S4nchi Yo frens, since some of my other seedlings were snatched by birds (damn birds!) I had to improvise. Permanent Jealousy XL Auto came in as a replacement, some bonus seeds I had lying around. It's one of the newer varieties by Sweet Seeds and I'm super curious how they will turn out. Seeds were soaked in tap water for 18 hrs, then placed in Jiffy pots. They germinated just after 4 days, yay. They got transferred to the final pot (11 litres) of re-cycled tomato soil of last year, pimped up with some worm humus, horse manure pellets and vermiculite. Let's go!

S4nchi This week was rather cold, wet and grey. However, PermJ is doing quite nicely. To enhance root growth, planties were fed with diluted aloe juice. I also added nematodes to the soil to keep bad stuff away. The upcoming days will get sunnier and warmer, let's see how they develop.

S4nchi The PermJay is doing very nicely. In fact, she's the most vigourous among my current bunch of automatic weedlings. For a reason, because she's the only one that didn't suffer from the infamous bird attack. She got switched from top watering to wick bottom watering. Just in time for the massive heat wave which has been predicted for the upcoming days. It makes watering so much easier. Like in basically each of my grows, the soil was covered with douglas pine mulch about an inch thick. It helps to reduce water consumption and to prevent the precious micro-life from getting toasted. It also helps keeping bugs away. Not to mention the wonderful smell of a summer pine forest, of course.

S4nchi The PermaJay lady is well on track, doing nicely despite of the current heat wave. Or maybe because of it idk. She more than doubled her size and girth and is a real beauty already. No issues whatsoever.

S4nchi Lady PermaJay is in full flower stretch, now reaching 70 cm. Lots of buds have appeared on the main stem and the side branches. I expect her to bulk up within the next few weeks. The weather is going to be hot and sunny, nothing to complain about from a plant's perspective.

S4nchi Lady PermaJay is doing well. Buds are swelling in numbers and size and give off a first glimpse of the aroma that is yet to come. Is it green apples and peaches? I can’t really tell but it’s definitely on the fresh fruity side. A very nice and solid plant for sure.

S4nchi Lady PermaJay continues her way to greatness. Buds are swelling up nicely. Smellwise, she's the most noticeable among my autos. A tasty mix of fruits and solvents, subtle but with character. Nothing on this plant to complain about.

S4nchi Lady PermaJay, quite the pleasure to have her on the balcony. The smell she's developing is quite a mix of everything: green apples, some lemon, organic solvents, something sweet and something spicy. I'm pretty curious what the end result will look like. I haven't tried Permanent Marker yet, nor Jealousy, that's why I can't really compare.

S4nchi Lady PermaJay is doing nicely, giving me no issues or reasons to intervene. She's a beauty and I just love to watch her getting fatter week by week. Alas, harvest time is knocking at her door. She was given a final round of guano tomato nutes and some molasse.

S4nchi Final day for Lady PermaJay, yay. She proved herself as a decent yielder and went pretty sticky in the end. Buds were nice and compact. As for the smell, I still can't put my finger on it. A little fruity like pears and apples, some gasoline, some earth, a little sweet and a little sour. Quite the complex aroma mix. We'll see how it turns out after drying and curing. Being an old-school fanboy I haven't tried the parents strain yet, Jealousy and Permanent Marker, which are the hype nowadays as I was told. Without comparison, I guess I just have to find out what this is all about. Buds were trimmed wet and placed in pizza boxes. Now they can enjoy 3-4 weeks of lotus drying at 5°C.

Damn birds! Good luck with this one! I’ll follow this diary to see where it is going. Let’s hope no snails will come around 🐌 damn snails!

@MyBigFatSummerofGrow, Cheers mate, much appreciated. Now, snails is something I really don't expect. Plants are on a 4th floor balcony. Unless they learn to fly ugh.
