Lotopharg Since the pre-cultivation for the garden is slowly coming to an end, it's time to start the pre-cultivation for the balcony. Since the cabinet will be free tomorrow, I went ahead and put a Banana Purple Punch Auto, Blackberry Auto, and LSD25 Auto in a glass of water today. My garden has quite a few snails, so it's good to have a backup, even though I know it’s actually a bit too shady on my balcony.

Lotopharg Totally forgot that I wanted to document this too. Well, better late than never. Something interesting happened here. The seed was well-prepared, with a proper taproot. It was buried just below the soil surface... and then seemingly disappeared. I searched the whole pot and then tossed in another seed a few days later. That's why it's so much smaller. With the LSD25 Autos, I seem to have no luck this round. I'm seeing a strong yellowing of the new growth (the contrast looks super intense). I'm guessing it's an N-lockout. I'll either water with Epsom salt or start fertilizing in a few days if it turns out to just be a very early N-deficiency (which I think is unlikely). But maybe it just needs water and will figure it out on its own. I'm really liking the BPP, I'll train it for the first time in the coming days and will also start with the nutrients. The Blackberry also wants (relatively urgently) some (N?) fertilization. I really like its structure. Nice and compact with broad fingers. Keep it up! Thank you all for your attention!

Lotopharg Even with the balcony cars, not everything went smoothly. Blackberry Auto and Banana Purple Punch Auto reacted wonderfully to their training. LSD25 Auto "the thrown in" is just languishing and is yellow. I'm unsure if it's a lockout, massive hunger/under-fertilization, or a genetic defect. After adding some fertilizer, a few lower leaf tips have turned darker green, so I think I'll continue fertilizing and water a few grams of Epsom salts on suspicion in the coming days... Or I'll just leave it. Thank you very much for your attention! 😎

Lotopharg The Balkonauts are now in their final location. I placed them on small metal pedestals and put plastic shoe racks underneath to get rid of excess water. I hope this way they stay free from wet feet and all the balcony-related problems that come with it, and drink up quickly. The Banana Purple Punch Auto couldn't believe her luck in being moved. She has literally exploded in growth. You can really tell how happy she is with the new spot. By the way, my training on her has worked out really well. She has many nice, stable side branches, two of which I bent down using HST to improve air circulation a bit. The Blackberry Auto was initially not very thrilled about the heat and real sunlight. For the first few days, she let her leaves droop, then she accepted her fate and started to perk up and stretch. I suspect she and the BPP are now in their first week of flowering. The LSD25 Auto is, as usual for her strain this year, my problem child. She is still quite yellow, though more towards light green now, but still definitely too light green. Aside from her color, she seems very vigorous and is growing nicely. She liked the move to the balcony the most. She is praying a lot, and that makes me happy, of course.

Lotopharg The autos on the balcony that I nurtured during the heat have developed splendidly. All of them have started to flower. The LSD25 Auto and the Banana Purple Punch Auto have stretched quite a bit. To prevent the tops from getting too far away, I cropped them to the side. The LSD25 Auto got some plant wire as support. The LSD25 Auto has managed to maintain its color and hasn't turned any yellower. The Banana Purple Punch Auto has really shown some power. Very vigorous growth. Unfortunately, the light was already gone; actually, they are all standing upright. What looks a bit like powdery mildew here are traces of thrips. The Blackberry Auto stayed, like the ones from the garden, rather squat, but very pretty!

Lotopharg The Balkonautos are doing quite well. They handled the HST well. They're starting to show strong stigma growth. I defoliated a bit at the bottom to get better access to the soil. I added 6g of Phosphorboost per 20l pot, and I watered with 1ml/l of Silica and 2ml/l each of BioBloom and TopMax. One might think that's quite a phosphorus bomb, but I've used the Boost with BioBloom several times before, and it works fine as long as you use a little BioBloom and want to have some K during this phase. Overall, I really like the three of them. I would describe the training as successful overall. Oh, by the way. I was on vacation for 5 days and didn't water beforehand, so the ladies had to suffer quite a bit. However, they managed quite well; in the photos, the leaves aren't drooping as much anymore. I really like the structure of the Banana Purple Punch Auto. It forms nice, stable flower clusters. Not too many fan leaves and not too few. The leaves are a rich green, and the internodes are stretched, but neither too short nor too long. The Blackberry Auto is once again the smallest. It looks compact but has a nice and even distribution with short internodes. The flower clusters currently look the leafiest, but that could still change. The LSD 25 Auto is still the lightest of the three; however, unlike what the pictures in the evening sun would suggest, it is no longer yellow (finally). It has grown very stretched and has the fewest budsides. Thank you for your attention! 😎

