KejmilJeKejmil Hey, so here’s my second round, where I changed the pot size from 8L to 15L, which I hope will lead to better cooperation with Biotabs fertilizers. I switched from light mix to coconut with perlite, to which I added a bit of buffered zeolite and dolomite lime. It’s kind of an experiment, and I hope it will prevent any potential drastic pH drops, ensure enough calcium and magnesium, plus the zeolite should work as a refuge for the bacteria from Bactrex and help capture excess nitrogen and trade it for buffered cal/mag. As a new addition, I’m using Silicium Flash to support plant resilience and reduce the need for liquid Orgatrex interventions. So the substrate should be airy and packed. For strains, I chose indicas, specifically a landrace from Barneys Farm and Durga Mata CBD from Paradise Seeds. It’s more of an old-school grow, probably focused more on effects than on strength. I’m curious to see if it works out and if the BioTabs fertilizers will work in coconut, as I’ve read mixed experiences. I transplanted the plants today, Friday, and they are at the end of the second week. So that’s it for now, and good luck to everyone!

KejmilJeKejmil Hey gardeners. After transplanting, I noticed a calcium and magnesium deficiency - probably because I was pre-growing them in light mix in cups, and then transplanted them into coco, so it got a bit messed up. Right now, it seems to me that the HinduKush is showing a bit of nitrogen overdose. I adjusted the water from 0.1ec to 0.4 using cal mag, and did one leaf spray with cal mag as well. Then topped it and increased the watering to 0.5 ec. They probably got quite a shock, so my plan for the next week is to leave them alone and just use this water, and hopefully, they'll rehabilitate and the little bugs with biotabs will start working and stabilize both the substrate and the plants. The height is currently around 22cm, and I'm keeping the VPD around 0.8 to 1.1. Since it's like living soil and I have the water pH around 7.4, I'm not adjusting it because that should be one of the advantages of this growing style. Happy growing!

KejmilJeKejmil Czus. We're at the end of another week, and yesterday, May 28th, I switched to rocket fuel autopot with water adjusted with Cal Mag to 0.4ec, so I'm curious how the plants will react. Otherwise, I only slightly spread them out and didn't touch them further. After turning on the self-watering, they show signs of a slight nitrogen excess (DurgaMata), so I hope the girl balances it out herself and nothing blocks her, Hindu Kush has such delicate leaves, kind of like the skin on a scrotum. Plans for next week are clear, and that will be the switch to flowering and maybe some more mild LST, currently, they are about 22cm in height. Question: At what height would you switch these indicas, considering I have 100cm from the top edge of the pot to the highest position of the light?... thanks. So good luck fellow gardeners, and if nothing goes wrong, see you next time!

KejmilJeKejmil Hey there! Another week is coming to an end, and on Monday, I switched the ladies to flowering. They're growing, and I don't see anything dramatic that should bother them so far. Except for the rain, which keeps the humidity above 60%, so I can't really play with the numbers and run on VPD automation, and it feels like we're back in the Stone Age... I'm still pushing it to the max that I can afford, and at least I managed to get some sleep. So far, it looks like the second round is a bit more chill; I realized that when I'm more relaxed and not stressing, they seem to do better too, which is nice. So, happy gardening, everyone! 🌱

KejmilJeKejmil Hey there. I'm at the end of the second week of flowering - it was stable, but the girls started showing a slight nitrogen deficiency, so I did the last foliar spray with a cal-mag solution as a kind of refresh conditioner (... it also contains a bit of nitrogen, and when you don't know what to do, just add Cal Mag, right?) and watered with 10ml/l of orgatrex with bactrex, and the leaves beautifully got a darker color. Hindu Kush has started to flower, but that Durga Mata is still a bit reluctant, hopefully, she'll bounce back soon and start forming some buds too. Hindu Kush has already grown by 100%. I tried to slow them down with the light intensity, but then I had completely yellow tops, so I raised the light higher and the color was nice and green again within 24 hours. I'm already looking forward to the time when I'll trim them a bit and get the humidity down in the tent,... or at least the weather will be kind. With that, I’ll say goodbye for now, my dear fellow growers, and see you in a week, peace! ps.: ...I know about that hose.

