derFranke Originally, I just wanted to grow Strawberry Gum (this was even before the Honey Cream grow). Out of 10 seeds planted (February 15, 2026), all 10 germinated. But due to my inexperience, I messed up the seedling to young plant phase. I didn't give them enough light and also overwatered the little ones. In the end, three plants survived. This motivated me to plant Honey Cream to write my first GrowDiaries. At least I planned to plant one of the three Strawberry Gum outside and try my first outdoor grow. I planted the prettiest one in my raised bed and gave one to my grandma.
So far so good, but I also wanted to grow something indoors. Then I thought I should get rid of some old seeds (since the legalization, I had ordered a lot of seeds, and I hadn't stored them very well). So, it happened that out of the three Power Plant seeds, only one sprouted. As mentioned, that's clearly my fault: improper storage and letting them sit for way too long. Well, I still have space, so I need another plant. I decided on the Hyper Vyper, which you can only get as a Tribe member, and I thought it would be a shame to wait too long and have them go bad. Out of the 4 seeds, two germinated. And, as it had to be, only one survived. I'm sure this time it's not my fault. It's still a natural product, and things like this can happen.
Long story to explain why I'm planting 3 different strains at once. I wanted to share my thought process. I briefly considered creating three separate GrowDiaries, but that would be too much effort for me ^^

derFranke Hyper Vyper and Powerplant have settled in well. Since planting them in the pot, they have gained a lot of mass. So far, I’m still watering by hand because it’s recommended to activate the Autpots only once the roots are strong enough to handle the water amount.
I’ve put the Blumat system in the raised bed and connected it to our rainwater barrel.
The Strawberry Gum in the raised bed already looks nice and bushy. You can clearly see the difference the sun makes. Really exciting. Growing is such a great hobby :D

derFranke So far, I really like the growth speed. The internode distance from the first to the second node is quite large, but I was planning to remove node 1 anyway. On day 11, I turned on the Autotray system. So far, I'm really liking it. The little plant in the raised bed looks quite funny, like a little trimmed tree.

derFranke The madness of those mega leaves that have grown is unreal. I've never seen anything like that before. So this method of watering is a revelation for me personally.
At least I've started to switch my nutrient schedule from Hesi to Plagron. Once my Hesi nutrients run out, I just feel like the Plagron line suits me better, and they smell a lot better too (of course, the plant doesn't care^^). In terms of quantity, there probably isn't much difference, so I'll observe and then take it slow.
Oh yeah, this time I replaced the watering with compost tea. I brewed 1 liter, then added the nutrients and divided it between both plants.
I've also started training now. My plan is as follows:
I've always noticed that the first node tends to be quite thin and very long, and the buds have always been a bit meh. That's why my plan is to let the plant grow to 5/6 nodes. Then I'll remove node 1. I'll leave nodes 2, 3, and 4 and spread the branches out like with mainlining. From node 4, I'll top it. That way, I should have 6 main branches if I haven't miscounted^^.

derFranke I removed the wires because they were unfortunately too weak to hold the branches down. That's why I printed a few LST clips. With those, it looks better to me, and unfortunately, one of the lowest shoots on the Hyper Viper broke off. Well, I was just really late with the bending. Since we are currently experiencing a brutal heatwave in Germany, the two plants are consuming a lot of water. It was 25 liters in a week. I have no idea what the Strawberry Gum is doing outside, but it's growing.
I'm happy with what’s growing there 😄

derFranke Originally, I thought that the vegetation would take about 8 weeks for the plant to grow that big. To my own surprise, the two plants (especially the Powerplant) have grown so well that I've decided to initiate the flowering stage.
I'm excited.
As a little bonus, I took a photo of the Strawberry Gum that my grandma has. It's also growing very nicely.

derFranke The second flowering week is going great as well. Unfortunately, while bending one of the shoots, one broke off. I really underestimated how sensitive the fresh stretch shoots are, well, learned something new. At least my plan seems to be working well: there are 7 main shoots (it would be 8 if one hadn't broken off).
On the 11th day after the switch, the first stigmas started to grow (even 5 days earlier than in the last grow).

derFranke The stretch is now over and quite a bit has grown. The Strawberry Gum that's growing outside has also turned into quite a bush.
