## Germination Week | A New Adventure Begins
Hello GrowDiaries family! ๐๐ฑ
Welcome to the beginning of another journey.
For this run, I've decided to slightly change the way I document my grows. Due to the current photo limitations on GrowDiaries, each phenotype will now receive its own dedicated diary instead of grouping multiple plants together.
This allows me to continue documenting every stage of development in as much detail as possible while selecting the best photographs from each week.
The goal remains exactly the same as always:
To document the entire journey honestly from seed to harvest, sharing observations, successes, mistakes, and lessons learned along the way.
Today, we begin following Cash Express Pheno B.
---
## Every Journey Starts With a Seed
No matter how many grows we complete, there is always something exciting about starting a new seed.
A tiny shell.
A hidden blueprint.
A completely unknown future.
This particular journey follows Cash Express from Zamnesia Seeds, cultivated under a 12/12 from seed schedule from the very first day of life.
A method that is a little different from what most growers choose, but one that has become part of my own cultivation style over time.
As always, I will do my best throughout this diary to explain not only what I am doing, but also why I am doing it, allowing anyone interested to follow the process from beginning to end.
Every phenotype has its own personality.
Every plant teaches something.
And every run becomes part of a larger learning experience.
---
## Germination With the Cannakan System
To start this run, I used the Cannakan germination system.
For those unfamiliar with it, the Cannakan is a compartmentalized germination container designed to keep multiple cultivars organized while maintaining a stable environment.
Each section can be individually labeled, making it easy to keep track of genetics when working with several varieties simultaneously.
The seeds were placed inside using nothing more than plain water.
No nutrients.
No additives.
No stimulants.
Just water.
Approximately 24 hours later, healthy taproots had already emerged and the seeds were ready for the next stage.
Exactly what we like to see.
---
## Why Plain Water?
One question that frequently appears during germination is why I choose not to feed the seedlings immediately.
The answer is simple.
The seed already contains everything it needs to begin life.
Nature has already packed the energy reserves necessary for those first crucial days.
At this stage, I prefer allowing the seed to do what it was designed to do naturally.
The objective is not to feed the plant.
The objective is simply to wake it up.
Water is enough.
---
## First Experience Using Coco Starter Plugs
This run also marks my first experience using coco starter plugs.
The plugs were thoroughly saturated with water and then gently squeezed to remove excess moisture while maintaining a healthy balance between water retention and oxygen availability.
The germinated seeds were carefully inserted into the plugs and placed inside a humidity dome.
The dome did not remain necessary for long.
Within less than 24 hours the seedlings had already emerged and were showing signs of healthy development.
At that point, they were transplanted directly into small containers filled with Plagron Lightmix.
---
## Environment
Environmental conditions were intentionally kept simple.
Temperatures remained around 26โ27ยฐC.
Humidity was maintained between approximately 65โ70% using a Spider Farmer humidifier.
While some growers prefer keeping seedlings inside high-humidity domes for extended periods, I personally prefer allowing them to adapt relatively early to the environment they will actually experience during growth.
The objective is adaptation rather than dependence.
Air movement remains extremely gentle at this stage.
Just enough to keep the air fresh without placing unnecessary stress on young seedlings.
---
## Heat Mat Temperatures
The propagation mat was operating around 40ยฐC.
While this number may appear high initially, it is important to remember that the heat source itself must operate above the desired root-zone temperature in order to compensate for environmental losses.
The seedlings are not exposed directly to 40ยฐC.
Instead, the mat provides the energy necessary to maintain a warm and stable rooting environment, encouraging fast and healthy germination.
---
## Lighting
Lighting during germination is intentionally soft.
Young seedlings simply do not require intense light levels yet.
The goal is healthy establishment rather than aggressive growth.
Once these young plants become properly established, they will move under the Future Of Grow Black Series 600W full-spectrum LED system where the real adventure begins.
We will begin discussing PPFD and light intensity in greater detail during the coming weeks as the plants become capable of utilizing stronger light levels efficiently.
---
## First Observations
So far, everything is progressing exactly as hoped.
Fast germination.
Healthy taproots.
Strong emergence.
Healthy color.
Good vigor.
And most importantly:
A strong start.
At this stage, every plant is still a mystery waiting to unfold.
That uncertainty is part of what makes growing so fascinating.
Every seed carries possibilities that cannot be fully predicted.
And that is exactly why we document the journey.
---
## Looking Ahead
Over the next weeks we will begin following Cash Express Pheno B through the first stages of development.
We'll explore:
- Root establishment
- Early structure
- Environmental management
- Watering strategies
- Light intensity
- Growth observations
- And whatever unique characteristics this phenotype decides to reveal
Because no matter how many times we start a seed, every grow still feels like opening a new book.
And this is only the first page.
Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone joining along for another adventure.

Vegetative Week 1 | Taking Her Time
Hello GrowDiaries family! ๐๐ฑ
Welcome back to the journey of Cash Express Pheno B.
After a successful germination and smooth transition into her final container, this week marks her first full week of vegetative growth as she begins establishing herself inside the new environment.
As with every plant in this project, Pheno B is being grown under a 12/12 From Seed methodology, allowing us to document how individual phenotypes develop when exposed to flowering photoperiods from the very beginning of life.
Although she shares the same room, substrate, nutrition program, and environmental conditions as her sister, she is already beginning to display her own personality.
And thatโs exactly why each phenotype receives its own diary.
โธป
Straight Into The Final Container
Just like the rest of the project, Pheno B was transplanted directly into her final container early in life.
With 12/12 From Seed grows, every day of vegetative development matters. By avoiding multiple transplants later in the cycle, we allow the root system to establish itself immediately in its permanent home.
The objective is simple:
Minimize interruptions.
Maximize root development.
Allow the plant to focus entirely on growth.
At this stage, most of the real work is happening below the soil surface.
โธป
Building Foundations In Lightmix
For this run we are using Plagron Lightmix as our base substrate.
