Spy-Nello Waiting for the third node to stretch enough, the goal is to keep only the 2 branches from the third node and do 2 more rounds of topping, in order to get 8 main colas per plant.

ho applicato dei ganci per tenere i rami orizzontali, Polar Gelato e Persian Pie si allungano molto mentre Zillions rimane piu' compatta

I applied hooks to keep the branches horizontal. Polar Gelato and Persian Pie stretch a lot, while Zillions stays more compact.

Spy-Nello ITA:
ENG:
The stretching phase is now over. The original plan was to do an extreme lollipopping at this stage and keep only the main top colas, but since 2 out of 3 genetics donโt seem very suitable for this technique because of their long internodal spacing, Iโm going with a hybrid approach: Iโm removing all the small branches growing from the main branches while keeping all the bud sites developing along the main branches, because even if they receive less light, theyโll still be part of the main nutrient flow and should mature at the same time as the top colas (hopefully).

Spy-Nello I noticed theyโve started drinking more water, partly because of the heat as well. NOTE: While watering, I noticed that one main branch had split quite badly, but I donโt see any signs of stress above it. I applied electrical tape... I have no idea how or when it happened. I say this because the wound already seemed to be healing at the time of the photo, and in the previous days I hadnโt noticed any signs of wilting. Polar Gelato doesnโt seem to have suffered any damage โ the affected section is vigorous and keeps pushing. EDIT: Today (end of week 12) the heat has become brutal and difficult to manage... averaging 28.8ยฐC with peaks reaching 29.4ยฐC. Despite this, the plants still seem healthy and donโt appear to be showing any heat stress. Iโll probably end up buying a portable AC unit to bring the room temperature down by a few degrees.

Spy-Nello The heat keeps increasing and the week starts with average temperatures around 28โ29ยฐC with lights on and 23โ24ยฐC during lights off... the anxiety of ruining all the work done so far is definitely kicking in ๐ ๐ฌ
Despite that, the plants are reacting well and arenโt showing any obvious signs of heat stress. Either way, a portable AC unit is arriving tomorrow, which will let me bring the room temperature down ๐
EDIT: Temperature brought back to optimal levels... humidity a bit high during the night probably due to the restoration of the microclimate, but the plants have good airflow so I didnโt intervene.
EDIT: Zillions seems much further along than Polar Gelato and Persian Pie, so Iโll start the flush next week, while for the others Iโll wait a bit longer.

Spy-Nello The 3 genetics all state 56/63 days of flowering, but Zillions is clearly ahead of all of them in terms of maturity and has started the Flawless Finish, while Polar Gelato and Persian Pie are still bulking up. Last week I had some small temperature issues that were resolved with a portable air conditioner; however, this week it's the humidity that's worrying me, I'm struggling to keep it below 55%. I need to make a decision; I will soon cut Zillions, while for Polar Gelato and Persian Pie I wanted to wait at least another week, but if I keep having humidity problems in the box, I think I'll have to cut early... the risk of ruining everything would be too high, the aromas are there and the substance too, the buds are like snow-covered rocks, so in the next few days I'll decide how to proceed... or rather, they will decide for me. ๐

Spy-Nello Now that Zillions is gone, the humidity has returned to normal... I notice a slight foxtailing on the Polar, but it doesn't seem like anything to worry about... I think in the next 7/10 days it will be time for them too.
Zillions is a bush from the very first weeks, the internodes are very short and close together, perfect for techniques like LST and Main-lining. My only "problem" was growing it alongside 2 other genetics that, on the contrary, are very tall, so it wasn't easy to manage. The plant was much shorter and more compact than the others and matured by the end of week 8 of flowering with buds as dense as rocks.

Spy-Nello I cut Zillions even though another week wouldn't have hurt, a bit out of necessity๐๐ and a bit to help the other two that are lagging behind. By removing Zillions, I reduced the leaf mass and consequently lowered the humidity in the box.
Spy-Nello The foxtailing on the polar is becoming more pronounced, but it doesn't seem too problematic. The buds are swollen, the tops are compact, and the smells fill the environment.
Excellent genetics, resistant to everything, and during flowering it has a unique smell.
The smell and taste of this genetics is truly intoxicating, sweet, and recognizable among 1000 others.
