Hey Toronto416! Putting them in a glass of water is a great way to "wake up" older seeds by softening the shell, but you don't want to leave them in there too long. Once you see a tiny white taproot starting to peek out (the "pop"), it's time to move them into your Happy Frog soil. If they stay submerged for more than 24-48 hours after popping, they can actually drown from a lack of oxygen. If they haven't popped after 24 hours in the water, go ahead and move them to the soil anyway the moisture they've soaked up should be enough to get them moving!