Lightmix provides a balanced environment for young plants by offering gentle nutrition while maintaining excellent aeration and root-zone conditions.
Young seedlings donโt need aggressive feeding.
They need stability.
They need oxygen around the roots.
And they need a healthy environment that allows them to establish themselves naturally.
So far, Pheno B appears very comfortable in her new home.
โธป
Gentle Nutrition Strategy
The first watering after transplant consisted of plain water only.
During the earliest stages of life, seedlings still carry enough energy reserves from the seed itself to support initial growth, especially when combined with the nutrients already available within the substrate.
Around Day 4 we introduced a light feeding program consisting of:
๐ฑ Terra Grow
๐ฑ Pure Zym
๐ฑ Power Roots
๐ฑ Sugar Royal
All products were applied gently with the objective of supporting root expansion, microbial activity, and healthy early development.
At this stage, less is often more.
The goal remains healthy growth rather than rapid growth.
โธป
Light Levels & DLI Considerations
One aspect that often surprises growers following these diaries is the fact that seedlings are already receiving approximately 350 PPFD.
Under traditional 18/6 vegetative schedules, this may appear relatively strong.
However, because this project operates under a 12/12 schedule from seed, the total Daily Light Integral (DLI) remains much lower than it would under longer lighting periods.
This allows us to introduce moderate light intensity early while still maintaining an appropriate overall daily light load.
The objective is to help plants adapt to stronger light from the beginning while avoiding unnecessary stress.
โธป
Environmental Conditions
Conditions remained stable throughout the week:
๐ก๏ธ Day temperature: 27ยฐC
๐ Night temperature: approximately 25ยฐC
๐ง Relative humidity: 55%
๐ฑ Solution temperature: 21ยฐC
๐ฑ Substrate temperature: 21ยฐC
๐ฟ COโ levels: approximately 600 ppm
Maintaining consistency during the seedling stage remains one of the most important factors in achieving healthy development later in the cycle.
So far, the environment has remained exactly where we want it.
โธป
Early Observations
Cash Express Pheno B is already beginning to show slight differences compared to her sister.
While growth has been very similar overall, Pheno B appears slightly more compact and methodical in her development.
Leaf expansion has been steady.
Color remains healthy and vibrant.
The structure is symmetrical and balanced.
By the end of the week, healthy development of the first true leaves is clearly visible, and the plant appears fully settled into her new environment.
Sometimes the most interesting phenotypes are not the fastest ones.
Sometimes theyโre simply the ones that take their own path.
At this stage, Pheno B looks healthy, happy, and ready for the next step of the journey.
โธป
Looking Ahead
As the roots continue exploring the container and nutrient uptake increases, we expect vegetative growth to accelerate over the coming week.
The next stage should reveal more about the structural tendencies of this phenotype and help us better understand how she differs from her sister.
For now, the objective remains unchanged:
Healthy roots.
Stable growth.
Strong foundations.
Everything else comes later.
โธป

DogDoctorOfficial Week 2 - Cash Express (Pheno B) ๐ธ๐ฑ
Hello everyone, and welcome back to another update from the 8ร8 Adventure!
For those joining us for the first time, this project follows multiple Zamnesia cultivars and phenotypes grown side-by-side under a 12/12-from-seed schedule. Every phenotype receives its own dedicated diary so we can document individual development, compare expressions, and follow each plantโs unique journey from seed to harvest.
Rather than combining multiple plants into a single report, Pheno A and Pheno B are documented separately. Even when two plants come from the same pack, they often express themselves differently, and thatโs exactly what makes these side-by-side comparisons so interesting.
This run remains under a 12/12 light schedule from the very first day of life. The goal is not to maximize vegetative size but to explore genetic diversity, plant structure, vigor, and flowering characteristics while maintaining a manageable and educational garden.
Week 2 Overview
The second week has been another excellent one across the entire room.
Growth rates have accelerated noticeably compared to Week 1, root systems continue expanding below the surface, and plants are beginning the transition from seedlings into young vegetative plants.
Lighting intensity has now been increased to approximately 370 ยตmol/mยฒ/s throughout the room, giving the plants additional energy while remaining well within a comfortable range for this stage of development.
Environmental conditions remained stable throughout the week:
โข Light Schedule: 12/12
โข Day Temperature: 27ยฐC
โข Night Temperature: 25ยฐC
โข Relative Humidity: 55%
โข Solution Temperature: 20.1ยฐC
โข Substrate Temperature: 21ยฐC
โข COโ: Ambient (~600 ppm)
Watering remained intentionally controlled.
Each plant received approximately 250 ml on Day 8 and another 250 ml on Day 11.
Nutrient levels were gradually increased throughout the week as the entire room continued responding positively to feeding.
Week-ending values:
โข EC: 0.9 mS/cm
โข pH: 6.0
Current feeding schedule:
โข Terra Grow โ 1.8 ml/L
โข Pure Zym โ 1 ml/L
โข Power Roots โ 1 ml/L
โข Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
The response has been excellent throughout the garden, with healthy color, vigorous growth, and no signs of nutrient stress.
Cash Express Pheno B
Living next to a sibling that seems determined to become the biggest plant in the room is not always an easy job.
Cash Express Pheno A may currently be winning the size competition, but Pheno B is quietly building an impressive case of her own.
While slightly smaller than her sister at this stage, she remains healthy, vigorous, symmetrical, and extremely attractive overall.
One thing that stands out immediately is the consistency of her development.
The plant continues producing healthy leaves with excellent coloration and balanced structure throughout the canopy. Growth remains steady, internodal spacing looks clean, and every new set of leaves arrives looking stronger than the last.
She may not be racing ahead like her sibling, but she is progressing with confidence and stability.
And sometimes those are exactly the traits growers appreciate most later in a run.
Development Notes
Week 2 brought significant progress for this phenotype.
