This week overall has been a good week not to much growth due to me making some mistakes I.e to much or not enough water also believe that they may have had an abundance of nitrogen in then also. To correct my mistake I did not feed them, I gave moderate water every other day instead of a huge drink every few days. I flushed them with PH 6.5 water, and also moved them into a light shady spot instead of direct light. By doing all the above they have recovered well, not much growth but they are back, and looking good. I did some pruning when they looked good, and strong. Which they took very well and are filling out again! This is my first grow, and I'm learning alot but my biggest thing is remembering I'm a newbie, and these are common mistakes for every new grower. Thanks for stopping by, sorry for not having a before shot but go back to last week and you will see the difference. Just been crazy busy but making sure they are well taken care of. Thanks for you help also everyone, and happy growing!

I'm just wondering if my plants are healthy, and if there is anything else I should be doing. I am new been doing alot of research, reading, following others. They weather has been hot lately around 33 degrees during the day and around 17-19 at night. Will that affect them alot?

Your plants are looking good and some LST is fine. I think the weather is fine, it is not excessively hot. I would not worry about it. Just watch them closely and the normal water and nutrients. Happy growing!

CanuckVetGrwrcommented5 years ago
@Jayzz77, Hey Jay thanks for the heads up. I'm lucky as I put them into the garage at night so that doesnt happen or inside if it drops to cold. However mold could happen another way though so I'm being mindful each day checking them very closely. Hope you were able to save your plant before the mild spread! I'm looking forward to the harvest, thencure and the end product also. Thanks and good luck to you also fellow Ontario, Canadian grower👊👊🤙🤙

CanuckVetGrwrcommented5 years ago
@Kostecs, I've seen, read alot of posts about when the buds get to heavy they can break the branches hense the support! Many ways of supporting them, scrog, tomato cages, bamboo sticks ect.
Kostecs
Kostecscommented5 years ago
@CanuckVetGrwr, thanks man never thought of supporting the branches during bud growth. All the pictures I have seen later in flowering I don't see anyone supporting their branches
CanuckVetGrwr
CanuckVetGrwrcommented5 years ago
@Kostecs, Thanks boss. It's also my first grow. As a reply to how long your gals have I'm not really sure. If I was to guess another 2-4 weeks but not sure. They look wicked and healthy you may need to support the branches as the buds get heavier thou.

Looking good, that's great you're able to bing them in at night. I saw frost warnings tonight for my outdoor plants. No much I can do about it.
CanuckVetGrwr
CanuckVetGrwrcommented5 years ago
@BarrieGrower, I am lucky I can move them for sure but it's because they are in 5 gal pots so helps make it easier while being home owner just me so that helps to lol. I knows crazy how its calling for frost already ug lol.

@BarrieGrower, Right!! I'm a bit nervous about this stage as it can go wrong real fast! Big thing is finding the right time to start flushing out 2 weeks before.

To me they look nice and green , but the medium looks dry. For my garden 500ml in a dry 5 gal pot is not enough. I am in 3 gal fabric pots and water at least 3-4 liters per watering. I’d say you need to water at least 2 liters slowly and allow it to soak in thoroughly. Hopefully that works for you. Good luck
CanuckVetGrwr
CanuckVetGrwrcommented5 years ago
@SAC87, Thanks alot for you insight onto this. I've got them back to drinking a good 1.3 liter of water as I added more medium, and they are back on the growing but it's been hot near 40 celcius here the last few days so they are in shade of awning on my house as it's to much in the direct sunlight but seem to be doing well there. Wish I could put the..into direct light to help them grow more.

How does the soil feel like? Does it feel moist or dry? Maybe a combination of too hot and overwatering or underwatering. Put a finger down the soil and check? Hope they recover anyhow good luck
SmallTownGrower
SmallTownGrowercommented5 years ago
@CanuckVetGrwr, Awesome, happy to help. I hope they recover. Yeah, I figure some shade might help if it's really hot where u at. Happy growing 💪👊
CanuckVetGrwr
CanuckVetGrwrcommented5 years ago
@SmallTownGrower, They seemed to have been dry so I gave them a small drink and now seem to be lifting back up so I'm going to start small amounts of watering tell I see improvements and back to where they were. Also sitting in the shade seems to be helping damn heat here doesn't help. Thanks for your help thou much appreciated
SmallTownGrower
SmallTownGrowercommented5 years ago
@CanuckVetGrwr, Alright, if I would make a guess. Underwatering + perhaps too much heat. I would have put a finger down in the soil and see how it feels like. Maybe put a Soil moisture sensor down the soil to monitor now and for later on. Not sure tbh, I'm def not a professional grower and hopefully someone more experienced can give a better answer.

Canadian

I noticed that your plans are in the fabric pots that is great for not over-watering but your plans seem to be having the other side of the problem that is under watering because of that you should start watering a lot more and don't worry about over-watering because those pots are special for that. Have a happy grow
CanuckVetGrwr
CanuckVetGrwrcommented5 years ago
@Canadian, Very much appreciated for you taking to comment, and give your advice. I've been watering alot more by increasing the amount of water to find that sweet spot. They have bounced back, did some pruning which has not affected them really as they seem to be flourishing big time. Its.my first grow which I started late and maybe I wont get 4-5 plants this year but it's been an amazing learning experience which I have been using to start my indoor bounty now also. Thanks and happy growing to you also!
