rommyu surprised by the explosive growth compared to my experience of others using soil as a growth medium. Gives motivation to this first attempt. It's alive!!!!

rommyu Its alive is an understatement. How it grows!. In a 60x60 tent gotta start trimming fast before they reach the edges! Also cut the axillary growths from the first and second and topped the 5th node keeping the third and fourth node pairs.

rommyu Leaf management has become an issue as the leaves are getting pretty big and if I were a plant, i'd be feeling a bit crowded. added a reflector shield to protect the bottom area from getting too much light thereby reducing the temperature of the water. moved pump outside of tent to get colder air. insulated pot with a bubble wrap with reflective coating. result: water temp from 28 to 23 degrees.

rommyu moved it to a bigger tent as it was already perspiring too much. 90% humidity was not easy to manage.

rommyu Moved to a bigger tent. My intention is since I have this tent for sawing aluminium, and not using it at the moment, that id see how a space would reduce my need to dehumidify (since i am using co2 - fans are on only at night). Its now at a stable 1.1 without a need to de-and humidify. going to finish off this week and then start to flower next week. I plan to have 32 total apical tips. 4x4x2 = 32. and letting those grow out to about 3 nodes b4 flipping to flower or maybe in a week. we'll see.

rommyu Finally moving on to the next stage where i expect to keep the conditions more stable and plan on moving the vpd up slowly as well as move the temperature down to around 21 degrees by the last week of flower. The lighting schedule will start at 12 hours of dark and increase by half an hour weekly until we get down to 10 hrs light and 14 hours of dark for the last two weeks (last week plus flush).

rommyu Lots of issues at the moment, issues with not knowing if I have a deficiency or if the plant is progressing along. Yellowing leaves - should I let them falls off? should i remove them to prevent their getting infected and infecting others?. Outside temp is around 30-32 degrees making my ice pack on the pot side solution insufficient to keeping the temperature stable. Lots of tucking and the canopy is reaching 1m2 and the roots are so massive they fill the bucket completely (15L). They smell fresh and It feels alive, the smell the energy coming off the microbes, beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizza, like smelling a flowing river teeming with life. I didnt train the stems properly (i wanted more horizontality).. Which is causing the issues I have now. But in the old tent (which was 2x2 feet 60cmx60cm) they would touched the wall and created other issues, I hadnt decided yet where i wanted to put it next (120x240cm or 60x120cm). Im learning alot about electrical conductivity (ec) and also about how my plant responds to concentration of fertilizers and helpers as suggested by the manufacturers recipe. I have branches in the front that are not growing to the ideal height, im just tucking and tucking the others hoping they catch up. also the light ppfd is up to 1000. and the distance is about 250cm. Im hoping to get at least 350grams of dry bud, and if im lucky maybe even 500!. I plan to do the same exact grow again, with the same breed (not a clone unfortunately). Hopefully I can increase the yield as well as any factors i deem needing improvement (less electricity, optimal percentage of fertilizer, less fluctuation in vpd). in short: lots to learn! but not enough buffer!