Five-finger leaves are now becoming established, new growth is arriving rapidly, and the plant is building a strong framework for the weeks ahead.
The canopy remains balanced and symmetrical while maintaining a healthy green color across all visible growth.
What I particularly enjoy about this phenotype is that she feels very comfortable in her own lane.
She is not trying to compete.
She is not trying to be the largest.
She is simply growing exactly as she wants to grow.
And she is doing a beautiful job of it.
While her sister attracts attention through sheer vigor and size, Pheno B stands out through balance, consistency, and elegant development.
A Little Macro Photography Fun
One of the highlights of this weekโs update came during a macro photography session.
Tiny water droplets resting on the leaves created beautiful reflections of the LED lighting above, producing some fascinating close-up images.
These little moments are easy to miss during daily garden work, but slowing down and looking closely often reveals an entirely different world hidden within the canopy.
The reflected light patterns inside the droplets created some surprisingly artistic images and offered a fun reminder that there is beauty to be found at every scale inside a grow room.
Not every photograph needs to be about measuring growth.
Sometimes itโs simply about appreciating the details.
Mr. Baggy Report
Mr. Baggy continues his important role as Chief Observation Officer of the 8ร8 Adventure.
Current duties include:
โข Supervising daily garden activities
โข Inspecting plant development
โข Monitoring environmental conditions
โข Participating in weekly photography sessions
โข Providing emotional support to nervous growers
His performance review remains pending.
Looking Ahead
If development continues at its current pace, next week should bring:
โข Continued canopy expansion
โข Larger five-finger leaves
โข Additional node development
โข Stronger stem growth
โข Increasing phenotype expression
โข Further separation between sibling growth patterns
It will be particularly interesting to see whether Pheno B maintains her more compact and balanced structure as the project moves forward.
Final Thoughts
Week 2 leaves me very happy with Cash Express Pheno B.
Healthy growth.
Excellent color.
Strong development.
Balanced structure.
While she may currently be slightly smaller than her sister, she continues demonstrating exactly the qualities growers love to see at this stage of life.
Strong roots.
Healthy leaves.
Steady progress.
And absolutely no signs of slowing down.
Every phenotype tells its own story, and Cash Express Pheno B is already writing a very enjoyable chapter.
A huge thank you to everyone following along, commenting, sharing advice, and supporting the project.
Special thanks to Zamnesia, Plagron, Future of Grow, and everyone helping make this adventure possible.
Most importantly, thank you to the growing community. Your support, knowledge, encouragement, and passion are what make projects like this so enjoyable to document and share.
Thank you for stopping by, and Iโll see you all next week for another update from the 8ร8 Adventure.

Small Sister, Big Potential
Welcome back to another week of the 8ร8 Adventure, where every phenotype earns its own place in the spotlight. While sister plants may share the same parents, they rarely tell exactly the same storyโand that is one of the most fascinating parts of growing from seed.
This week brings us to Cash Express Pheno B, the quieter sister of the pair.
At first glance she may appear slightly behind Pheno A in overall size and development, but spending a little time with the photographs reveals something far more interesting.
This is not a weak plant.
This is a plant writing her own chapter.

Cash Express Pheno B
If Pheno A represents symmetry and textbook structure, Pheno B represents individuality.
She is slightly smaller.
A little less aggressive.
A little less imposing.
But she possesses something equally valuable.
Character.
Looking at the canopy from above, the first thing that stands out is how compact and tidy she remains. While her sister is charging forward with obvious vigor, Pheno B appears to be investing more energy into establishing structure before accelerating upward.
The leaves are healthy and evenly colored.
The stems remain strong.
The new growth is vibrant and active.
Most importantly, the plant shows no signs of struggling despite her slightly slower pace.
In fact, many experienced growers learn over time that the fastest seedling is not always the plant that finishes strongest.
Some phenotypes sprint.
Others build momentum.
Right now, Pheno B feels very much like the second type.
โธป
A Different Growth Rhythm
One of the most interesting aspects of growing multiple phenotypes side by side is seeing how differently plants can respond under identical conditions.
Same tent.
Same nutrients.
Same environment.
Same light.
Yet each plant interprets those conditions through its own genetic lens.
Cash Express Pheno B seems to prefer a more measured approach.
The internodes remain relatively compact.
The branching is beginning to establish itself.
The center of the plant is becoming increasingly busy with fresh growth.
And while she may not command attention immediately through sheer size, she rewards closer observation.
There is a quiet confidence developing here.
A feeling that she is preparing rather than rushing.
โธป
Healthy Signs Everywhere
Several positive observations stand out this week:
* Excellent leaf color throughout the canopy
* Strong, healthy petiole development
* Compact structure
* Good node formation
* Active new growth
* Positive response to increased feeding and PPFD
The fresh growth emerging from the center is particularly encouraging.
Those younger leaves display the lighter green color typical of rapidly expanding tissue, showing that the plant is actively building new biomass and continuing to adapt to the increased light levels.
Nothing about this plant suggests limitation.
Only a slightly different timetable.
โธป
The Beauty of Phenotype Variation
One of the goals of documenting every phenotype separately is to capture these subtle differences.
If both sisters looked identical, there would be little to learn.
Instead, we get to observe how two related plants express themselves in unique ways.
Pheno A currently impresses through vigor and structure.
Pheno B impresses through balance and composure.
Both approaches are valid.
Both are beautiful.
And both deserve their own spotlight.
Sometimes the plant that receives less attention early on becomes the one that surprises everyone later.
Iโve seen that story play out many times before.
Perhaps Pheno B has a surprise waiting for us too.
โธป
Looking Ahead
Over the coming week I will be watching closely for:
* Increased branch development
* Changes in growth rate under the higher PPFD
* Early flowering indicators from the 12/12 schedule
* Structural differences compared to Pheno A
* Signs of unique phenotype expression
At this stage she remains healthy, happy, and steadily progressing.
