jellyjelly You all have honestly inspired me with some of these training techniques - I’d like my go at it!
This plant from a regular seed will be my first mainline experiment!I have a crap ton of these seeds I figured I put to good use.
Warning - won’t be a pretty flower diary like usual or much detail in comments!
Breeder notes for strain:
BLUE RHINO 1947 x OAXACAN
This cross isn't the dankest strain... Probably the least dank strain on the menu... Its best for people who don't use cannabis much or for times that you don't want to get super high. Although, one in every 8-10 females actually comes out super nice and has some potency. The looks of this strain resemble an old school sativa that is great for going outside the bar and smoking a joint with friends and then going back in... and getting a little buzz in return... while still feeling fine and not overwhelmed like some strains can do. I believe most people can handle this strain... but for the blazers, this is probably not the one for you. Noobies and people who just want grow a plant for fun, this is a cheap fun option to start up a plant and experiment with

jellyjelly Wow this plant is thriving - it’s funny how the one I care about LEAST in my grow is excelling. I need to get better at watering lol I clearly overwater my main grows, unlike this one
Topped and defoliated and transplanted to begin the first steps of main-lining.
Also added about 6 red wrigglers from my backyard, some straw mulch and some cover crop.

jellyjelly It’s been a while! Basically acted as an Airbnb for the last 2 weeks 🤣
The mainline experiment is doing phenomenal. The cover crop is getting a bit tall and I do wish the pot was a fabric one - either way, maintenance and training this one has been way too easy.
Already up to 4 main colas - 2 more toppings left! One branch makes me a little worried it’ll snap.. such a resilient plant 🤩

jellyjelly Plant torture challenge is going great, we’re at.. WHAT?! 16 colas?! okay, looks like the challenge is going to become 64 colas and not 16 LOL
Topped her again this week, she hasn’t complained once. Removed 4 excess fan leaves from early growth to help with crowding
ALSO crazy enough, she’s been so happy, she’s been showing female features??
To be honest I thought I was just gonna chop this one (no switch) - I don’t know now 🤔

jellyjelly Another week of growth before yet another topping - sitting at 30 cola nodes!
And some unfortunate news, on one branch, I had TWO cola nodes snap off 😭
Beyond the small mistake (and having a fewer colas to work with) everything is going great and I’m excited to keep vegging her out
Watering quite frequently now, she must be getting root bound lol

Good luck, mainlining is fun! Some light reading into the topic should give you all information you need when and how to cut for an even canopy :))
This community will help you too if you ask. So reach out if you need some infos! :D
