Germination

ReservoirCowboy Tent cleaned and rebuilt. AC cooling system installed and dialed in, dropping reservoir temps from the low 70s down to 67-68°F. First nutrient batch mixed using CalMag, FloraMicro, FloraGro, and FloraBloom. Reservoir stabilized around 300 PPM with pH settling between 5.9 and 6.1. Murder Biscuits was planted into hydroton under the FC3000, top feed system activated, and environmental conditions locked in. So far everything is running smoothly and signs of early movement beneath the hydroton have been observed. Now we wait for emergence.

ReservoirCowboy Day 0 of Feed #2 is officially underway. Mixed a fresh 2-gallon reservoir at pH 5.7, 393 PPM, 71.2°F using Cal-Mag, FloraMicro, FloraGro, FloraBloom, Rapid Start, and Diamond Nectar. The first roots have emerged from the net pot and the third node is actively developing. Plant color is healthy, leaves are expanding, and growth continues to accelerate. Hydroguard is on the way and will be added when it arrives. For now, all signs point to a healthy root zone and a successful transition into early vegetative growth.

Can’t stop taking pics of these gelato auto from 42. I have a question maybe you can answer. They are about three weeks from seed and I’m curious how long it will be too harvest?

@Schafe1001, Hell yeah man! Those are looking great for only three weeks from seed. I’m in Texas and from what I’ve seen most Gelato autos usually finish somewhere around 10–12 weeks from seed give or take depending on the phenotype and environment. If they’re only at week 3… you’ve probably still got a good 7–9 weeks ahead of you. The fun part is about to start though. Once they hit that stretch and start stacking flowers they seem to change every day. I’d be taking pictures nonstop too!

@ReservoirCowboy, approaching four weeks now, and I think the stretch has started from my photo memory Thanks for the info on when to expect buds. I do appreciate it.

@ReservoirCowboy, I was wondering about auto flowers and that stretch when they’re about to flower or start flowering. You’ve answered a question I forgot to even ask lol

Nice, same clay pebble DWC as I use. I tried soil once in 30 years and wind up with something called broad mites that you can’t see but they destroy your plant. Yay. Back on track now but I have a feeling auto flowers don’t produce AAA bud

@Schafe1001, Funny enough, one of my best runs was White Widow autos in a 6 bucket RDWC. Those girls changed my opinion on autos completely. Fast growth, easy to grow, and great smoke. Part of why I came back to hydro after getting wrecked by spider mites in soil years ago 😂. Just got roots showing on this new run and moved into Feed #2 today.

@ReservoirCowboy, nice. I just took a look at the roots and it looks like white wet spaghetti.