And honestly, thatโs exactly what I want to see.
No drama.
No problems.
Just growth.
โธป
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone following along with this project.
Thank you to the GrowDiaries community for creating a place where growers from around the world can learn from one another.
Thank you to Plagron for supporting this cultivation journey.
Thank you to Zamnesia for the genetics and the opportunity to document these cultivars from seed to harvest.
And thank you to every grower who takes the time to stop by, leave a comment, share advice, or simply enjoy the journey.
Every plant has a story.
Some tell it loudly.
Others tell it quietly.
This week, Cash Express Pheno B reminds us that quiet stories are often worth listening to.

DogDoctorOfficial ๐ฑ 8ร8 Adventure โ Cash Express (Plant B) | Week 4
Taking Her Time to Build Something Special
Welcome back to another update from my 8ร8 Adventure, where twelve unique genetics are growing together under identical conditions while every phenotype receives its own individual diary. This project is all about discovering how different plants express themselves, even when sharing the same environment, feeding schedule, and care.
This week belongs to Cash Express โ Plant B, and although sheโs following the same path as her sister, sheโs choosing to walk it at her own pace. While Plant A has already started flirting with pre-flowering, this beautiful lady is still fully focused on building her vegetative structure before making the transition.
And honestlyโฆ I love seeing those differences.
โธป
๐ฟ Life Inside the 8ร8 Jungle
Everything inside the tent continues running smoothly as the entire garden moves closer to flowering.
The ecosystem remains stable, allowing every phenotype to express its own personality without environmental stress influencing the outcome. Healthy airflow, consistent temperatures, and balanced humidity continue creating the perfect conditions for vigorous growth.
One of the things I enjoy most about this project is watching twelve different cultivars evolve together while still behaving completely differently.
Cash Express B is proving that genetics always have the final word.
โธป
๐ง Feeding Program
This week she continued receiving the same balanced nutrition as the rest of the garden.
Feeding Schedule
โข Plagron Terra Grow
โข Plagron Power Roots
โข Plagron Pure Zym
โข Plagron Vita Race (foliar)
The plants continue responding with lush green foliage, healthy stems, and steady growth, confirming that the feeding strategy remains right where it needs to be.
โธป
๐ฑ Growth & Development
Although slightly behind her sister in maturity, Plant B has developed into a beautifully balanced plant.
Her structure is compact but steadily stretching upward, and sheโs beginning to establish herself as one of the taller ladies in the room. Every day she adds a little more height while continuing to strengthen the lower branching that will support future flower sites.
Unlike Plant A, Iโm not officially calling pre-flower on this phenotype just yet.
The growth tips are becoming increasingly active, but sheโs still investing most of her energy into vegetative expansion rather than reproductive growth.
Sometimes patience produces the biggest surprises later in flower.
Her leaf color remains vibrant, stems are becoming thicker by the day, and new growth appears healthy and vigorous across the entire plant.
โธป
โ๏ธ Low Stress Training
Training this week remained gentle and intentional.
Leaf tucking and light Low Stress Training continue opening the canopy while allowing more light to reach the developing side branches.
Sheโs responding exactly how I hoped.
Each adjustment encourages additional branching without slowing her natural momentum, and the canopy is beginning to widen nicely while maintaining excellent symmetry.
Rather than forcing her into shape, Iโm simply guiding her and letting her genetics do the rest.
โธป
๐ Looking Ahead
Over the coming week Iโll continue allowing Plant B to dictate the pace.
Thereโs no rush.
Iโll keep encouraging lateral growth through gentle LST, continue opening the canopy with occasional leaf tucking, and wait patiently for her to announce the beginning of flowering in her own time.
With the way sheโs developing now, I expect sheโll reward that patience with a strong, well-balanced canopy ready to support plenty of flowering sites.
Every day sheโs becoming a little stronger, a little wider, and a little closer to showing exactly what this phenotype has hidden inside.
โธป
๐ Final Thoughts
This is exactly why I love running phenotype hunts.
Two sisters.
The same genetics.
The same environment.
The same feeding schedule.
Yet completely different personalities.
Cash Express Plant B reminds us that every plant has her own rhythm. Sheโs calm, methodical, and focused on building a solid foundation before taking the next step.
Sometimes those are the plants that surprise us the most when harvest day finally arrives.
Iโm excited to watch her story unfold over the coming weeks.
Thank you all for following this 8ร8 Adventure and for joining me on another chapter of this incredible journey.
A huge thank you to Plagron for providing the nutrition that keeps this garden thriving, Zamnesia for supplying the genetics and equipment that make this project possible, and of course to the amazing GrowDiaries community for all the support, inspiration, and shared knowledge.
Growers Love and see you all in the next update, where this beautiful lady may finally decide itโs time to join her sister and begin the next stage of her adventure. ๐ฑ๐

Week 5 | Every Plant Has Its Own Clock
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8ร8 Adventure!
One of the things I love most about running multiple phenotypes side by side is that they constantly remind me that plants donโt read our schedulesโthey write their own.
This project follows several phenotypes from the same seed line, all grown under identical environmental conditions using the 12/12 From Seed method. Rather than deciding when flowering begins by changing the light cycle, every plant receives 12 hours of light from the day she germinates, allowing each individual to determine when sheโs biologically ready to begin reproduction.
Cash Express Pheno B has reached that exciting milestone.
While she took a little longer than her sister to get there, this week she officially earned her place in Flower Week 1.
Different pace.
Same destination.
โธป
๐ผ Welcome to Flower Week One
This week brought the first unmistakable signs that vegetative growth is now giving way to flowering.
Fresh white pistils are beginning to emerge from the developing tops, signalling that this beautiful lady has officially entered her reproductive stage.
Those tiny white hairs are the first building blocks of what will eventually become dense, resin-covered flowers.
Although the transition is still in its early days, itโs amazing how quickly the plant changes once she makes that decision.
