, Ifeed this every watering. The plants seem to love nutrient, I keep adding it and watching this closely. The one plant is starting to get orange hairs, this is the one that was always under the cobbs. The other two are a week or two behind.
Cheers.
The one plant that has always been under the cobbs is a couple of weeks ahead. They are all fattening up and the smell is great. Humidity in the tent has dropped, this is due to the outside weather changing and running a 6" fan 24/7.
I may start the flush on the one plant, will decide in a few days.
Cheers
Flushed one for a week and now into darkness. The last two that started flower under the cheap LEDs need a bit longer. They will need another three weeks.
The one plant looks really pretty and smells great. The upside is I don't have to trim them all up at the same time. Looking forward the the cure.
Cheers
I chopped one down after two and a half days of darkness. It is haning in the basement bathroom with the exhaust fan running 24/7. The room is 57% humidity and 69 degrees. Looks like it is drying fine.
The last two are coming along fine and look like they may need another few weeks as I may let them get more amber tric's. The smell is great. Temperatures have been high amd humidity low, plants look great so I'm not going to worry about it.
I got the great idea to defoliate most of the fan leaves. Thinking about it a bit more it may not have been a great idea. One thing for sure we will see what it does.
This is the last week of nutes and I am starting the flush. If more pistols pop out I will change my strategy.
Any input is always appreciated.
Cheers.
Last week of flower amd flushed for the week. Buds are all cloudy and trady to go. Put them in darkness and will leave them there for five days. I have another plant drying and trying to stagger trimming.
First plant dryed for 14 days and was about right. Trimmed it up and it is now and curing. Been in the jar for two days and humidity is 57%, good for me.
Waiting for the cure now. It was kinda nice to do a stagged harvest so all the trimming did not have to be done at once. I think I will try to do it this way again.
The final weight for the first plant was 102.78. The quality of the buds is the best so far. Not sure if that is attributed to luck, strain or growing is getting better. Time will tell.
Next post the harvest.
Cheers
