bauergrows Still germinating (2 already planted in soil).
Update: In total 4 of 6 seeds are still alive. 1 popped in 48hs and it's growing fastly. 1 died after popping out of the soil. One of them was taking more than 7 days so i've planted it in a separate discarded pot but i don't expect it to come out.

bauergrows Ladies are slow. One of them is leading (maybe the keeper?). I've got 3 out of 6 seeds germinated. Which is not a great rate. It can be my fault but I never had this bad luck before with Humboldt, but since i've got an extra package as a freebie, it's still what I expected to get.

bauergrows I've repotted because I suspect the soil in the previous pots to have been out of balance and slowly asfixiating the plants. I repotted with fresh soil, and I hope to see changes in the next week or 2. As you can see, two plants are pretty much stunted (slow slow grow and yellowing in cotyledons and tips of leaves) and the other seems okay but also slow.

bauergrows 1 of them is clearly taking the lead and has been topped
The other 2 are running a bit behind but still survived the heatwave and initial problems.
bauergrows Week 11 of veg, and all three Squirt phenos are continuing to develop nicely.
Alpha is the clear standout in terms of vigor. It's growing fast with a strong sativa-leaning structure, stretching well and showing excellent branching.
Beta is also sativa-leaning but has been noticeably smaller and slower from the start. Despite the slower pace, it's healthy and steadily putting on new growth.
Gamma appears to be a more indica-leaning pheno. I moved it indoors to compare outdoor vs. indoor growth, although the comparison won't be entirely fair since the phenotype is clearly different from the other two.
Overall, they're all progressing well, and it'll be interesting to see how their structures and flowering characteristics continue to diverge.

bauergrows The last two weeks were weeks of pure stretching. Still no signs of pre-flowers, I'm wondering how long it would take for them.

bauergrows The plant is starting to build pre-flower structures. I decided to tie down the biggest branches like 2 weeks ago to give the lower branches a bit more chance to catch up, and here we can see the results.

bauergrows Flowering is officially here. The pre-flower structures are mostly developed, and pistils are starting to grow from them. I'm enjoying the view of these plants on this sunny sunday.

bauergrows The smell is there and is definitely something like orange soda. The development of these two is a bit slower than the Orange Creampops, so I think they won't be ready before October 15th, which at these latitudes is a genuinely risky situation outdoors. Let's see how it goes!

bauergrows New week of flowering. Everything continues its natural course.
I harvested the pheno I moved indoors earlier this season, after she spent the night in colder temperatures before the cut. I chopped her a little early because I want to get an idea of how she tastes and hits, since itโs very possible that her outdoor sisters will also need to be harvested a few weeks earlier than the usual maturation point due to weather conditions.

bauergrows A lot of new trichomes and growing flowers. The changes I've seen in the last 6 days show an acceleration in the flowering process.

bauergrows We're possibly entering the last full week for these beauties. Along with the Orange Creampop in the same pot, I like to call these the Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch, after the Henry Miller book of the same name that I've been reading since I got back from Cali last September.
Could the impact of this book on me have influenced my picks this year? In any case, it feels like the closing of a cycle. I'm finishing the book now, and the Oranges probably won't make it past October 12th for a few reasons, but mainly because the cold and rain are expected to become more or less nonstop by the end of the week. These plants already smell so good that I don't want to risk flying too close to the sun again, a mistake that cost me half my harvest last year.
