DogDoctorOfficial # Purple Haze by Zamnesia | Pheno A 🌱💜 ## Germination Week | The First Notes of a Classic Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱 Welcome to another new journey. As some of you may have noticed, I've recently adjusted the way I document my grows. With the current photo limitations on GrowDiaries, each phenotype now receives its own dedicated diary rather than sharing a single journal with its sisters. This allows me to continue documenting every stage of development in as much detail as possible while selecting the best photographs from each week. The objective remains exactly the same as always: To create a complete educational record from seed to harvest while sharing observations, successes, mistakes, lessons learned, and everything in between. Today, we begin following Purple Haze Pheno A. --- ## A Name That Carries History Some cultivars arrive quietly. Others arrive carrying decades of history behind them. Purple Haze is one of those names that almost every grower has heard at some point in their journey. Whether through cultivation, cannabis culture, music, or simple curiosity, Purple Haze has earned a place among the most recognizable names in the community. And now it's time to see how this particular phenotype chooses to tell her story. For this run, we're following Purple Haze from Zamnesia Seeds, cultivated under a 12/12 from seed schedule from the very first day of life. A method that is a little different from what most growers choose, but one that has become part of my own cultivation style over time. Throughout this diary, I'll do my best to explain not only what I'm doing, but also why I'm doing it, allowing anyone interested to follow the process from beginning to end. --- ## Germination Using the Cannakan System To begin this run, I used the Cannakan germination system. The concept is simple and practical. The container is divided into separate chambers, allowing multiple cultivars to be germinated simultaneously while remaining properly organized and labeled. The seed was placed inside using only plain water. No nutrients. No additives. No stimulants. Just water. Within approximately 24 hours a healthy taproot had already emerged and the seed was ready for the next stage. Simple. Clean. Effective. Exactly what we hope to see. --- ## Why Only Water? One question that often appears during germination is: "Why not feed the seed immediately?" The answer remains simple. The seed already contains everything required for its first stage of life. Nature packed all the energy reserves necessary for root development and early growth long before we ever became involved. At this stage, I prefer allowing the seed to do exactly what it was designed to do. The objective is not to feed the plant. The objective is simply to wake it up. Water is enough. --- ## First Experience Using Coco Starter Plugs This run also marks my first experience using coco starter plugs. The plugs were fully hydrated and then gently squeezed to remove excess moisture while maintaining a healthy balance between water retention and oxygen availability. Once germinated, the seed was carefully inserted into the plug and placed inside a humidity dome. The dome remained useful for only a short period. Within less than 24 hours the seedling had already emerged and was ready for the next step. At that point, she was transplanted directly into a small container filled with Plagron Lightmix. --- ## Environmental Conditions Environmental conditions remained intentionally simple and stable. Temperatures remained around 26–27°C. Humidity was maintained between approximately 65–70% using a Spider Farmer humidifier. Rather than keeping seedlings inside extremely humid conditions for extended periods, I personally prefer introducing them relatively early to the environment they will actually experience throughout their life cycle. The objective is adaptation rather than dependence. Airflow remained extremely gentle. Just enough movement to keep the air fresh without creating unnecessary stress. --- ## Lighting Lighting during germination remained intentionally soft. Young seedlings simply do not require intense light levels yet. The goal is healthy establishment rather than aggressive growth. Once properly established, this girl will move under the Future Of Grow Black Series 600W full-spectrum LED system where the next stage of development begins. For now, healthy beginnings remain the priority. --- ## First Observations Everything has progressed exactly as hoped so far. Fast germination. Healthy taproot. Strong emergence. Healthy color. Good vigor. And perhaps most importantly: A strong beginning. At this stage every phenotype is still an unwritten story. And honestly, that's one of the most exciting parts of growing. No matter how many seeds we start, every plant still carries a little mystery inside. --- ## Looking Ahead Over the coming weeks we'll follow Purple Haze Pheno A through its early stages of development and beyond. We'll explore: - Root establishment - Early structure - Environmental management - Watering practices - Light intensity - Growth observations - And whatever unique characteristics this phenotype decides to reveal Because every journey begins with a seed. And every seed deserves the opportunity to tell its story. Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone joining along for another seed-to-harvest adventure. Grower's Love everyone. 🌱💚

