Germination

Womp_Womp Cherry Poppers by Barney’s Farm seems to be a popcorn like strain so I’m excited to see how she grows and can’t wait to see the pink and purple hues later in her life! Let’s goo!! Womp_Womp It took about three days to get a decent tap root going and I decided to add her to a jiffy cup, I made a little humidity dome out of a water bottle to help her grow. I put her next to her older sisters to motivate her to grow! She gets about 500 ppfd in the tent.

Womp_Womp Things seem to be moving quickly with this strain. I had to transplant into her permanent home sooner than expected, her roots are already growing through the jiffy cup looking for soil. I moved her into a 3 gallon smart pot. Every day she gets 300 ml of tap water sitting at 7.0 on ph (she seems to like it). I try to water only in her general vicinity to help the roots grow and save the nutrients around her in the soil. Soon I’ll start watering in a bigger radius to encourage root growth. Maybe in a day or two. Day 4 of this week and I officially moved her into the 2x2 tent. She’s supposed to share it with one sister but with the temporary space available I moved in a few bell peppers and a clone for the meantime.

Womp_Womp So I germinated this seed that same day as a LSD seed from Barney’s farm and this one seems to be on steroids. I started giving her 800ml per watering and leaving it at 7.0 ph seems to be the plan still, I did try to give her 6.0 nitrogen rich fish water but she rebelled and I went back to her normal watering. I got some motivation from a Jenny kush joint and constructed a little inline fan from cardboard and a fan from the dollar store. I’m going to use it to vent the heat from the top more efficiently and create a negative pressure to pull in fresh air from the vent at the bottom. I have high hopes for this strain!

Womp_Womp She’s still growing big and strong with her 7.0 ph tap water and enjoying the happy frog soil. I felt like she had a decent size to her so I went on and topped her. 2 days later and she made a great recovery with new growth. To help re direct that new energy I removed the fan leaves. Day 5? Thought I might go ahead and throw some lst in to the mix because she seems to be growing strong. Since some of the leaves are touching soil I decided not to water her today.

Womp_Womp We are one day before week 4 and this girl still impresses me, nice continuous vertical growth with just straight tap (7.0ph). Today she got her first shot of fox farm nutrients. I made a gallons worth but she only got 1 liter which is a step up from the usual 800ml. Everything seems to be on schedule for now. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Honestly it’s hard to keep track of what day she’s at when you have multiple projects. So ima start dropping dates with my input. 6/6/26 Womp_Womp
