Like every plant in this project, she was transplanted directly into her final container shortly after germination and introduced to the exact same environment, feeding schedule, and lighting conditions as the rest of the garden. And while her first days showed a tiny imperfection, she quickly reminded us why patience is one of the most important tools a grower can have. ⸻ Building Foundations As with all plants in this run, Godfather OG Pheno B was transplanted directly into her final container filled with Plagron Lightmix. The reasoning remains simple. Since this project is being grown under a 12/12 From Seed methodology, we want root development to begin immediately inside the container where the plant will spend its entire life. No future transplants. No interruptions. No unnecessary stress. Just a direct path from seed to harvest. Throughout the week, she adapted beautifully to her new environment and began establishing herself beneath the surface long before most of the growth became visible above it. ⸻ Early Nutrition The first irrigation consisted only of water, allowing the seedling to settle naturally into the substrate. Several days later, we introduced a gentle feeding program consisting of: 🌱 Terra Grow 🌱 Pure Zym 🌱 Power Roots 🌱 Sugar Royal Applied at low dosages, these products help encourage root development, biological activity, and steady early growth without pushing young seedlings too aggressively. At this stage, we are not chasing size. We are building healthy foundations. ⸻ Environmental Conditions Conditions remained stable throughout the week: 🌡️ Day Temperature: 27°C 🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C 💧 Relative Humidity: 55% 🌱 Solution Temperature: 21°C 🌱 Substrate Temperature: 21°C 🌿 CO₂ Levels: Approximately 600 ppm Lighting remained around 350 PPFD under a 12/12 light schedule. While some growers may associate 350 PPFD with larger plants, under a 12-hour photoperiod the overall Daily Light Integral remains moderate, allowing seedlings to adapt early to stronger light levels without becoming overwhelmed. The objective is to create sturdy, resilient plants from the very beginning. ⸻ A Small Scar From The Beginning One of the first things noticeable on this phenotype was a slight imperfection on one of the early leaves. Whether caused by a minor environmental factor, a little mechanical damage, or simply something that happened during emergence, one leaf showed a small blemish during the first days of growth. The important lesson here is that seedlings do not need to be perfect to become exceptional plants. Because as the week progressed, that tiny imperfection became less and less important. Why? Because everything else was developing beautifully. ⸻ Finding Her Rhythm As the days passed, Godfather OG Pheno B began displaying increasingly symmetrical growth. New leaves emerged healthy. Color remained vibrant. Growth stayed consistent. And by the end of the week she had developed a very attractive structure with nicely formed three-finger leaves and excellent symmetry when viewed from above. In fact, one of the most striking aspects of this phenotype is how balanced she now appears. The damaged leaf remains visible as a small reminder of her early days, but the new growth tells a completely different story. Strong. Healthy. Confident. And increasingly beautiful. ⸻ The View From Above Looking down on her at the end of the week reveals what may become one of the standout traits of this phenotype. The leaf arrangement is clean. The structure is balanced. The growth pattern is orderly and symmetrical. Sometimes a plant simply gives you a feeling. And this one is starting to give exactly that. For anyone joining us for the first time, this project follows multiple Zamnesia cultivars grown side-by-side under a 12/12-from-seed schedule. Every phenotype receives its own dedicated diary so we can properly document individual development, compare genetic expressions, and follow each plant from seed to harvest. Each plant receives an individual report because even sister plants can express themselves very differently. Some become textbook examples of symmetry and uniform growth, while others immediately begin writing their own story. This diary is dedicated to one of those plants. And honestly? I’m smiling every time I look at her. ⸻ Week 2 Overview Week 2 has brought another round of healthy development throughout the 8×8 Adventure. The entire room continues progressing steadily as root systems establish themselves and plants transition from early seedling growth into more active vegetative development. Environmental conditions remained stable throughout the week: • Light Schedule: 12/12 • Day Temperature: 27°C • Night Temperature: 25°C • Relative Humidity: 55% • Solution Temperature: 20.1°C • Substrate Temperature: 21°C • CO₂: Ambient (~600 ppm) Lighting intensity was gradually increased to approximately 370 µmol/m²/s across the canopy, providing additional energy as the young plants continue accelerating their growth. Watering remained controlled and consistent: • Day 8 – 250 ml • Day 11 – 250 ml Week-ending nutrient values: • EC: 0.9 mS/cm • pH: 6.0 Current feeding schedule: • Terra Grow – 1.8 ml/L • Pure Zym – 1 ml/L • Power Roots – 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L The entire room continues showing excellent vigor and healthy development. ⸻ Godfather OG Pheno B Now let’s talk about the wonderfully funky sister. While Pheno A earned attention with a slightly smaller leaf, Pheno B looked at that idea and decided to take it one step further. This plant has developed with an unmistakably unusual structure. Instead of immediately producing the balanced appearance seen on many seedlings, she seems determined to build her canopy her own way. At times she almost appears to be growing on three sides rather than four. And yet somehow… It works. Beautifully. The plant is healthy. The color is excellent. The growth rate is strong. And every day she becomes a little more fascinating to watch. ⸻ Development Notes Despite her unusual appearance, development throughout Week 2 has been excellent. New growth continues emerging consistently, and the plant shows no indication that her quirky structure is slowing her down. In fact, she seems perfectly happy. The newest growth remains vibrant and healthy while overall vigor continues