Stretch has begun.
The internodes are opening slightly.
New growth is becoming more focused around future bud sites.
The adventure has truly entered a new chapter.
โธป
๐ฑ Hand Feeding Every Step of the Way
Unlike her sister, this phenotype is not growing on the AutoPot system.
She continues to be hand-fed, allowing me complete control over each irrigation and giving me the opportunity to monitor her response closely throughout this important transition.
Each watering becomes another chance to observe the plant, inspect leaf posture, evaluate the substrate, and adjust nutrition only when necessary.
Itโs a slower approach than automation, but one that provides a very personal connection with the plant.
Sometimes itโs nice letting technology do the work.
Sometimes itโs equally rewarding getting your hands dirty.
This lady definitely belongs in the second category.

As flowering begins, the nutrition program gradually shifts from supporting vegetative growth toward encouraging flower initiation while still providing enough nitrogen to support the ongoing stretch.
The balance during these first weeks is incredibly important.
Too much bloom nutrition too early can slow development.
Too little can delay flower formation.
This stage is all about finding that sweet spot.
โธป
๐ก๏ธ Room Conditions
The environment remained stable throughout the week.
โข Day temperature averaged 31.1ยฐC
โข Night temperature settled around 25ยฐC
โข Relative humidity averaged 72%
โข Nutrient solution remained close to 24.2ยฐC
โข Root zone stayed near 21ยฐC
โข Atmospheric COโ averaged 639 ppm
Humidity is intentionally kept a little higher during this early flowering transition.
At this stage the plants are still stretching rapidly, producing large amounts of fresh foliage and demanding plenty of water movement throughout the canopy.
As flowers continue developing over the coming weeks, humidity will gradually be reduced to create ideal conditions for dense, healthy bud formation.
โธป
๐ธ Studio Time
This week I decided to give Pheno B her own little modelling session.
The studio photographs from every angleโincluding birdโs-eye views, side profiles, and even under-canopy shotsโallow us to document her architecture in detail before flowering really transforms her.
These photographs are much more than pretty pictures.
Theyโre a visual timeline.
Months from now weโll be able to compare structure, node spacing, flower development and canopy evolution from the very beginning all the way to harvest.
Itโs one of my favourite parts of keeping these diaries.
Every photograph captures a moment that will never exist again.
โธป
๐ Looking Ahead
Next week should bring a noticeable acceleration in flower development.
I expect the pistils to multiply rapidly while the initial stretch continues, creating more defined bud sites throughout the canopy.
Weโll also continue monitoring her structure as flowering progresses, making only gentle adjustments if needed to maintain airflow and light penetration.
For now, patience is the best training technique.
Sometimes the hardest job a grower hasโฆ
โฆis simply allowing the plant to do what she already knows how to do.

Week 6 | Elegance in Every Leaf
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8ร8 Adventure!
One of the greatest joys of a phenotype hunt is discovering that every plant has its own personality.
Some demand attention with explosive growth.
Some race toward the finish line.
Others quietly develop into something special without ever asking to be the centre of attention.
Cash Express Pheno B belongs to that last group.
She isn't the tallest plant in the room.
She isn't the fastest.
She isn't trying to compete with anyone.
She's simply growing exactly as she wants toโand every week she becomes a little more beautiful because of it.
๐ฟ A Plant That Speaks Through Her Leaves
One of the first things that catches my eye every time I visit this lady is her foliage.
Large, perfectly formed seven-finger fan leaves stretch confidently toward the light, creating one of the cleanest leaf structures in the entire room.
They're deep green.
Healthy.
Symmetrical.
Every leaf almost looks like it was carefully drawn before nature decided to build it.
For me, leaves tell an important part of a plant's story.
Long before the flowers reach their full potential, healthy foliage tells us that the engine driving everything underneath is working exactly as it should.
And this engine is running beautifully.
๐ผ The Flowering Story Begins
Flower development is now becoming more obvious throughout the canopy.
The first clusters of white pistils continue multiplying, and what were small pre-flowers only a week ago are now beginning to resemble true bud sites.
This is one of my favourite stages of cultivation.
Every day the changes are subtle...
Yet when you compare photographs from one week to the next, it's amazing how quickly those tiny flowers begin stacking into something much more impressive.
She's still directing a good portion of her energy toward the final stretch, but you can already see that her priorities are changing.
Less focus on producing new branches.
More focus on building flowers.
Week by week, she'll continue shifting her energy away from growing taller and toward creating the dense blooms we're all waiting for.
๐ Sometimes the Best Training Is No Training
This week has been wonderfully uneventful.
No defoliation.
No heavy training.
No major adjustments.
Just a little gentle leaf tucking whenever a fan leaf decided to shade a developing flower site.
I've learned over the years that these early flowering weeks are often best approached with patience rather than scissors.
The plant is making enormous hormonal changes during this transition, and I prefer disturbing her as little as possible while she settles into her new rhythm.
Sometimes growers feel the need to do something every day.
Sometimes the smartest decision is simply to observe.
This week, observation was more than enough.
๐ฝ๏ธ Feeding
The nutrition program continues supporting both the final stretch and early flower development.
This week's feeding included:
โข Terra Bloom โ 1.9 ml/L
โข Pure Zym โ 1 ml/L
โข Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
โข Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
Along with small pH adjustments using Lemon Kick and pH Plus whenever necessary.
Unlike some of her sisters, Pheno B isn't asking for much more just yet.
A few older leaves have begun naturally giving back some stored nutrients, but nothing suggests she's under stress.
It's simply another reminder that plants recycle energy where it's needed most.
For now, she's happy.
And so am I.
๐ก๏ธ Environment
The flowering room continues running exactly as planned.