KejmilJeKejmil Hey, today (June 19th) I did some defoliation on the bottoms of the DurgaMaty, the Hindu Kush was trimmed a few days earlier, I hope this helps reduce the humidity in the box as well. I turned off the autopots and in the evening I'll add some "brewed" Compost tea as a little drink for digestion and to provide beneficial microbes for better nutrient availability. I raised our favorite Cal Mag to a final value in the tank of 0.1 to a final 0.5 Ec. And we'll continue with only this adjusted water until next week, then we plan to use Bio pk 5/8, but that's getting ahead of ourselves. So aside from the high humidity, everything is kind of running smoothly for now. Wishing everyone lots of luck in continuing this botanical adventure. Hawgh!

KejmilJeKejmil Hey, the plants are growing, but it seems like my top watering with compost tea slightly burned the HinduKush (see leaf photo). It showed up on the leaves from the middle of the plant upwards. It's been a week since the application, and for the rest of the week, I just used adjusted water with only cal mag, so I think I'll wait a few more days before adding pk 5/8 to avoid making it worse. Otherwise, they are starting to swell nicely and smell slightly sweet. DurgaMata looks like a very resilient plant and so far, it hasn't been bothered by much. Wishing all gardeners and growers good luck. Czus

KejmilJeKejmil Czus, we keep on rolling...., the plants got a dose of PK 5/8, Orgatrex, and Bactrex, I'm trying to keep it below the recommended values of Biotabs and it's still a bit hot for them, so next time I'll probably lower it a bit more. Finally, the humidity and temperature in the tent have started to get to more tolerable levels for which I'm grateful. Every day they are swelling more and more, so hopefully the pace doesn't slow down and they show the strength they have inside, Hindu Kush smells so sweet, and I would say Durga Mata has a sweet "floral" scent? Otherwise, I wish myself and all of you a lot of success on your journey of cultivating this amazing herb! Hawgh.

KejmilJeKejmil Hey, so another week, and another swelling behind us, we are at the end of week 6. HinduKush on one side shows that the PK is slightly burning it and on the other, the stems are darkening and it wants more... I guess I'll still give it some more PK. So far, I've found buds on the Hindu from 3 seeds, so there should be a few more in there, and of course, I blame not MYSELF, but the high temperatures and humidity between weeks 3 and 4 of flowering and the genetics :D. DurgaMata is handling everything better and is brutally gaining mass. I see it going for another 2, max 3 weeks, but we'll explore that some other time later :). So I wish everyone more pleasant moments while growing this beautiful herb. Update 13.7. So after today's check, it looks like there won't just be a few seeds in HinduKush, but most likely a whole regiment. Well, I'll add a few macro photos, I'll figure it out and there will probably be a slide anyway. What's interesting to me is that right next to DurgaMata looks completely fine.

KejmilJeKejmil Cuz, we’re at the end of week 7 of flowering. And what happened is that the Hindu Kush was uncompromisingly eliminated because it started showing some bananas all over the flower and was becoming more and more of a hermie. Overall, I just didn’t like it. Late, but still. As for DurgaMaty, that’s a different story, the buds are swelling beautifully, considering it’s a 1:1 strain, it seems to be beautifully covered in resin, at least I hope it’s not pollen from that bisexual Barneys. And for my second cycle, I have to say that the genetics from Paradise S. are starting to seem very stable and resistant to my struggles. Now I just hope that at least this smoke will make it to the end and won’t be too radically affected by my disobedient, now former bisexual friend. So I wish you all that your plants grow and bloom better than mine. Hawgh!

It looks like a pretty nice strain, I just had a problem with mold (high temperatures - 30C during the day, and humidity around 70%Rh in the summer), so I had to take down the two biggest buds and harvested about a week earlier. I'll let it cure for a few days and probably update the smoke report, but it definitely hits solid. So, that's it for now.

It looks like quite a nice variety, I just had a problem with mold (high temperatures - 30C during the day, and humidity around 70% Rh in summer, so I dropped two biggest buds and harvested about a week earlier. I'll let it rest for a few days and probably update the smoke report, anyway it sticks quite well. So for now.
