Biobotaniker98 That went very quickly. The "GunSmoke" from Sensi Seeds went from seeds directly into the moist soil substrate, and after 3 days, they started to show themselves within a few hours.
Their will to live is just as high as my motivation to work with them. I'm already looking forward to our time together.
Stay tuned. From now on, things will go fast, and the worst is over. 👌🙏

Biobotaniker98 She's doing better and better, getting a bit leggy but perfectly healthy. I'm curious to see how it develops; after 7 days, I even had to switch to the 3L pot.

Biobotaniker98 The GunSmoke from the CCG project with Sensi Seeds is a novelty from the house itself. So, I’m taking you along on this exploration in this diary.
Not much is known about the GunSmoke, so let's find out 👌
Interestingly, the first seed germinated first out of the three ladies (which gives us a success rate of 100%).
It was germinated directly in the substrate (BioBizz Allmix), and after just 7 days, it was able to move into a 3L Airpod with Coco substrate due to its exploding root growth. (To avoid any mistakes during germination in Coco, I always germinate in pre-fertilized soil and then transplant, as I mainly grow in Coco.)
Now, another 7 days later, the 3L Airpod is rooted enough that it’s already coming out from the bottom (see pictures).
Regarding the technical data:
Currently, it’s at a daytime temperature of 29-32°C and a humidity level of 70-80%, more than just happy. I’m consciously keeping the EC low at 1.6. There’s also a circulation fan inside, but no exhaust to maintain the "wellness" conditions.
Since it’s already showing exponential growth, it will be topped in the coming days and prepared for the big tent.
Stay tuned so you don’t miss anything 👌🌿?🧘♂️

Biobotaniker98 And another week with this wonderful lady.
Now she has landed in the big pot with some slight starting difficulties (the substrate unfortunately wasn't flushed properly and thus caused an over-fertilization for 3 days. After several flushes, she was finally able to recover.
But in doing so, we unintentionally tested her resistance, and she passed mercilessly.
There were apparently problems with topping as well, because she just let her main shoot come out again (a bit more messy).
She has a very compact growth, that can definitely be said, so there should definitely be enough air circulation.
But let's see.
She continues to have strong growth and similar power to a Gelato when you look at the stems.

Biobotaniker98 sooo after 2 weeks we're back with our special unknown GunSmoke from sensi 😁
as you can easily see, it's really a damn compact strain with very strong branches and structure... by now, LST on the two strong shoots is no longer possible (risk of breakage)
Otherwise, it's only growing a bit in height despite a lamp distance of 50cm and 20% power..
it tolerates nutrients super well, even likes more 👌 (in coco)
watering has also been increased, along with nutrient supply
any kind of intervention has been handled super well. let's see how it progresses. But with the structure, I suspect very good buds later 🤝?

Biobotaniker98 Let's take a look at the 6th week of vegetation of the GunSmoke from Sensi Seeds (absolute novelty)
For a Sativa dominant genetic, I'm really surprised by the very short internodes here! On the main stems, the largest distances are about 1cm despite sufficient lamp distance. Similar to the Cherry Bacio, it has side branches that show slightly longer distances (no huge differences). Overall, it has a great structure and stable stems (LST should be started early, otherwise there's a risk of breakage!). I also removed the 2 stems in the middle to provide a reasonable airflow channel between the monster stems.
It will also go into flowering in about 1-2 weeks, and we'll take a look at the stretch then! I'm very curious, but so far it's really my favorite of the 3 genetics from Sensi Seeds.
Stay tuned, but so far it's definitely worth it! Germination rate 100%, growth, structure, stress resistance, fertilization all get 5/5 from me. A very pleasant genetic.

Biobotaniker98 Weekly Update – Gun Smoke | Sensi Seeds 🌱➡️🌸
This week was really eventful for the Gun Smoke. 😅
At the beginning of the week, it was still extremely compact and bushy. It had built up an enormous amount of foliage, and it was getting increasingly dense inside. At the same time, there were already many strong shoots present – so it was high time to uncover the actual structure for flowering.
✂️ That's why there was a pretty radical pruning this week.
A large part of the foliage, especially the weaker growth in the lower and inner areas, was removed. The difference is extremely visible in the pictures: from the almost closed bush before, it has become a very open plant, where you can now see all the way to the main stem.
It also became clear how massively it has developed under all that greenery. The main stem is now really thick, and the two lower main arms form a strong Y-structure. The shoots above have also gained considerable substance. These stronger shoots are meant to carry the main flowers later on.
🌱 And the reaction to the pruning was really interesting:
It didn’t take long for it to get going again. On nearly all the remaining shoots, you can already see vigorous, light green new growth. So, in a short time, it’s already starting to close the previously open crown again.
The long leaf stems with some reddish/purplish coloring stand out quite clearly as well. The actual stems and shoots, on the other hand, look strong and stable.
💡 At the same time, the conditions for flowering have been adjusted:
The lamp has been raised to ensure there’s enough space above during the stretch, and it’s now running at 100% power.
🌸 So, the veg phase is officially over.
The Gun Smoke is now entering flowering and starting from a pretty good position: strong stem, several well-developed main shoots, nicely cleared out below, and already strong growth above.
Now it’s particularly exciting to see how much it stretches and how quickly it builds a closed flower canopy again from this currently still open structure. After last week's growth, I wouldn’t be surprised if it quickly takes up a lot of space again. 👀🌿