โข Day temperature averaged 29ยฐC
โข Night temperature remained around 25ยฐC
โข Relative humidity averaged 60%
โข Solution temperature stayed close to 24ยฐC
โข Root zone remained near 21ยฐC
โข Atmospheric COโ averaged 639 ppm
With stable environmental conditions and consistent feeding, the plant can dedicate nearly all of her energy to flower production instead of constantly adapting to changing conditions.
Consistency is often the secret ingredient behind healthy gardens.
๐ธ Behind This Week's Photos
This week's photographs highlight something I absolutely love about this phenotype.
The architecture is incredibly elegant.
The internode spacing is balanced.
The branching remains clean and open.
And those beautiful seven-finger fan leaves frame every developing flower site almost perfectly.
The close-up shots reveal fresh pistils reaching confidently into the light, while the full-plant photographs show a structure that should provide excellent airflow throughout flowering.
There's a calm confidence about this plant.
She isn't trying to impress anyone.
She simply looks comfortable being herself.
Sometimes those are the phenotypes that surprise you the most by harvest day.
๐ Looking Ahead
Next week should mark another exciting step in her journey.
I expect the stretch to begin slowing as the flowers take over as the plant's primary focus.
Those small clusters of pistils should begin stacking together, giving us our first glimpse of the colas she'll eventually produce.
We'll continue with the same philosophy:
Minimal interference.
Gentle leaf tucking when necessary.
Careful observation.
And letting the plant decide the pace.
Sometimes the best growers aren't the ones who do the most.
They're the ones who know when to simply watch nature do what it has perfected over millions of years.
๐ Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone following this adventure.

? Plagron for supplying the nutrition program supporting every stage of this grow.
๐ก Future of Grow LED for delivering powerful, consistent lighting throughout the flowering room.
๐ฟ TrolMaster for maintaining the stable environment that allows every phenotype to perform at its best.
And finally...
Thank you to every grower, supporter, silent reader, friend and curious visitor who stops by these diaries. Every comment, question and discussion makes this project even more enjoyable to share.
I'll see you all next week as Cash Express Pheno B continues writing her own storyโone leaf, one flower and one beautiful week at a time.

Week 7 | Grace in Full Bloom
Welcome back to another week of the 8ร8 Adventure! ๐๐ฑ
One of the reasons I enjoy phenotype hunts so much is that they constantly remind me there is no such thing as a "perfect" plant.
Every phenotype finds its own balance.
Some become giants.
Some stay compact.
Some grow with explosive vigour.
Others impress through elegance.
Cash Express Pheno B continues to fall into that last category.
She isn't the biggest plant in the room.
She isn't the smallest either.
She's simply developing into a wonderfully balanced lady with beautiful structure, healthy growth and one of the nicest leaf formations in the entire tent.
Week after week, she keeps giving me more reasons to smile.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฟ A Beautiful Balance
As flowering progresses, Pheno B is showing exactly why patience is so rewarding.
Her stretch has been steady and controlled, creating a tall, elegant structure with excellent spacing between flowering sites. Every branch has room to breathe, while the canopy remains beautifully open for airflow and light penetration.
She has reached around 90 cm this week, making her one of the medium-sized ladies in the room.
Not towering above everyone...
Not hiding beneath the canopy...
Just perfectly balanced.
Sometimes that's exactly where the magic happens.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ Leaves Like Open Hands
Every time I look at this plant, one feature immediately catches my attention.
Her leaves.
They're absolutely gorgeous.
Large, healthy seven-finger fan leaves spread wide open, almost like welcoming hands reaching toward the light.
They have that deep healthy green colour every grower loves to see, with perfectly formed leaflets and beautiful symmetry throughout the plant.
Healthy foliage tells us a great deal before harvest ever arrives.
Strong leaves mean efficient photosynthesis.
Efficient photosynthesis means more energy.
And more energy ultimately becomes flowers.
Nature has built a wonderful engine here, and it's running beautifully.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ Flowers Begin Taking Centre Stage
The flowers continue developing exactly as I hoped.
Every branch is now carrying clusters of bright white pistils that are beginning to stack together more noticeably than last week.
The plant is clearly shifting her priorities.
The stretch is slowing.
Flower production is accelerating.
While they're still early in development, the bud sites are becoming increasingly defined, giving us a much clearer picture of what this phenotype may become over the coming weeks.
It's one of those exciting stages where every morning seems to bring a little more growth than the day before.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ก Light From Above... And Below
As the canopy continues filling out, the combination of overhead lighting from the Future of Grow Black Series LED together with the LumiFlora under-canopy lights is creating an environment where every flowering site has the opportunity to thrive.
The additional light beneath the canopy helps illuminate lower bud sites that would otherwise receive considerably less energy.
Combined with her naturally open structure, this should allow more uniform flower development throughout the entire plant.
It's another small detail that I'm very excited to evaluate as we move deeper into flowering.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฑ Feeding
The AutoPot system continues quietly doing what it does best, supplying fresh nutrient solution whenever the plant requests it and allowing the roots to remain consistently hydrated without overthinking irrigation schedules.
This week's reservoir consisted of:
โข Plagron Terra Bloom โ 2 ml/L
โข Plagron Pure Zym โ 1 ml/L
โข Plagron Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
โข Plagron Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
pH adjusted to 5.8 using Lemon Kick and pH Plus when required.
Everything remains stable, and the plant continues responding with healthy foliage and steady flower production.
Sometimes consistency really is the best feeding strategy.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ก๏ธ Environment
Environmental conditions remained very stable throughout the week, giving the entire room exactly what it needed during this important flowering phase.
๐ก๏ธ Day temperature: 29ยฐC
๐ Night temperature: 25ยฐC
๐ง Relative humidity: 60%
๐ฅฅ Root zone temperature: 21ยฐC
๐ฆ Solution temperature: 24ยฐC
โ๏ธ pH: 5.8
โก EC: 1.95 mS/cm
๐จ COโ: 639 ppm
๐ก Light schedule: 12/12
When the environment remains this consistent, the plants can spend less energy adapting and more energy building flowers.