DogDoctorOfficial Purple Haze Auto by Zamnesia 💜🌱 Week 1 Vegetation | Finding Her Rhythm Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱 Welcome back to another week of this seed-to-harvest adventure. Today we’re looking at Purple Haze Auto – Pheno A, one of the girls sharing the room with the rest of the current project and already showing some very promising early development. As with the other cultivars in this run, the objective remains simple: Create a complete and honest record from seed to harvest while documenting not only the successes but also the small variations that make every phenotype unique. And during this first week, Purple Haze A has already started showing a little personality of her own. ⸻ Settling Into Her Final Home Like all plants in this project, Purple Haze A was transplanted directly into her final 15-liter container filled with Plagron Lightmix. Because this entire run follows a 12/12-from-seed approach, I prefer giving the roots their final destination immediately rather than introducing additional transplant events later. The reasoning is simple. Every day matters when growing under a shortened photoperiod. By avoiding future transplants, the plant can dedicate its energy toward root expansion and vegetative development from the very beginning. The goal is uninterrupted momentum. And so far, she seems very happy with the arrangement. ⸻ Environment Environmental conditions remained identical to the rest of the garden throughout the week. 🌡️ Day Temperature: 27°C 🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C 💧 Humidity: 55% 🌱 Root Zone Temperature: 21°C ☁️ CO₂: Approximately 600 ppm Lighting was provided by the Future Of Grow Black Series LED system at approximately 350 PPFD under a 12/12 light schedule. At first glance, 350 PPFD may seem relatively strong for a young seedling. However, because these plants only receive 12 hours of light each day, total Daily Light Integral (DLI) remains significantly lower than what would be delivered under an 18/6 schedule. The objective is to allow seedlings to adapt early to stronger light levels while still maintaining a safe and balanced daily light exposure. So far, Purple Haze A appears to be responding extremely well. ⸻ Nutrition The first irrigation consisted only of water, allowing the seedling to establish itself naturally within the fresh substrate. A few days later, a very gentle feeding program was introduced consisting of: • Plagron Terra Grow • Plagron Power Roots • Plagron Pure Zym • Plagron Sugar Royal All applied at light concentrations appropriate for young plants. At this stage the focus remains root development rather than aggressive top growth. Healthy roots first. Everything else follows. ⸻ First Week Observations Purple Haze A delivered a very enjoyable first week. During the earliest days, some of the leaf development appeared slightly quirky and uneven, which is not uncommon during the seedling stage. Young plants often produce small irregularities while they establish themselves, and most of the time they quickly grow through them. That’s exactly what happened here. As the week progressed, growth became increasingly symmetrical and vigorous. New leaves emerged rapidly. Color remained healthy. Leaf posture stayed positive. And by the end of the week she rewarded us with beautifully formed three-finger leaves. One of my favorite observations was how “awake” she looked throughout the week. The leaves consistently displayed that upward praying posture growers love to see, suggesting she was comfortable with both the environment and the light intensity being provided. Nothing dramatic. Nothing complicated. Just a young plant doing exactly what a healthy young plant should do. ⸻ Looking Ahead Week one was all about establishment. Roots exploring fresh substrate. The plant adapting to its final container. Early nutrition beginning to support new growth. And Purple Haze A gradually transforming from a small seedling into a young vegetative plant. The slightly quirky first leaves have already begun giving way to more defined growth, and the appearance of those strong three-finger leaves suggests she’s settling into her stride nicely. The real fun begins from here. Over the coming weeks we’ll continue following her structure, vigor, and whatever unique Purple Haze traits decide to reveal themselves along the way. For now, she’s healthy, growing steadily, and looking very comfortable in her new home. A fantastic start to Week 1. Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone following along on another seed-to-harvest adventure. Grower’s Love everyone. 🌱💚💜

DogDoctorOfficial Week 2 - Purple Haze Pheno A 💜🌿 Hello everyone, and welcome back to another update from the 8×8 Adventure! For anyone joining for the first time, this project follows multiple Zamnesia cultivars grown side-by-side under a 12/12-from-seed schedule. Each phenotype is documented individually so we can follow every plant’s unique journey from germination all the way through harvest. This week we’re checking in on Purple Haze Pheno A. And honestly? She’s making it very difficult not to smile every time I walk into the room. ⸻ Week 2 Overview The entire room continues progressing beautifully as the plants establish themselves after transplant and settle into their final containers. Environmental conditions remained stable throughout the week: • Light Schedule: 12/12 • Day Temperature: 27°C • Night Temperature: 25°C • Relative Humidity: 55% • Solution Temperature: 20.1°C • Substrate Temperature: 21°C • CO₂: Ambient (~600 ppm) Lighting intensity was gradually increased to approximately 370 µmol/m²/s during the week. Watering schedule: • Day 8 – 250 ml • Day 11 – 250 ml Week-ending nutrient values: • EC: 0.9 mS/cm • pH: 6.0 Current feeding schedule: • Terra Grow – 1.8 ml/L • Pure Zym – 1 ml/L • Power Roots – 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L The entire garden