increasing. The root system is clearly doing its job beneath the surface, supporting steady expansion throughout the canopy. This is one of those plants that reminds us why growing from seed is so enjoyable. Every seed carries possibilities. Sometimes those possibilities arrive wrapped in symmetry. Sometimes they arrive wrapped in personality. ⸻ The Funky One I think every room eventually has one. That plant that instantly catches your eye. Not because something is wrong. But because something is different. Godfather OG Pheno B has quickly become that plant. The smaller leaf expression and unusual growth pattern create an appearance that is immediately recognizable among her neighbors. Yet every photo tells the same story: Healthy. Happy. Growing. There is no struggle here. No signs of weakness. No signs of poor development. Just a plant expressing herself in a unique way. And honestly, those are often the plants that become the most memorable later in the grow. ⸻ Leaf Development One of the most interesting observations this week has been watching the newer growth emerge around the unusual leaf arrangement. Despite the asymmetry, the plant continues producing attractive foliage with healthy color and excellent texture. The newer leaves are becoming larger and more defined with each passing day. Growth remains vigorous, and the plant continues building a stronger canopy every week. Rather than trying to force her into a perfect mold, this diary celebrates exactly what makes her different. Because that’s what phenotype hunting is all about. ⸻ Macro Photography Corner This week’s photo session included another fun macro photography moment. A tiny water droplet resting on a leaf created a beautiful reflection of the LED lighting above. These little moments are easy to miss when walking through a grow room focused on measurements, feeding schedules, and environmental numbers. But they are often some of my favorite images. A reminder that even during early vegetative growth there is plenty of beauty hiding in the small details. The reflected light patterns inside the droplet created a miniature world of their own and made for a wonderful addition to this week’s documentation. ⸻ Room Life The room continues running smoothly and remains a fantastic environment for young plants. Humidity, temperatures, and irrigation have remained stable while the gradual increase in nutrient strength continues producing positive responses throughout the garden. Meanwhile, Mr. Baggy remains hard at work. Current responsibilities include: • Plant supervision • Daily inspection rounds • Morale support • Photography assistance • Looking concerned during nutrient mixing His contract has once again been extended. ⸻ Looking Ahead Next week should be particularly interesting for this phenotype. I am very curious to see whether the unusual structure begins balancing itself out or whether the plant continues embracing its wonderfully quirky growth pattern. While her sister remains slightly more reserved, this phenotype has developed into a fuller and slightly more vigorous plant, producing broad healthy leaves, a thick central stem and exceptionally tight internodal spacing. She isn’t racing upwards, but she’s steadily building a dense framework that should become an excellent foundation once flowering begins. Every week her structure becomes more balanced, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that this phenotype naturally prefers growing as a compact bush rather than a tall plant. The growing environment remains consistent across the Project Blue room, providing stable conditions for uninterrupted development. Daytime temperatures averaged 27°C, with nighttime temperatures around 25°C. Relative humidity remained at 55%, while the root zone stayed comfortable at 21°C and the nutrient solution at 20°C. Nutrient pH was maintained at 6.0, EC increased slightly to 1.3, and atmospheric CO₂ averaged approximately 666 ppm. Lighting continues under the 12/12 From Seed schedule, delivering between 600 and 700 PPFD, adjusted individually according to each plant’s height. This week’s nutrient program remained straightforward and focused on supporting vigorous vegetative growth: • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots — 1 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L The plant has responded beautifully, showing rich green foliage, healthy new growth and excellent overall vigor with no visible signs of nutrient imbalance. One of the biggest changes this week was introducing the first stage of canopy management through gentle leaf bending and leaf tucking. Unlike traditional Low Stress Training, which usually involves tying branches down, this technique simply repositions the large fan leaves so they no longer shade the developing shoots beneath them. The objective is simple: every growing tip is a future branch, and every branch has the potential to become a productive flowering site. By carefully moving the fan leaves aside instead of removing them, more light reaches the lower nodes, encouraging those secondary branches to grow stronger while allowing the plant to keep all of its solar panels intact. It’s a subtle technique that creates almost no stress, requires no recovery time, and often produces a much fuller, more even canopy before flowering begins. This phenotype has responded particularly well. Within only a short period, the lower shoots are already beginning to stretch toward the light, and the overall plant is starting to develop into the broad, symmetrical structure we’re aiming for. Overall, she continues to impress with her balance, strong branching and healthy growth. She’s still compact, but every new node adds another layer to what is shaping up to be a beautifully structured plant. Sometimes the shortest plants end up carrying the heaviest harvests, and this Godfather OG is certainly giving that impression. This is exactly why I love documenting each phenotype individually. Two plants, grown from the same pack of seeds, living in the same room, drinking the same nutrients, receiving the same light and environmental conditions… yet expressing themselves in completely different ways. And this lady decided to make an entrance. The first thing that catches my eye isn’t her height or even her branching… It’s those magnificent nine-finger fan leaves. Large, perfectly formed, beautifully symmetrical, and reaching toward the light like solar panels engineered by nature itself. Every time I walk into the room, I find myself stopping for a second just to admire them. Sometimes the simplest details become the most beautiful part of the journey. