Frumplepuff 27 Little F2 Freaks from my favourite female F1. She had 180 seeds. This feels like a great outcome from some of the other grows I've seen! a couple are questionable, most are undeniable!

Frumplepuff Update! It’s probably not actually week 3 but who cares! Here’s so individual photographs of each leaf morphology! I said a fancy word, I don’t know if it’s proper.
A few haven’t made the cut! Next update will be to share the early males and early flowering! Enjoy!

Frumplepuff Pictures 1-4 are the female! The darkest purple so far on display. I’m surprised how early she is showing this deep purple. This is truly what I want to see from this freak line. Nice deeeeep dark! I have 10 other females I’m waiting to see if they do any shifting!
Pictures 5-6 are the male. he’s so stinky and so mutant I hope he produces.
I had a problem with one of my early males pollen sacs drying out in the greenhouse from 34 Celsius days and super low humidity. I moved everything indoors despite battling thrips with orius insidious and some swirski mites. I’m certain I’ll need to order more bugs this week but I’m gonna go with some lacewing larvae now.
Anyhow my super twisted up super mutant looking plant turned out to be a male. I’m thrilled about that because he also stinks like a female. My original now dried up male doesn’t smell much at all. Hopefully moving indoors saved my males or else I’m gonna back breed to another dark purple and start the process over (fingers crossed I don’t have to do that)
Hopefully my super mutant stinky male shows a pinch of purple as time goes on. I find males shows it later on rather than earlier!
I’m praying! Love breeding so I can’t really be discouraged. I do it purely for the love

Frumplepuff So far so good! She’s going to be so dark and crystally.
Pollen collection is a real pain in the ass with freakshows, they barely give off any at all! I have to collect individual open pods and let them dry out before hammering them with the blunt end of a paint brush on aluminum foil and sort of rolling pollen onto the hairs using the wood end of the paintbrush.
The males start with exposed manners instead of closed pods. However, when they’re ready they still have a mini pod casing that open up like a star and lets you know the time is right. Then you collect them with tweasers, dry them a bit and mash them!
Anyhow, I think she’s good and pollinated. She’s definitely going to be impressive!

Frumplepuff I did my best to pollinate her! I pray she takes!
As I mentioned before, the males produce so little pollen it’s embarrassing!

Frumplepuff I did the impossible, I seeded the ebony freakshow so hard to get pollen but she’s filled with seeds now! Very excited!
P.s. I’m not sure what week of flowering this is, I just post whenever there’s a new exciting development! Woo!
Thank you for joining me on the journey so far!!!!

Frumplepuff 4 weeks into flowering. Unbelievable sized cola!
I intentionally grew in a very small pot to keep the plant size small but had no idea it would produce such a large Cola so fast. Can’t wait to see it again in another month. I’m afraid she’s going to snap the stem before the seeds mature. May have to add support!

Frumplepuff Some more up close beautiful shots of the colour and crystal. The weed smells a lot like meat, it’s strange lol. It’s become very stinky.
I’m so proud to have bred this plant. I’m hoping for many F3 seeds!
It’s extremely dense, hard as rock. The cola has far exceeded the size of a pop can at this point.
I love this little plant

Frumplepuff These two photographs were taken 1 month apart. ⚡️
I believe this plant is in its 5th or 6th week of flowering based on the few pictures I have! I’m going to try to take it to ten weeks !

Week 16. Flowering

Frumplepuff I was asked to show the whole plant 🌱
For the first 3 weeks I grew it in a 4 inch pot. When I discovered it was a female and it had really nice purple flowers , I transplanted it to a 1 gallon bag. It was intentionally meant to stay small and not branch out much. This is how I manage breeding large numbers. Structure is still easy to determine this way, I just watch which plants show prominent node growth compared to others. Both this girl and her purple male counterpart had great node growth.
I select plants for structure. I watch how much effort each plant puts into its nodes. This plant has excellent structure. I intentionally stunted its growth due to my limited space and because I was dealing with large numbers of plants to find this one! I will continue to grow them small so I can explore all the seeds.
I have a lower number of seeds than I had hoped for due to male freakshows being really pathetic pollinators and it being my first time working with male freakshows! I’ll be ready this time. I hope I find this exact massive bud pheno again!

Week 17. Flowering

Frumplepuff I have a theory.
I think that extraordinary bud size is due to the make up of the bud structure. It seems to be predominantly made up of small simple sugar leaves rather than the bracts of a normal cannabis bud. I believe these leaves are making the plant extremely efficient at flower building.
They grow directly out of the flower clusters, capturing light that the tiny inefficient fan leaves miss out on.
They help accelerate absorption of light, water, and carbon dioxide into sugars to feed the developing buds/sugar leaves
The sugar leaves sit right inside the flower, delivering local energy directly to where the plant needs it most during blooming.
If my theory is correct then I have some interesting tests to do if I’m able to stabilize it!
@Itashish, she has become something truly beautiful! I’m very lucky. I love these plants and did my best but In the end it’s all her! I got lucky this time! I hope her offspring continue that luck in the F3’s!
@Frumplepuff, j'espère pour vous aussi que la descendance est un maximum de génotype avec les memes caractéristiques, ça présage de belle choses dans le futur 👌
@StellarCannaArtistry, I have never seen anything like this either! I’ve grown and bred a lot over the years but this one is an anomaly!
I want to say. The plant has amazing structure and would’ve branched out like crazy. Because I was doing a gigantic seed hunt. I started all these in 4 inch terracotta pots. As soon as I saw the first sign of a dark purple pre flower, I transplanted to a 1 gallon canvas pot.
Because it spent its entire vegetative life in a 4 inch pot and transplanted to a 1gallon at the beginning of flower, its structural growth is very immature. That being said it has excellent buds all down the stalk. Those buds are bigger and as big as most colas.
When I breed I generally breed using much smaller pots as I can do huge numbers. When I stabilize the genetics and grow it for size, it will express its true self!
@StellarCannaArtistry, Thank you! I am also really curious as well! I think I have anywhere from 30-50 seeds in this one. It’s not what I was hoping for but it’s what I got! The next generation is F3! I will most likely stunt the growth of them as well until I reach F5-F6. Then I’ll test in larger pots. Thank you for following, I really appreciate it!
It’s up to her!, the outcome is her choice, I just get to watch, water and hope!
@Itashish, That makes more sense for sure! I agree with that, I don’t think my nose is precise enough to decide what they smell like, I just know it smells amazing haha
@jellyjelly, Thank you!!! 6 weeks into flowering now! I fear the stem breaking so I’ve staked it closely with the pole now!
I have lots of fans inside the tent, I’ve dropped humidity for fear of the potential of but rot, no signs so far! Since this is carrying my F3 seeds to continue on this genetic line it’s both exciting and nerve wracking! I’m overwhelmed! Haha
@Frumplepuff, j'aime voir que la communauté s'agrandit et qu'il y est de bon growers dans le lot🌱 c'est plaisant de voir ce genre de projet qualitatif, que tous ce passe au mieux pour la suite 🍀🙏