Lotopharg The balcony autos are currently stressed by two main factors. Due to strong gusts of wind over the last few nights, there was natural HST. Many branches were bent, which I then tried to fix a bit with wire. The Banana Purple Punch Auto was hit particularly hard. I had already anticipated that it would have problems, as I had one before that couldn't hold the weight of the buds well indoors and kept bending over. Also, I'm currently struggling to keep up with the watering. This is mainly due to my long shifts. Tomorrow, the trays will (hopefully) be cleaned and refilled with water and nutrients. The plants are all standing roughly as they should, but they still look a bit ragged. The Blackberry Auto, due to its stockier stature, weathered the storm the best, but it was also pushed strongly to the side and has therefore received a support. It is the furthest along in flowering of the three. The LSD25 Auto, which has been a bit of my balcony worry child so far, was also pushed well to the side and received an anchor support, but surprisingly, it has held up well too. Very nice! In the meantime, my balcony is enveloped in a very nice scent. The three together create a wonderful blend of raspberry, strawberry, gummy bears, and wine (-like scents). My girlfriend also mentioned: it smells incredibly berry-like and aromatic, but not classically like weed (she unfortunately has more experience than she'd like), and found it interesting that she shares this assessment. I hope my neighbors feel the same way. It smells very intense with various berries, even if it doesn't smell like grass.

Lotopharg The autos need to finish up slowly, my girlfriend keeps nagging me: "Balkon season also means you can dry your laundry outside, and that doesn't work with your stinky plants. How many weeks left? Two?! You said that last week. Now really two, make sure you get your plants done." Normally, I try to give plants their time and harvest them when I see clear signs of autumn. That seems to be changing this year. And with a more or less fixed harvest time in mind, a few days ago, I gave them a last bit of BioBloom and Topmax. Now it's just water. Since two of the three were suffering from thrips and I still had some money left for the hobby, I treated each of them to a bag of predatory mites for the last two weeks. That's a bit short on time, but they'll just move into the balcony boxes or the Monstera. I know the whole process takes about two weeks, but I just wanted to give it a try and had the bags left over. But I'm getting off track. Since I now plan to crash the plants and they have somewhat leafy buds (due to over-fertilization/shade?), I removed a decent amount of chewed and drained fan leaves. What do they want to do, push out more sugar leaves? Haha! Hopefully, the remaining ones will still suck them out nicely. Oh yeah: I have cats. One of them likes to sniff the buds. That's why they're very hairy. I often sit down with tweezers and pluck them out. I didn't have time for that this week. For those who find that disgusting, be warned, there are extremely hairy bud shots. Banana Purple Punch Auto: The wind-swept one has recovered well and stands nice and straight. Very leafy, but at least purple, although it doesn't come across that well. Smells like strawberries in a mean way. LSD25 Auto: Has few buds but they will be quite nice colas. Unfortunately, there was clear purple and no black, but since there's no pollen available on time, it doesn't really matter. Looks pretty over-fertilized, but I'm not really aware of any fault. Smells like strawberries, creamy and incense. Also somehow "nasty." Blackberry Auto: The Blackberry Auto is a bit of the star of the three. It's small and compact, but has formed beautiful flowers. Really, I've grown uglier weed indoors. Plus, it smells intense. Somehow like sweat, berries, and a sports store. Thank you very much for your attention! 😎💚

Lotopharg The plants are nearing their end. The Blackberry Auto and LSD25 Auto have understood that too. I could definitely leave the Banana Purple Punch Auto for another 2-3 weeks. But my home peace is more important to me than fully grown buds. So, I will be harvesting sometime this week. Probably on Friday, since I’m very busy over the weekend and then starting a long night shift period. It would be good if I don't smell too much like weed. I’ll probably move the harvest to Thursday for that reason. But I’ll see about that. I hope the BPPA puts in a good effort to finish up these last few days. The weather is still crazy, and I think the plants are so worn out from the constant heat that they smell significantly less. Hopefully, I didn’t lose a lot of active compounds there. Maybe I’ve also become nose-blind. Thank you all for your attention! 😎

@BettyFlores, So the last few years the harvests on my balcony have been underwhelming, I moved the balcony boxes around and bought small platforms, if it doesn't work out this year, the balcony will be for vegetable seedlings in the future.😄😊

I once overwatered, and she turned quite yellow... other than that, fertilize, fertilize, fertilize. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, my good man 💜