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Development Week four has been all about momentum. The root system is clearly well established now, allowing the plant to shift its energy into vigorous vegetative growth. Every branch is becoming thicker, every internode stronger, and the overall structure feels incredibly balanced. Compared to last week, she’s noticeably fuller while still maintaining excellent spacing between growth sites. The canopy is beginning to spread naturally, making future training easier with every passing day. One characteristic that really stands out is her calmness. She simply looks comfortable. No unnecessary stretching. No signs of stress. No complaints. Just healthy, steady growth. ⸻ 🌿 Those Incredible Nine-Finger Leaves I have to dedicate a section to these because… honestly… they deserve it. Those enormous nine-finger fan leaves are simply gorgeous. Wide blades. Perfect symmetry. Strong petioles. Beautiful texture. Deep, healthy green colour. Each leaf is functioning like a giant solar panel, collecting every possible photon from the Future of Grow LEDs and converting it into energy for explosive growth. They’re not just beautiful to look at—they’re a fantastic indication that the plant is photosynthesizing efficiently and building the energy reserves she’ll need once flowering really begins. Sometimes growers become obsessed with removing leaves too early. Personally, I look at leaves like these and think… “Why would I remove one of the plant’s biggest energy factories?” For now, they’re staying exactly where nature intended. ⸻ 🌱 Low Stress Training & Leaf Tucking Training continues to remain gentle and patient. Instead of heavy manipulation, I’m allowing the plant to dictate the pace while simply guiding branches into better positions using Low Stress Training. Large fan leaves are carefully tucked whenever necessary, exposing developing shoots underneath without sacrificing photosynthetic capacity. It’s amazing how quickly the lower branches respond once they receive just a little more light. Each adjustment is small, but together they slowly create a flatter, more productive canopy that should pay dividends later in flower. Sometimes less really is more. ⸻ 💧 Feeding Program The feeding schedule remains exactly where the plant wants it. Current solution: • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots — 1 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L Adjusted to: * pH 6.1 * EC 1.35 mS/cm The plant continues responding beautifully, with healthy new growth appearing daily and no indication that any adjustments are needed. When the leaves tell you they’re happy, the smartest decision is often to simply keep doing what you’re doing. ⸻ 🌡️ Environmental Conditions The room continues running remarkably well considering the outside temperatures. Current environment: • Day temperature: 33°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 63% • CO₂: 639 ppm • Solution temperature: 26°C • Root zone temperature: 21°C Although daytime temperatures remain relatively high, stable irrigation, consistent humidity, healthy root development and continuous airflow are allowing the entire room to thrive. It’s another reminder that plants respond to the complete environment, not just a single number on a thermometer. ⸻ 🔭 Looking Forward Over the coming week I’ll continue opening the canopy through gentle leaf tucking while allowing those side branches to establish themselves before the flowering stretch begins. If she continues growing with this kind of balance and vigour, I expect a beautifully structured plant with excellent light penetration and multiple strong flowering sites. One of my favourite aspects of this project is documenting every phenotype individually. Although every plant is receiving the same care, the same environment, and the same attention, each one responds in her own unique way. Godfather OG Pheno B is a perfect example of that. Standing proudly among the tallest plants in the room, she’s developing into a vigorous, elegant lady with excellent structure, healthy growth, and an increasingly impressive canopy. She may share the same name as her sister… But she’s writing a completely different story. ⸻ 🌱 The Journey So Far If you’re joining this diary for the first time, welcome! This entire project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed technique. Instead of allowing a long vegetative period before switching to flower, every plant has remained under a constant cycle of 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness from the very beginning. This allows every phenotype to express its own natural rhythm. No forcing. No extended veg. Just letting genetics decide when they’re ready to bloom. That has become one of the most educational parts of this entire grow. Watching siblings respond differently under identical conditions never gets old. ⸻ 🌸 Flowering Has Officially Begun For me, this marks Week One of Flower. She’s now fully entering that exciting transition where vegetative growth slowly gives way to reproductive growth. Fresh white pistils are appearing across the tops and developing branches. Those tiny white hairs are the first signs of the flowers to come. During the next several weeks they’ll multiply rapidly as each growth tip transforms into a future cola. Every morning brings another little surprise. Throughout vegetative growth I’ve relied mainly on gentle Low Stress Training, carefully bending leaves and branches to improve light penetration while allowing the plant to maintain her natural architecture. Rather than forcing the plant into shape… I’ve simply guided her. Now those early adjustments are beginning to pay off as multiple flowering sites receive excellent light exposure. Every branch is beginning to compete for the spotlight. ⸻ 💧 Hand Watering — Precision Through Observation Unlike her sister, this phenotype is being hand-watered, allowing me to monitor her individually at every irrigation. Hand watering offers a different type of control. Each watering becomes an opportunity to inspect the plant closely, evaluate her response, monitor runoff, and make small adjustments whenever needed. It’s a slower approach than automated irrigation, but it creates a very personal connection with each plant. As flowering begins, the feeding program has also transitioned to support this new phase of growth. Bloom nutrients are gradually taking the lead while maintaining enough nitrogen to fuel the final stretch before the plant fully commits her energy to flower production. