Caertner After 3 weeks, the first roots have finally formed... the DIY is being revised. Just too much moisture to stimulate root growth.

Caertner It's progressing very slowly again. Roots look pretty good.

Caertner They're slowly getting some training. Just a little bending. But it's progressing rather slowly. The pH was a bit off, but it's been corrected now.

Caertner Slowly, the first fertilizer is coming. The plant looks really good now, it's recovered.

Caertner The bigger one can move now. The stem is already nice and thick. They have stayed small somehow, especially when they had problems in between, but something is still sticking. Somehow it's really picking up speed... Time to tie down the main stem...

Caertner The height only stayed at 15cm because I tied it down. It would have easily been at 25-30cm.

Caertner Keep tying it down strongly. I also stretched it a bit so that the individual buds have more space later on.

Caertner This time I printed LST clips. I incorporated them just a day before the switch and today moved them into the 12/12 tent. Roots look good, rather elongated. They're going to start pushing now. In 2 weeks, we'll see a lot more up top... I'm already looking forward to it.

Caertner This time I'm going to be a bit more stingy, more Lolipop. In the last week, she has really put on some weight. Beginning of the second flowering week... actually, there should be another week of regulated growth now. The way she looks right now, it should be fine. I'm not going to let all those little leaves become a problem this time. Regular defoliation is a must with this genetics.

Caertner This week I defoliated again... The strain is really intense. The smaller flower bracts are almost as big as those on the main stem. The more you defoliate, the more the little leaves push out and within a week they're big again...

Caertner In the meantime, it has reached its final size. A bit more defoliation and pruning... I said I needed more lollipops last time... so I have to do that too. But it is definitely a bit more work with this strain. The result is worth it!

Caertner It's not much mass, but the number of leaves is pretty intense. Many of the small sugar leaves are developing stems. So, it's time for a defoliation session. Remove what you can, she's already reached her final height anyway. Now just waiting for the buds to get thicker.

Caertner Defoliating, defoliating, defoliating. But the work is worth it. It's crazy how the branches are filling up. Let's see if I can get denser buds this time.

Caertner Buds are getting really thick for the strain... must have done everything right. The plant is a lot of work when it comes to defoliating. Many little sugar leaves are getting stems and you have to pluck them. Just finished, and there are already 1-2 new ones...

Caertner Another strong defoliation this week... or was it twice? Doesn't matter, get rid of the leaves. Really a lot of small sugar leaves eventually get stems... those little bastards push them out like crazy. At least no light is "lost" this way.

Caertner It's intense. The little sugar leaves are all getting bigger, developing stems, and being defoliated. Rinse and repeat... Otherwise, it already looks really tasty.

Caertner Defoliating, defoliating, defoliating. A lot of work, this lady. Anyone who enjoys noble hop notes (Humulene) will have a blast with this strain. Otherwise, the trichome heads look more like sand. They're relatively large... and feel sandy. I'll probably throw more of it in the washing machine this time, just out of curiosity. Supposedly, it washes well... will check it under the microscope next week. Somehow, there's been another bulking phase... flower cups are pushing out further. The bloom is getting flowers.

Caertner The buds are also slowly starting to foxtail now. With Sativa and this late... probably genetically predisposed. I didn't wait this long with the last mother... So let's see what happens now.

Caertner Somehow, it's not finishing. It still waved a bit with the fox tail, but the trichomes are still clear/cloudy... I'll give it some more time... the storage is currently well utilized anyway. It should be ready in a week at the latest.

Caertner This time just cut and hung up. No defoliation...