appears to be responding extremely well to the current environment. ⸻ Purple Haze Pheno A – A Lesson in Consistency Some plants attract attention because they’re unusual. Others stand out because they’re quirky. And then there are plants like this one. Plants that simply do everything right. From the moment this seedling emerged, Purple Haze Pheno A has been one of the most consistent plants in the entire project. Every week she arrives with the same message: “I’m healthy. I’m growing. Everything is under control.” As growers, we often spend time discussing problems, mutations, deficiencies, or unusual traits. But there is also something beautiful about a plant that simply executes perfection day after day. And that’s exactly what this phenotype is doing. ⸻ Loving the Transplant One of the biggest observations this week was how comfortably she settled into her new home. The transplant appears to have been received exceptionally well. There was no visible hesitation. No slowdown. No stress response. Instead, she immediately continued pushing forward with vigorous new growth. The leaves expanded. The structure strengthened. The overall plant simply became larger and more confident. When a transplant goes smoothly, the difference can often be seen within days. This week was a perfect example of that. ⸻ The Bird’s-Eye View Several of this week’s photographs were captured from directly above the canopy. And honestly… Those images tell the entire story. Looking down from above, this phenotype is remarkably balanced. The leaf spacing is uniform. The growth pattern is symmetrical. The center growth is developing evenly. The overall structure feels organized and intentional. Sometimes a top-down photograph reveals things that side profiles don’t show. In this case, it revealed something very simple: A beautifully built young plant. ⸻ Big Leaves, Big Potential One thing that immediately stands out with this phenotype is leaf development. For this stage of growth, the fan leaves are impressively sized. The plant is building a strong solar panel network early in life, capturing and converting light efficiently as growth accelerates. Healthy leaves are often one of the clearest indicators of overall plant health. And these leaves look fantastic. Large. Clean. Well-formed. And positioned perfectly to continue driving vigorous growth moving forward. ⸻ Color and Vigor The color this week deserves special mention. The foliage carries a rich, vibrant green tone that reflects excellent health and strong nutrient uptake. Nothing appears forced. Nothing appears excessive. The plant simply looks comfortable. The kind of healthy green that growers love seeing when opening the tent. Combined with the upright posture and vigorous growth, it creates an overall impression of a plant that is thriving rather than merely surviving. ⸻ Building a Strong Foundation At this stage, the most important work is happening beneath the soil surface. While the visible growth naturally attracts attention, the root system continues expanding throughout the container. The goal during these early weeks is simple: Build the strongest foundation possible before flowering development begins. Every healthy leaf. Every new node. Every centimeter of growth. All of it contributes to what this plant will ultimately become later in the cycle. And right now, Purple Haze Pheno A appears to be building that foundation exceptionally well. ⸻ Room Life Beyond the plant itself, this week’s photos captured some of the everyday details that help tell the story of the garden: • Whiteboard tracking and planning • Calendar documentation • Room-wide environmental views • Daily grow operations • Equipment monitoring • Nutrient management Good gardens aren’t built only through watering and feeding. They’re built through consistency. Documentation. Observation. And paying attention to details over long periods of time. The calendar and whiteboard continue playing an important role in helping keep the project organized as more and more plants progress through the adventure. ⸻ Mr. Baggy Report Mr. Baggy was once again observed conducting routine inspections. Current duties include: • Quality control • Plant supervision • Environmental monitoring • Photography assistance • Looking adorable while contributing very little actual labor His contract has been renewed for another week. ⸻ Looking Ahead Over the next week I expect to see: • Continued canopy expansion • Larger fan leaf development • Increased stem thickness • Stronger root establishment • Accelerated vegetative growth • Further expression of phenotype-specific traits If she continues at this pace, Purple Haze Pheno A could become one of the structural standouts of the entire room. She’s already making a compelling case. ⸻ Final Thoughts Week 2 has been another excellent week for Purple Haze Pheno A. She loved the transplant. She continues displaying outstanding vigor. The leaf development is exceptional. The structure is beautifully balanced. And the overall health of the plant is difficult to fault. Some plants surprise us. Some plants challenge us. And some plants simply remind us what healthy growth looks like. Right now, Purple Haze Pheno A belongs firmly in that last category. Healthy. Balanced. Vigorous. Beautiful. Exactly what every grower hopes to see. A huge thank you to everyone following along and supporting this project. Special thanks to Zamnesia, Plagron, Future of Grow, and all partners helping make this adventure possible. And as always, thank you to the community for joining me on this journey from seed to harvest. Growers Love and see you all next week for another update from the 8×8 Adventure. 💜🌿✨