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Continues to Deliver The grow room continues providing an exceptionally stable environment. Current conditions include: • Day temperature: 31.1°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 72% • Nutrient solution: 24.2°C • Root zone: 21°C • CO₂ concentration: 639 ppm Everything remains remarkably consistent, allowing the plants to focus entirely on healthy growth. As flowering progresses and the buds begin to develop greater density, humidity will gradually be reduced to create the ideal environment for the weeks ahead. One of the greatest joys of running a true phenotype hunt is discovering how differently each individual plant expresses herself, even when every variable remains exactly the same. Same genetics. Same lighting. Same environment. Same feeding philosophy. Yet every plant tells her own story. Godfather OG Pheno B is proving that perfectly. While some of her sisters are building broader, bushier canopies, this lady has chosen elegance over width, reaching confidently toward the lights with long, graceful branches and beautifully spaced flowering sites. She isn't trying to be the biggest. She's simply becoming herself. And that's exactly what makes phenotype hunting so fascinating. 🌱 The Journey So Far If this is your first visit to this diary, welcome! Every plant in this project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed technique. Rather than extending the vegetative stage before inducing flowering, every seed has lived under twelve hours of light and twelve hours of darkness from the very first day. That means I never decide when flowering begins. The plants do. Each phenotype follows its own internal clock, revealing its own pace and personality. It's one of the reasons this project has become such an incredible learning experience. Watching sister plants develop into completely different individuals under identical conditions never stops amazing me. 🌸 Week One of Flower This week marks what I consider Week One of Flower. The transition is now unmistakable. Fresh white pistils are emerging across every growing tip, quietly announcing that the plant has shifted her priorities from building stems and leaves to creating flowers. These tiny white hairs may seem insignificant today... …but they are the first chapter of every future cola. Every morning seems to bring another cluster of pistils, another little burst of growth, and another reminder of how quickly this stage evolves. It's one of my favourite moments in the entire cultivation cycle. Godfather OG Pheno B has chosen elegance. 👑 Beautiful From Top to Bottom Now standing at approximately 155 cm, she has become one of the tallest plants in the room while maintaining wonderful balance throughout her entire structure. Everywhere I look I see healthy flower sites preparing for the weeks ahead. It's the kind of architecture growers hope for before the buds really begin stacking. 🍃 Vibrant Colour & Early Flowers One of my favourite things about this phenotype is simply how healthy she looks. The foliage carries a beautiful rich green colour. The leaves are perfectly formed. The stems remain strong and upright. And those fresh white pistils... They're everywhere. The flower sites are becoming more defined every single day as small clusters of calyxes slowly begin stacking together. At this stage the buds are still young, but you can already see the foundation of what they'll eventually become. It's always amazing watching flowers slowly build themselves one calyx at a time. There was no long vegetative period. No attempt to force every phenotype into the same shape. Instead, each plant has been given the same environment and the freedom to reveal what is naturally inside its genetics. And that has created one of the most fascinating parts of this entire project. Twelve plants. Twelve personalities. Godfather OG Pheno B and her sister are a perfect example. They share the same genetic name. They are growing under the same environmental philosophy. They receive the same lighting and feeding strategy. Yet they are very different plants. Similar family traits. Very different personalities. And that's exactly what makes a phenotype hunt so exciting. 👑 She's Getting Tall Godfather OG Pheno B has now reached approximately 160 cm. She's continuing to stretch upward while maintaining that elegant, open structure that has defined her throughout the grow. Her branches remain nicely spaced. Her canopy is naturally open. And the further she goes, the more curious I become about where this structure will eventually take her. 🍃 That Beautiful Green One of the first things that catches my eye when I look at her is her colour. She's lush. That rich, healthy green is still present throughout the plant, and the foliage looks strong and well supported. The leaves are beautifully formed, the stems are holding themselves confidently, and the entire plant has that unmistakable look of a phenotype that is comfortable in her environment. There is no reason for me to interfere. No reason to force a shape. No reason to remove something simply because I can. She's telling me she's happy. And then there are plants that simply look at you and say: “I'm good. Just let me grow.” 😂 Godfather OG Pheno B is definitely one of those girls. This week, she's happy. She's growing. She's adapting. She's building flowers. She's beautifully green. And she's asking for absolutely nothing. So what am I doing? Exactly what she wants. I'm letting her grow. 