grandpon Day 04/05 - I placed the 3 seeds to germinate on the paper towel. Day 08/05 - I put the seedlings in the pots (photo of them with just the cotyledons showing) Day 10/05 - the grow was ready and I took a photo of them already in the grow I was watering about 10ml of water every day and it caused overwatering in the DB (stunted growth) and in the WW (droopy leaves) PPFD was around 250

grandpon Starting from the 20th, I began watering 10ml (1 syringe/still without nutrients, just with saponins) per pot every 2 days, due to the symptoms of - at first - overwatering (WW had wilted leaves and DB1 had stunted growth). In addition, I discovered that the VPD was also not ideal (which could also explain the difficult growth), so I set up a humidifier to increase the humidity to about 70%. I raised the PPFD to 350. One observation is that I haven't even used fans and a FAN yet. Just through passive intake/exhaust. Despite everything, they seem okay and healthy. Today, 05/23, I transplanted them into 5-liter pots. The transplant was a disaster. They didn't develop their roots well in the small pots, and the soil was quite dry, so basically, when I turned them over in my hand to transplant, the soil just fell apart and I 'threw' them into the hole in the 5-liter pot. They looked visibly stressed. After being 'transplanted', I prepared a solution of 500ml with Connoisseur Grow A + B (1 ml/l) and Saponins (2ml/l) and watered about 100 ml around each plant with a spray bottle. After 1 hour, I did the same process, as the soil was dry about 1 inch down. I placed the LED 30cm away with PPFD 410 +/- Despite the growth, they seem quite stressed, DB1 is still small compared to the others, and WW is still wilted. Let's see what happens in the next chapters...

grandpon After the disastrous transplant and the drowning last weekend (previous diary), I decided to take a few steps back. So, I removed the fertilizers from the watering and added only half a dose of rooting agent and saponins in the watering (80ml per pot), and this week I watered every 3 days (on the 27th and 31st), doing the soil test to avoid overwatering and also to reduce the stress they went through. I also lowered the PPFD to 250. As they said in a forum, they would be stuck for a few days because of everything, and they really were, although there was a slight progress from last weekend to this one. Let's see the evolution next week.

grandpon Fourth week of vegetation (practically a month into the life of the little devils) and things seem to have improved. The DB1 (I don't know if it's due to the grow's position, lighting, and ventilation) has grown the most, with larger and more stretched leaves, although the others have also progressed quite a bit (all were developing the 6th node). I'm watering every 2 days with 250ml per pot (solution with saponins and rooting agent 2ml/L). Today, June 8th, I did some training: - WW: I did a top cut above the 4th node and removed the two branches from the first node (defoliation), as it is denser and more compact, and those first nodes weren't receiving light. - DB1: I did a top cut above the 4th node and kept the first ones. - DB2: I did a fim cut above the 4th node and will remove the two branches from the first node (defoliation).

grandpon I continued watering every 3 days, with the last watering on Saturday (06/13) giving 250ml to each plant with rooting agent and saponins (2ml/l each). Today, on 06/15, I did a watering with 250ml for each pot and buried it with Connoisseur grow A + B mineral fertilizers (2ml/l), along with the rooting agent and saponins in the same amount. The PPFD was increased to about 500 PPFD. Training: I did a top cut on DB2 (which I had previously topped) because it was growing too vertically, and I also did some LST (ended up breaking a branch). I went to do some LST on DB1 and just broke a branch too :( I also did some training on WW since there were branches not receiving light (I pruned above the 4th node). All of them showed progress, but DB2 (which was the most stunted) simply stretched out and is the tallest now.

grandpon I'm continuing with the watering of 250 ml for each pot with Connoisseur grow A + B mineral fertilizers (I increased to 3ml/l) + rooting agent + saponins (rooting and saponins 2ml/l). I noticed that the WW pot is drying out more than the DBs, so I'm going to have to water the WW more. I also feel that before the pruning and LST, they were growing at a faster pace. I don't know what happened; apparently, the environmental conditions are still the same. The fan broke, maybe that's it. I'll investigate better in the next few days. In the meantime, I'm moving forward. Today, June 21st, I did the second TOP pruning on both DBs (on DB1 above the 3rd node and DB2 above the 2nd node, since it has more branches and is more developed). I also redid the LST on DB1 and DB2 and removed the 'fan leaves' from DB2.

grandpon Stunted plants... I stopped watering with fertilizers this week.. I watered every 3 days only with water. The DB2 has yellowing leaves underneath. Now I need to know if there's a nutrient deficiency in the soil, or if, on the contrary, there are too many nutrients, but the pH is off. The only way to find out is by doing a bit of runoff...

grandpon Earlier this week, on Monday (06/29), before watering I added 500ml of worm humus + 100g of biokashi (top feeding) and watered (350ml per pot) with fermented solution + Conn. Grow A (1ml/L of each). The watering frequency is every 3/4 days. Clearly, they are stalled given the vegetative time, but I really don't know what it could be; their coloring is strange now: some dark green leaves, others light green, some yellowing, others with just the edges yellowed... Apparently, the parameters are correct: VPD, PPFD, nutrition, watering, etc.... I believe the pot size is the main culprit for the stalling... Anyway, now I'm going to leave them like this for another 2 weeks due to travel, and when I get back, I'll do some defoliation and flip them.