That's exactly what we're seeing here.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ Behind the Lens
This week's photographs showcase everything I enjoy about this phenotype.
The close-ups reveal fresh white pistils reaching confidently upward while the overhead shots highlight those incredible seven-finger leaves radiating around each developing flower like a natural frame.
The full-plant portraits show an elegant architecture with evenly spaced branches and excellent internodal distance.
She's becoming one of those plants that's simply enjoyable to photograph.
Every angle seems to reveal another beautiful detail.
And somehow she manages to look graceful without ever trying too hard.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ Looking Ahead
The coming weeks should be where things become really exciting.
I expect the remaining stretch to slow even further while the flowers begin stacking more aggressively along every branch.
Resin production should gradually begin increasing, and those beautiful clusters of pistils will slowly transform into proper colas.
From here forward, my job remains simple.
Maintain the environment.
Keep the reservoir stable.
Tuck the occasional leaf when needed.
Then step back and let the genetics tell the rest of the story.
Sometimes the best growers aren't directing the performance.
They're simply giving nature the perfect stage.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ

Week 8 | Same Genetics, Different Expression
Welcome back to another week of the 8ร8 Adventure! ๐๐ฑ
If you've been following this phenotype hunt, you've probably already noticed something fascinating about Cash Express.
There are two sisters in this room.
Same genetics.
Same environment.
Same lighting.
Same irrigation system.
Same nutrient solution.
And yet...
They are becoming two very different plants.
That is exactly why I love growing multiple phenotypes side by side.
Genetics don't produce copies. They produce possibilities.
Cash Express Pheno B continues moving beautifully through flowering, and this week she's showing even more clearly what makes her different from her sister.
She's a little taller.
Her branching is different.
And most importantly, her flowers are developing with a completely different structure.
And I absolutely love it.
๐ฟ Same Genetics... Different Personality
When you place Pheno A and Pheno B beside each other, the differences become much easier to appreciate.
Pheno A has developed into a smaller, more compact and almost perfectly symmetrical plant.
Pheno B chose a different path.
She's taller, more elongated and more open through the canopy.
Her flowering sites have developed along the branches in a different pattern, giving the plant a completely different visual character.
Neither one is better.
Neither one is worse.
They're simply different expressions of the same genetic family.
And this is exactly what a phenotype hunt is supposed to reveal.
You can grow two plants from the same genetics, give them the same treatment from beginning to end, and still end up with two ladies that look, smell and develop differently.
That's the beauty of genetics.
๐ธ The White Hairs Are Taking Over
Flower development has really started becoming the main event this week.
The white pistils are everywhere.
Every flowering site seems to be reaching outward, creating those beautiful little explosions of white hairs that make the plant look almost alive in motion.
The flowers are also becoming much easier to define.
We're moving beyond the stage where they simply looked like little flowering points.
Now they're beginning to look like actual developing flowers.
And this is where patience becomes important.
There's still a lot of development ahead.
The pistils are abundant, but the flowers themselves still have plenty of time to build density and volume.
So while she is already looking impressive...
We're nowhere near the final product yet.
Two Phenotypes, Two Flower Structures
This is probably one of my favourite observations this week.
When I look at Pheno A and Pheno B, the difference isn't just plant height.
Their flowers themselves are developing differently.
Pheno B is creating a more elongated, layered structure along the branches, while Pheno A has been showing a more compact and chunky architecture.
It's subtle now.
But as flowering progresses, these differences should become even more pronounced.
And this is one of those moments where I don't want to interfere too much.
I don't want to force one phenotype to behave like the other.
I want to see what Pheno B wants to become.
That's the whole point.
Let the genetics speak.
? Healthy, Happy and Hungry
One thing is very clear when looking at this girl:
She's hungry.
We've increased the nutrient concentration slightly again this week.
Yes, we're now running above what the basic feeding chart would normally suggest.
But plants don't read feeding charts.
They respond to their environment, their root systems, their metabolism and their genetic demands.
And these girls have been demanding more.
So we're providing more โ while watching them closely.
This isn't about blindly pushing nutrients higher.
It's about observing the plant and responding to what she's actually showing us.
And Pheno B is giving us some very good feedback.
The foliage remains healthy.
The flowers continue developing strongly.
The plant is actively producing.
And there are no obvious signs that she's unhappy with the increased concentration.
So for now, we're listening.
๐ The Leaves Tell the Story
One of the things I really appreciate about this phenotype is how healthy her foliage continues to look.
The leaves are deep green, well formed and beautifully structured.
There's a lot of life in this plant.
When you combine that healthy canopy with the amount of flowering activity we're seeing, it's difficult not to call this girl a little lush.
She's simply thriving.
And that's an important distinction.
We're seeing plenty of flowering activity without the plant looking exhausted or unhappy.
She's still carrying herself with confidence.
Still producing new pistils.
Still building.
Still hungry.
That's exactly where I want her at this stage.
About Those Purple Stems...
Now let's talk about something that's visible.
Because if it's there, I think it's worth documenting.
There is some purplish coloration appearing through portions of the stems and petioles.
It's definitely present.
But at this point, I'm not seeing a reason to panic about it.
Why?
Because the plant doesn't look distressed.
The leaves look healthy.
The flowering sites are developing.
The pistils are coming in strongly.
There's no obvious widespread deterioration accompanying the coloration.
And most importantly, the plant is behaving like a happy plant.
Stem and petiole coloration can have several causes, including genetics and environmental influences, so I'm not going to automatically label it as a deficiency simply because I can see purple.
For now, it's something we're observing.
It's part of her phenotype.
If the coloration progresses together with other symptoms, then it becomes a different conversation.
But right now?
It's there. We're documenting it. We're watching it. And we're not going to invent a problem that the plant isn't showing us.
That's an important part of reading plants.
๐ The Terpene Story Is Beginning
The smell is also starting to become more interesting.