🌱 🌿 The Happy Girl in the Room There is something incredibly satisfying about walking into a room full of more than twenty plants and finding one that simply looks completely comfortable in her surroundings. Godfather OG Pheno B is giving me exactly that feeling. She's not complaining. She's not demanding anything. She's not asking for a special intervention. She's just continuing to do what she has been doing from the beginning: growing beautifully. And honestly, I love it. At around 160 cm, she's among the taller plants in the room. But I want to make something clear. This run isn't about producing gigantic plants. We haven't been chasing enormous heights. And that's something I'm actually very happy about. The plants are growing into what I would consider a beautiful, manageable size, while still creating strong structures and plenty of flowering sites. For me, that's a win. 👑 A Different Queen From Her Sister And once again, her relationship with Godfather OG Pheno A makes the phenotype hunt even more interesting. Same genetics. Same room. Same lighting. Same irrigation. Same reservoir. Same general treatment. Yet two very different personalities. Her sister has been one of the demanding girls in the room. Pheno B? She's basically: “Don't touch me. I've got this.” 😂 And I respect that. That's exactly why I don't want to force every plant into the same behaviour. The whole point of this experiment is to give the genetics the opportunity to express themselves. And Godfather OG Pheno B is expressing herself beautifully. 🍃 That Lush Green One of the first things I notice about her is the colour. She's lush. That beautiful, healthy green is still running throughout the plant, and it gives her a very strong visual presence. The foliage looks happy. The structure looks balanced. The plant is carrying herself confidently. And when I compare her to some of the more demanding phenotypes in the room, the contrast is fascinating. She's not screaming for anything. She's simply using what we're providing and turning it into growth. That's the kind of response every grower loves to see. 🌸 The Buds Are Coming From Everywhere And this week, the flowers are really beginning to take over the story. The bud development is becoming much more obvious, and the structure is starting to show exactly where this plant is heading. What I particularly love is the consistency of the flower formation from bottom to top. We're not just seeing beautiful development at the highest points. We're seeing flowering sites developing throughout the plant. And this is where the lighting strategy becomes especially interesting. The combination of the overhead lighting with the inner-canopy and under-canopy lighting is doing an outstanding job. Light is reaching much deeper into the structure. And we're getting flower development throughout that vertical space. That makes me very curious about how these lower flowers will continue to develop as we move deeper into flowering. 💡 Above, Inside & Below This is something I've been particularly happy with during this run. The Future of Grow LED Black Series provides the main overhead light. But we're not asking the top light to do absolutely everything. The inner-canopy lighting and the LumiFlora under-canopy lighting are helping bring photons into areas that traditionally receive much less direct light. And when you look at Godfather OG Pheno B... you can see why that matters. She's tall. She's open. She's got flowering sites distributed throughout her structure. And now we're seeing that flower development progressing from the upper canopy down toward the lower areas. That's exactly the kind of structure I wanted to see. Not one giant flower-covered ceiling with forgotten branches underneath. Instead: light → leaves → flowers from top to bottom. And so far, it's looking beautiful. 🌱 No Need to Interfere This week there was no reason for me to make major changes. No dramatic training. No unnecessary defoliation. No attempt to reshape her. No trying to make her behave differently. She's already giving us exactly what we want. So I'm following one of my favourite cultivation rules: If it isn't broken, don't fix it. Sometimes growers feel like they need to be doing something constantly. But plants don't need our hands on them every day. Sometimes the best thing you can do is observe. Look. Listen. No collapse. No hesitation. Just growth. Beautiful growth. 😂👑 Godfather OG Pheno B has become one of those plants that I genuinely enjoy walking up to because every time I look at her, I see something I like. She's dense. She's compact for her structure. She's beautifully green. Her flowers are developing wonderfully. And she has this unmistakable personality that says: "Keep it coming. I'm not finished yet." 😂🌿👑 So this week, once again... the spotlight belongs to her. 🌱 Week 10 – Still On Her Way to Heaven I'm honestly not completely sure where this girl is going. 😂 But I like where she's going. Very much. Every week, she seems to become a little more impressive. The plant is continuing to develop those beautiful flowering structures, and there's a real sense now that she's settling into her own final form. She's not trying to become her sister. She's not trying to become another plant in the room. She's simply becoming Godfather OG Pheno B. And I really like what I'm seeing. There's something very satisfying about watching a phenotype gradually reveal itself. At the beginning, you have an idea. Then the plant grows. Then she branches. Then she flowers. And eventually you start thinking: "Okay... now I see who you are." And with this girl, I'm definitely starting to see it. 🍃 That Beautiful Green One of the things I really love about her right now is the colour. That beautiful, healthy green is still such a strong part of her identity. And what's particularly interesting is how similar the overall colour expression is becoming compared with her sister. They're different plants. Different structures. Different personalities. Different ways of approaching the same environment. But there is still that family resemblance. You can look at them and think: Yep. Those two belong together. And then you look closer... and realize how differently they've interpreted that same genetic potential. But here's what I really like about the situation: She's not showing me obvious signs that she's struggling. She's not throwing up warning flags everywhere. She's growing. She's flowering. She's maintaining that beautiful colour. She's developing density. She's continuing to progress. So her appetite is simply part of her personality. Some plants are happy with a little. Some plants want seconds. Godfather OG Pheno B apparently wants to know whether there's dessert. 