grandpon In these last 3 weeks that I've been traveling, the watering was every 4 days with 500 ml per pot + foliar (watering with Gorilla Microbes + aloe FPE 2ml/L), totaling 4 waterings so far. The plants seem to be doing well and have grown, although I feel their development is still stalled; the plants are still small (of course, also influenced by the size of the pots). Additionally, there are leaf edges that are yellowing and the tips are burnt, both on new and old leaves (some leaves have almost completely burnt). My main theory, analyzing the history of my grow diary, is that this is due to a nutrient lockout from excess nutrients, since I've applied fertilizer salts a few times (combined with the watering issues I had), so the soil must be unbalanced due to the excess salts, I think. I already did some defoliation and adjusted the LST yesterday; I plan to keep them in the vegetative phase for a few more days, do some more training, and switch to flowering this weekend (on 01/08). I feel like I've already invested a lot of time and resources in them and that they won't change much, although I'm worried that something might go wrong during flowering. I really appreciate @PharmaZ's attention in my first grow; it's helped me a lot! Jah bless

grandpon This was definitely the last week of veg. I can't take it anymore with the mistakes and 'slipping' on them, plus they've been in veg for a long time, and I'm worried about the resources in the pots since they're small and the resources are finite, and fixing it would take more weeks and I'm tired. Despite all the mistakes, they seem to be doing well, and I've learned and continue to learn a lot about the plant and cultivation, and I've met wonderful people like (@Pharmaz) who help me a lot to understand all of this. This week I watered each pot twice with 500 ml (the first with gorilla Microbes and aloe vera fpe 2ml/L and the other just with water). In fact, the last one was today (03/08), which is when I flipped. So, starting today (03/08), they're on a 12/12 schedule. They have been growing, a little, but growing.

They look dry from low humidity/ high light intensity. My lights have been on 50-60% 24” /60cm 65-75% RH in veg. I honestly wouldn’t worry about your PH coming out too much just continue watering with the correct PH going in, with a little run off so you can assure you’re soaking the soil then letting it dry back. Things will bounce back and the plant will “harden” up to your environment. Some yellow leaves and brown spots are normal when you’re not dialed in with your watering feeding. If you have dry spots and have been watering irregularly you’re going to have hot spots in the soil. Also the size of your pots VS How much soil is in there is not ideal for living soil. The nutrients will be used up quite quickly. Soil in a pot only lasts for 1-2 months max

@PharmaZ, Hi! The water pH is around 6 (I know this because I have pH test strips), but I have no idea about the EC. So, will the watering I do when the soil is completely dry last for two weeks? Or do you think that, in addition to the two foliar feedings, another watering might be needed? I wasn't able to buy the product; I checked local stores but they don't have it, so I'll have to buy it online. The problem is I'll be away, though maybe I can get a friend to handle that task. Thanks—I'll keep you posted and update the grow diary whenever possible. I can't thank you enough for your support and patience.

@grandpon, No problem every grower has experienced situations like this if they say they haven’t they’re lying. I have some time to help so let’s just try and get this sorted 🙏 Yes 1 watering should last 2 weeks as long as your PPFD is 300-400 and light schedule 18/6 Your plants are currently in a stress stage they aren’t drinking from the roots it’s clear to me. If you have a look at my current grows I’m using coco I could let them go 3 days without watering at this stage 11-12L of coco in the pot. That is also due to a healthy microbial environment like mycorrhiza and good bacteria. You could also do with having a Calcium magnesium supplement/additive. Helps with new cell growth when the plant invigorates itself. Exp. In a higher humidity environment 70-80% I have grown plants from seed to 4 weeks old watering once in 10L soil pots. And they were big plants at 4 weeks… You have to get in the Habit of growing cannabis as a plant, Most varieties like a big watering then a dry back unless you’re running hydro which you’re not. They want to grow big and strong and if you don’t let them they will tell you. First they need to develop a big root system, once that’s developed you may need to water every 1-2 days in most potting mixes but again it’s all variables like how big is your pot vs the plants inside it, humidity, temps… In all honestly you have approached this grow completely wrong, Soil growing is great but much less forgiving. I like growing in soil, it can be the easiest (water only) but can also be the hardest. If you want to do an organic living soil your pots really should be using 20L+ pots filled to the top, or a large planter with your 3 plants in together. The living soil hype has really ramped up and honestly it’s not all good. There are so many other factors involved in growing great bud. Genetics are more important than the growing media. Then you have environment, if it’s too hot/cold, dry/wet you’re great genetics won’t matter. You would have been better off with a bag of canna soil for €20 after all you have some nutrients too. Anyway we’re not giving up just some opinions 🙏👍

@PharmaZ, Hello, I’m happy to know there are people who help others and that I’m not the only one going through this. I understand; I’m following (or trying my best to follow) your recommendations. I made all the adjustments you suggested. I managed to buy a similar product online (Gorilla Microbes) that contains the seaweed extract; a friend of mine said he’ll use it for foliar feeding once it arrives (I’ll be traveling). I’m glad you solved the mystery regarding my plants; I’m learning a lot about plants, watering, and so on. I also found the 300ml watering every 3 days a bit odd, but I didn't know what to do or what was actually happening. I chose "living soil" because it’s the cheapest medium (at least around here), and the marketing always claims, "buy this soil and water only with plain water until harvest"—but I realized it’s not quite that simple... Maybe the pot size was my main issue, which led to the watering problem as well—would you agree? Thank you so much for your insights; please feel free to share your opinion on anything you like—make yourself at home. Regarding the soil: what do you think about using an organo-mineral mix for my next grow cycle?

Most soils have about 4-6 weeks worth of nutrients. I normally don't even feed them outside of calmag, silica and some other supplements. I think you fed them way too early.
