Germination

burnout Hello friends time for another grow. Tilled the soil in each box, added 4 cups castings, 2 cups BuildASoil Craft Blend, and a gallon of water mixed with 1/2 teaspoon Recharge to each box and let that do its thing for a week. Sucked out any water that made it to the reservoir with a shop vac. Soaked seeds in water overnight and planted them this morning. Misted planting area, light is at 24 inches and 25% intensity for a ppfd around 150. Update after 8 days: 1 of the 5 seeds has sprouted. I have been misting every 2 days under the plastic cup. Temperature between 75 and 80 F, 70% rh. Hate waiting, hurry up sprouts!

burnout OK, three of the five seeds have sprouted, going to make June 16th the start day, hopefully the other two make it eventually. I have been lightly misting, switched to 10 ml water, will do that every two days.

burnout Day 7. Seeing yellowing on the new plants, not a lot of upward growth over the last week. The other two seeds did finally sprout, they are still rather small. Increased the light intensity to 300 ppfd, about 50% on the light. I think the yellowing is from the soil being way too hot for the seedlings. Also seeing tiny holes in the leaves, inspected all over with a magnifying lens, not seeing any insects. There are a ton of spiders in that area that take care of bad insects, so doubt those pinholes are from bugs munching the leaves. If these are stunted, that's my fault for not starting with a less nutrient rich soil. We will see how this goes, hoping the root system is healthy under the soil and growth starts taking off over the next week. Watered the three larger sprouts with 250 ml water a few days ago. Going to wait five days before doing that again. The two slower and smaller sprouts are getting 20 ml every couple days.

burnout Day 14. The two slow seeds sprouted but stopped growing, I will be pulling those out. The two stragglers may not have like the higher light intensity or the hot soil, either way they're done. New growth on the three good plants looks good, a little slow for my liking, hoping they start taking off soon. Will be adding four liters of water to each reservoir mid week or at the start of next week.

burnout Day 28. Started seeing stigmas on the plant on the left on day 24, now seeing flowering on the plant on the right and just starting on the plant in the middle. The middle plant sprouted first, the other two came up a few days later. Hoping to see some good stretch soon! Took about three days for the reservoirs to go dry last week. Added top dress along with rock phosphate and top watered each box with one gallon of water including the ferment, recharge, and build a bloom. Added another gallon of water to reservoirs today.

burnout Day 35. Good growth and they're looking healthy over the past week. Day 32 top watered with 4 liters along with recharge, ferment and buildabloom, letting the planters dry back for a few days as they seem pretty saturated, will fill reservoirs with 6 liters of plain water this evening. Took a few days to empty reservoirs of 4 liters last week, they aren't drinking a lot yet.

@burnout, nice progress buddy, those stigma are a good sign of a healthy flower site! 💫

@wolfvb, thanks man, wish there was a lot more flowering sites though! They're looking better now after a rough start. I'll be happy harvesting at least a 60 grams from each plant.