😂👑🍰 And honestly... if she keeps looking like this, I'm not going to complain about her appetite. She's putting those resources to work. 💡 She's Catching Photons Like She Means It And once again, we have to talk about the invisible workers in this room: photons. Every day, the lights come on. Photons begin moving through the canopy. And this girl is ready. She's got a substantial amount of healthy foliage positioned throughout her structure, giving her plenty of opportunity to intercept that light. The photons arrive. The leaves capture what they can. And the plant uses that captured energy to support everything happening inside her. Growth. Maintenance. Development. Flower formation. All those beautiful things we're able to see with our eyes are connected to something we can't see at all. Light energy. And Godfather OG Pheno B looks like she's taking full advantage of it. 💡🌿 She's not just sitting underneath the lights. She's using them. ☀️ A Three-Dimensional Canopy This is also where I really appreciate the lighting philosophy we've been using throughout the 8×8. The main Black Series LEDs provide the primary overhead illumination. But the canopy isn't a flat surface. It's a three-dimensional environment. Leaves are positioned at different heights. Branches move through different levels. Flowers develop at different angles. And that's where the additional inner and lower-canopy lighting becomes interesting. We're trying to get useful photons into places that naturally receive less direct illumination from above. Not simply: "More light everywhere." But rather: "How can we make better use of the space this plant has created?" And Pheno B has created some beautiful space. She's dense. She's compact. She's structured. And she's carrying flowers throughout that structure. She's intense. She's got that Queen energy. 😂👑 But Pheno B has a slightly different expression. She's demanding too... but somehow she feels more composed about it. She doesn't seem interested in making a dramatic announcement. She just keeps growing and quietly says: "More, please." 😂 And then she goes back to work. That's the beautiful thing about having both phenotypes in the same room. The environmental baseline stays similar. The genetic expression changes. And suddenly those differences become visible. You don't have to imagine the comparison. They're right there beside each other. Two sisters. Two interpretations. Two stories. 📸 Behind the Lens I really like the photographs of this girl this week. The wider shots show the overall structure. The closer photographs bring out those developing flowers. And the combination of green foliage and increasingly defined buds makes her particularly photogenic right now. There are plants where the camera has to work hard to find the story. There's a recognizable character developing. The structure. The colour. The density. The flowering pattern. The way she carries herself. It's all starting to come together. That's what phenotype hunting is really about for me. It's not simply finding the plant that grows the biggest. It's discovering those little combinations of characteristics that make one plant stand apart from another. And Pheno B is definitely standing apart. She's becoming herself. 🌿 No Need to Force Her And once again, I'm not interested in forcing this girl to become something she isn't. She's already telling us what she wants to do. She's growing. She's building. She's staying beautiful. She's consuming resources. She's catching photons. She's filling her space. So my job is mostly to observe and make sure the environment continues supporting that process. Sometimes the best cultivation decision is intervention. Sometimes it's adjustment. The Whole Chain I think this is also one of the most beautiful things about the way we're documenting the 8×8. We can talk about photons as an abstract concept. Invisible particles of light moving through the room. But then you look at a plant like Godfather OG Pheno B. You see the leaves. You see the flowers. You see the growth. And suddenly that invisible process becomes very tangible. Light enters the system. The plant captures it. The plant processes it. And eventually... we see the result. She's maintaining that gorgeous green. She's continuing to build her flowers. She's getting increasingly covered in resin. And that personality we've been watching throughout the entire adventure? Still there. She's still a Queen. Just a very busy one. 😂👑🌸 So this week, once again... the spotlight belongs to her. Because she deserves it. ──────────────────────── 🌱 WEEK 11 – STILL BECOMING HERSELF ──────────────────────── There wasn't a huge amount of physical intervention this week. And honestly... that's perfectly fine. The plants have already done the hard work of building their structures. The branches are established. The flowering sites are developed. The canopy is doing its job. And now we're reaching the stage where I really enjoy stepping back and simply watching. Godfather OG Pheno B is doing exactly that. She's growing. She's developing. She's filling her structure. And she's becoming more and more recognizable as her own phenotype. That's one of my favourite things about this whole 8×8 Adventure. At the beginning, we're looking at plants with potential. As the weeks pass, that potential starts becoming personality. And now? I look at Pheno B and think: "Okay... I know you." 😂👑 She's the beautiful, hungry, composed Queen who quietly keeps asking for more while getting on with the job. ──────────────────────── 👑 THE QUEEN IS STILL SHINING ──────────────────────── There are plants that demand attention because something is wrong. And then there are plants that demand attention because something is going very right. Godfather OG Pheno B is definitely in the second category. She's simply beautiful. Her structure. Her colour. Her flowers. Her resin. The way she occupies her space. Everything is starting to come together. And what I particularly like is that she doesn't need to be the biggest plant in the room to make herself noticed. She has her own presence. You walk past her... and your eyes stop. 😂👑 There's something about her. She's becoming one of those plants where you already know what you're looking at before you even check the label. But then you look back at an older photograph... and suddenly: Whoa. She's changed. 