At this stage, we're still relatively early in the development of the full aromatic profile.
So I'm not going to pretend that we're already smelling the finished Cash Express.
We're not.
Right now, the overall aroma remains fairly typical for this stage of flowering, and there are still similarities across the room.
But...
If you spend enough time around twelve different plants every day, you start noticing little differences.
And that's what I'm beginning to notice now.
The plants are slowly separating themselves aromatically.
Pheno A and Pheno B currently seem to share a similar general terpene direction.
They're not identical, but there is a recognizable family resemblance.
And I'm very curious to see whether that similarity remains as the flowers mature.
Because sometimes the differences become much more obvious later in flowering.
For now, I'm simply enjoying the first hints.
๐ก Above and Below
The combination of the overhead Future of Grow Black Series LED and the LumiFlora under-canopy lighting continues giving this girl plenty of light throughout her structure.
Her naturally more open architecture works beautifully with this setup.
The flowers aren't packed into one giant wall of foliage.
There's space between the branches.
There's airflow.
There's light penetration.
And the lower flowering sites aren't completely forgotten.
It's another interesting contrast with Pheno A, whose more compact structure creates a very different light distribution.
Same room.
Same lights.
Different architecture.
And once again, the plant itself changes the equation.
๐ก๏ธ Environment
The room continues providing a remarkably consistent environment for all twelve phenotypes.
๐ก๏ธ Day temperature: 29ยฐC
๐ Night temperature: 25ยฐC
๐ง Relative humidity: 60%
๐ฅฅ Root zone temperature: 21ยฐC
๐ฆ Nutrient solution temperature: 24ยฐC
โ๏ธ pH: 6.0
โก EC: approximately 2.0 mS/cm
๐จ COโ: 639 ppm
๐ก Light schedule: 12/12
? Pot size: 15 L
๐ง Water consumption: approximately 1.3 L/24h
Once again, consistency remains one of the biggest advantages of this experiment.
With twelve different cultivars sharing the same environment, the plants themselves become the variables we're watching.
And Cash Express Pheno B is definitely writing her own chapter.
๐ฑ Feeding
This week we made another small increase to the nutrient concentration.
The current reservoir is running:
Plagron Terra Bloom โ 2.2 ml/L
Plagron Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
Plagron Green Sensation โ 1 ml/L
Plagron Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
pH adjustment with Lemon Kick / pH Plus as required.
The important part here isn't simply the numbers.
It's the response.
These girls are demanding.
They're actively flowering, they're consuming, and they're telling us that they're capable of using more.
So we're providing it.
But we're also watching.
No blind chasing of numbers.
No feeding harder simply because we can.
Observe โ respond โ observe again.
That's the philosophy.
๐ธ Behind the Lens
This phenotype is becoming a photographer's dream.
The photographs this week really show the differences between the sisters.
Her flowers have their own architecture.
Her leaves frame the flowers differently.
Her taller structure creates different perspectives throughout the plant.
And those white pistils...
They're absolutely everywhere.
Some of the close-ups almost look like little fireworks exploding from the tops of the flowers.
The resin coverage is also becoming increasingly visible on the sugar leaves, giving us those beautiful sparkling edges that become so addictive to photograph.
And I have to say...
This girl is beautiful.
Not because she's the biggest.
Not because she's the fastest.
Not because she's trying to dominate the room.
She's beautiful because she's becoming exactly what she is supposed to become.
๐ Quick Recap
So where are we now?
๐ Cash Express Pheno B is thriving.
๐ฟ She's taller and more open than her sister.
๐ธ Flower formation is clearly different from Pheno A.
? White pistils are multiplying rapidly across the canopy.
๐ Foliage remains healthy and vigorous.
The phenotype is becoming increasingly recognizable.
๐ The terpene profile is beginning to show itself, although it's still early.
๐ Some purple coloration is visible in stems and petioles, but currently without accompanying signs of significant plant stress.
๐ฑ She's hungry, so we've increased nutrition slightly again.
And most importantly...
She's happy.
๐ฎ What I Expect Next Week
Next week, I expect the flowers to become more substantial.
The pistils will probably continue appearing in large numbers, while the actual flower mass slowly catches up with all that beautiful white hair.
I expect the structure of Pheno B to become even easier to distinguish from Pheno A.
The terpene profile may also start becoming more interesting as the flowers mature.
And I'm especially curious about the purple coloration.
Not because I'm worried about it...
But because I want to see whether it remains part of her natural expression or becomes more pronounced as flowering progresses.
What I DON'T expect:
I don't expect these flowers to suddenly look finished.
I don't expect the final terpene profile to be completely obvious yet.
And I certainly don't expect Pheno B to suddenly start looking like her sister.
She's already told us that's not who she is.
And I wouldn't want it any other way.
๐ฑ The Beauty of a Phenotype Hunt
This is probably the biggest lesson this week.
When you're growing twelve different cultivars together, it's very easy to look at differences and immediately ask:
"Which one is better?"
But that's not really the right question.
The better question is:
"What makes this one different?"
Pheno A has her own personality.
Pheno B has hers.
And both are fascinating.
The goal isn't to make them identical.
The goal is to discover what each one carries within its genetics.
That's what makes this 8ร8 Adventure so much fun.
We're not just growing plants.
We're watching twelve different genetic stories unfold under the same conditions.
And Cash Express Pheno B is writing a particularly beautiful chapter right now.

It means a lot.
This project is about more than chasing numbers or comparing yields.
It's about watching nature express itself.
And this week, Cash Express Pheno B is reminding us once again that same genetics doesn't mean same plant.
She's taller than her sister.
She's built differently.
She's flowering differently.
She's beginning to reveal her own aromatic personality.
And she's absolutely beautiful doing it.
Growers Love, and I'll see you all next week as Cash Express Pheno B continues writing her own story in the 8ร8 Adventure. ๐๐๐ฑ
PS- we did defoliate a few leafs here and there