😂 That's why documenting these plants matters. We're not just taking pretty pictures. We're creating a timeline. A visual record of the plant becoming herself. And Godfather OG Pheno B is definitely becoming something beautiful. ──────────────────────── 🍃 THAT BEAUTIFUL GREEN ──────────────────────── Her colour continues to be one of the things I really enjoy about this phenotype. That healthy green remains such a strong part of her character. And when you compare her with her sister, you can still see the family resemblance. Same genetics. Different phenotype. Similar foundations. Different expression. That's the beauty of having both Godfather OG girls in the same room. You can see the similarities... but you can also see the differences. We've added the two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures to the room. And after initially seeing that the available intensity was higher than our target, we've reduced the output to approximately: 💡 ~59% power from the plug That gives us around: ☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy with the intensity naturally changing depending on plant height and position. And I really like what this gives us. More lighting capacity. More flexibility. More control. Without needing to run everything at maximum. We're not interested in simply producing the biggest number possible. We're interested in creating an environment where the plants can make good use of the photons available to them. And Pheno B certainly seems happy to catch them. 😂💡👑 ──────────────────────── ☀️ THE QUEEN IS CATCHING PHOTONS ──────────────────────── I've said this throughout the 8×8 reports, but I think it becomes more interesting every week. When we look at a beautiful flowering plant, we're looking at the visible result of thousands of invisible processes. The lights come on. Photons enter the canopy. Leaves intercept them. Photosynthetic machinery captures that energy. And that energy becomes part of the enormous chain of processes happening inside the plant. Growth. Maintenance. Development. Flower formation. Everything we're looking at ultimately connects back to that energy capture. And Godfather OG Pheno B has built herself a beautiful structure for doing exactly that. She's got healthy foliage. She's got multiple levels. She's got flowers throughout the plant. She's got a three-dimensional canopy. The same irrigation philosophy. The same nutritional foundation. And yet... look at the differences. That's genetics. That's phenotype expression. And Godfather OG Pheno B is saying: "Just keep everything working." 😂 So that's what we're doing. Stable environment. Stable irrigation. Appropriate nutrition. Good airflow. Controlled lighting. I understand why. This girl photographs beautifully. The green foliage. The developing flowers. The resin. The structure. There's always something happening when you put the camera in front of her. I'm barely doing anything to her. 😂 This is one of those weeks where the grower walks into the room, looks around, checks everything, looks at the plants again... and thinks: "Yep." 😂 That's it. That's the job right now. Observe. Pay attention. See what is happening. Check whether anything is actually needed. And if nothing is needed... leave the plant alone. Because sometimes... doing nothing is actually doing something. And when I look at her now compared with the earlier weeks... it's almost funny how much plant we're looking at. She has become a substantial girl. A proper Big Mama. 😂👑🌿 She's occupying her space. She's making herself noticed. And she's doing it without asking me to constantly reach into the canopy and change something. That's exactly where I want her. Healthy. Developing. Stable. And then there are plants that seem to say: "Yes, this corner is mine." 😂👑 Godfather OG Pheno B has definitely claimed her place. She's got presence. You notice her. And they're speaking pretty loudly. 😂🌸 The flowering structures continue to develop. The buds are becoming more substantial. The pistils continue evolving. The resin is becoming increasingly visible. And the whole plant is gradually shifting from: "Building flowers" toward: "Developing what those flowers are going to become." That's one of my favourite stages. Because you can actually see the progression. You don't need to imagine what the plant might become. She's showing you. Week by week. Photograph by photograph. And Godfather OG Pheno B is showing us plenty. ──────────────────────── 💎 THE FROST IS GETTING HARDER TO IGNORE ──────────────────────── The closer we look at this girl... the more there is to see. 💎🌸 The resin continues becoming more noticeable across the flowers and surrounding sugar leaves. And this is where the camera becomes such a beautiful tool. From a distance: "She's beautiful." Closer: "Whoa..." 😂📸💎 The flowers have texture. The pistils weave through the developing structures. The trichomes begin creating that frosted appearance. And suddenly you realize just how much is happening inside what initially looks like one flower. That's why I love keeping the weekly photographic record. Because when you put the weeks together... you can actually see the plant progressing. ──────────────────────── 🌿 DOING NOTHING... AND SEEING EVERYTHING ──────────────────────── This is probably the biggest theme of this week's report. We're not doing much. And that's intentional. The plant doesn't need us to invent work. She's not asking for major training. She's not asking to be reshaped. She's not asking to be stripped. She's not asking us to constantly reach into the canopy. She's growing. She's flowering. She's developing. She's healthy. So what exactly would I gain by interfering? Nothing. 😂 My job right now is observation. I walk in. I look. I inspect. I check the flowers. I check the leaves. I check the environment. I check the irrigation. I check whether anything needs attention. And if the answer is: "No." Then... I walk away. 😂🌱 That's not laziness. That's experience. Knowing when a plant needs you... and knowing when it doesn't. ──────────────────────── 👀 OBSERVATION IS STILL WORK ──────────────────────── I think this is something people sometimes underestimate. When a grow is in its active training phase, it's easy to feel productive. You're moving branches. You're positioning things. You're adjusting the canopy. You're doing things with your hands. But later in the run? The most important tool can be your eyes. 👀🌿 You observe. You compare. You notice changes. You catch something early. You decide whether it matters. And you act only when necessary. That's what we're doing with Big Mama. We're not ignoring her. Quite the opposite. We're paying attention. We're just not manufacturing problems where there aren't any. And right now... she looks like she's doing exactly what she should be doing. ──────────────────────── 🌸 WATCHING THE PLANT CHANGE ──────────────────────── One of the most rewarding things about this stage is watching the little changes accumulate. And all of these things are part of the plant's progression. The important thing is context. We don't look at one leaf and immediately decide the whole plant has a problem. We look at the entire plant. We compare with previous weeks. We look at where changes are occurring. We look at the flowers. We look at the new growth. We look at the environment. And then we decide whether anything actually needs attention. So far? Big Mama is simply moving. And moving beautifully. ──────────────────────── ⚗️ THE NUTRITION IS STARTING TO COME DOWN ──────────────────────── We're also entering the stage where the nutritional strategy begins to change. As we approach the final part of the flowering cycle, I'm starting to reduce the mineral nutrition gradually. And this is something I personally prefer. I don't like the idea of going: "Full nutrition today." Then: "ZERO EVERYTHING TOMORROW." 😂 Especially when working with mineral nutrition. I prefer a gradual transition. Reduce a little. Observe. Let the plant continue. Reduce again when appropriate. And allow the plant to naturally move toward the end of the cycle. The plant doesn't suddenly stop being alive because we're approaching the finish line. She's still functioning. Still transpiring. Still photosynthesizing. Still developing. So for me, a progressive reduction makes more sense than slamming the door shut overnight. We're beginning that transition now. Less nutritional input. Continued observation. And allowing Big Mama to finish her work. ──────────────────────── 🌿 WHY I PREFER A GRADUAL REDUCTION ──────────────────────── Plants don't have a little calendar hanging on the wall saying: "Two weeks left!" 😂 They respond to their environment. They continue functioning. They continue using resources. And different plants can behave differently during the final stages. That's another reason why I prefer to reduce gradually. I'm watching the plant. Not just the calendar. Godfather OG Pheno B is still actively developing. She's still beautiful. She's still moving. So I'm not interested in suddenly starving her simply because we're getting closer. The nutritional input is being reduced progressively while we continue observing her response. That's the philosophy. Slow transition. No panic. No unnecessary extremes. ──────────────────────── 💡 THE ARTIFICIAL SUN IS STILL FLYING ──────────────────────── The lighting setup remains upgraded with the two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures. And we're still controlling that extra capacity rather than simply running everything flat out. Approximately: 🔌 59% power from the plug with approximately: ☀️ 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy. And once again... this is where having more capability becomes useful. We don't have to use everything. We have the headroom. We have the fixtures. We have the photons. And we can control how much we're actually using. That's much more interesting to me than simply chasing the biggest number possible. Big Mama has plenty of light available. She's got areas exposed directly to the fixtures... and areas deeper inside the canopy. So when we say approximately 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy, that's exactly what we mean. The upper canopy. The rest of the plant naturally receives different intensities. That's normal. That's physics. That's plant architecture. And the additional Lumiflora lighting helps us explore how we can bring additional illumination into deeper parts of that structure. We're not just lighting a tent. There's Big Mama. ──────────────────────── 🌸 THE FLOWERS ARE STILL BEAUTIFUL Even without this week's close-up gallery, the room footage gives us enough of a look to see that the flowers are continuing their development. They're becoming more mature. The structures are becoming increasingly established. The plant is progressing toward the final stages. And when you know this phenotype from the previous weeks, you can recognize her expression immediately. That's something I really love about these individual diaries. After twelve-plus weeks of watching a plant... you learn her. You don't need a label every time. You know the structure. You know the way she fills the room. You know the way her flowers develop. You know her personality. And Big Mama has become one of those plants for me. ──────────────────────── 💨 AND WHAT ABOUT THE SMELL? Now... this is where things get interesting. Because after being distracted by her sister... I started comparing. 😂👃 And I have to say... Pheno B is definitely not silent. She's not as loud as her sister. Or at least... she doesn't seem to be right now. Her aroma isn't hitting me in quite the same way. But... the profile is very similar. And I'm pretty damn sure she's getting louder by the day. 😂🔥👃 That's what I'm noticing. She's developing her own aromatic presence. Maybe she's simply taking her time. She's still carrying herself well. She's still developing. She's still got that substantial structure. And she's still doing exactly what we want her to do at this stage: Finish. There's no reason to manufacture work. There's no reason to interfere just because we don't have a camera in our hands. 😂 Sometimes the best thing you can do is simply observe. And when we look at Big Mama... she's telling us she's okay. She's continuing forward. ──────────────────────── ⚗️ THE NUTRITION IS STILL MOVING TOWARD THE FINISH As with the rest of the room, we're continuing the gradual transition toward the later stages. The upper canopy is around that ~1,500 PPFD range. Deeper areas naturally receive less. And the Lumiflora lighting continues giving us another layer deeper into that structure. We're not lighting a flat table.
